Love the location and the spot unfortunately the mattress is a big deal with how I sleep so that would be my only negative.

We enjoyed our stay at the Historic Clarkdale Lodge. The place is old but quaint & clean. The town was a small, close community like in a Hallmark movie, which I love. We appreciated that it was pet-friendly and even welcomed our puppy with a treat and a small blanket.
The only issue we had was not in a bad way; we stayed on the weekend, and they had a bike race event; therefore, it was a problem getting in and out of our parking since the lodge was in the middle of it all. The point is, before booking, check if an event is happening on the day/s you are staying.

Very cute, amazing claw tub, definitely older appliances and plumbing but that’s what gives it its appeal! Very quiet, even when other people are staying in the other rooms, you don’t hear them. Amazing view of Jerome and the stars from the balcony! Only downside would be, I wish there were more towel options to choose from.

This place is so cute and comfortable. I stayed in room 208 which has shared access to a large outdoor patio with good seating and nice views. It also has lots of windows which makes the place bright and cheery. No complaints. The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this place and I will be back.

Great little getaway
The place was really cute! It is a small apartment with a comfy bed, full kitchen, and cool claw foot tub (we didn't use it, but I still like that it was there.) Our dogs were really comfortable there and enjoyed having their own blankets left by the manager! The check in process wasn't so smooth. I called an hour in advance as the directions stated, but I had to leave a voicemail message. Instead of calling me back or sending me a text, the manager sent an email with the room number, key pad code, and wi-fi password (yikes). As we were on the road, I didn't expect the communication to come via email, so I never even checked it in response to leaving a voicemail message. Thank goodness someone answered the check in phone when we arrived and told me to check my email! Overall, it was a nice stay.

Cozy and spacious place to stay
This place was a great home base for my daily hiking trips! It was very spacious, comfortable, & having the kitchen was awesome! I enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck & looks g at the view.

Get your reservation in writing
They claimed they never saw my request for a downstairs room and refused to refund the night I had to stay at a hotel. Awfully strange that they knew I had a pet, but somehow missed the part that the dog was elderly and couldn’t climb stairs. Nice property otherwise, quiet and conveniently located. Just make sure you get your room reservations in writing up front.

Great location
Nice to see how they fit the old and new together. But wish they hadn’t brought the toilets from Hobbittown

We were there for beauty and hiking and that is what we did!
At first we thought it was a little far out and away from things but we soon found that we loved getting away to the nice serenity of Clarkdale. We enjoyed the sunrise in our unit each morning, laughed a lot in the evening, made dinner and enjoyed the beautiful deck. We really liked watching the trains come and go and the play of the sun across the expansive valley in front of us. We made our place feel like home and very much enjoyed our stay! We would go back in a minute!

Loved staying In this little hideaway. It was quiet, great views, clean and nicely stocked. We definitely thought it was a great place in between Jerome and Cottonwood to rest for the night. Wake up and have coffee on the patio! Thanks. We would definitely stay again!

Clarkdale
Definitely on my recommendation list it was clean and peaceful, they had everything we needed for our stay. The view was amazing, there's a park just across the street for the kiddos. The drive to Jerome was less than 15 min from our room. Great experience,Thank you for your hospitality.

Historic Apartment with a View
This cozy apartment is located in quaint, Historic Clarkdale. Views of surrounding mountains, the Verde Valley, and remaining industrial sectors surrounding town. Community park located across the street, picnic area adjacent to the parking lot in addition to a second floor balcony with amazing views. Ample parking available, and we were able to easily fit my truck and trailer.
Overall we have been very happy with our stay here. Fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook throughout the trip. Lots of character in this cozy 1 BR apartment.
Note: Walls can be thin if you have noisy neighbors, but it is in a very quiet end of town in general.
Owners were extremely responsive via message and phone with any needs and questions.

Funky, CLEAN, convenient to ALL of the fun things to see/do in this interesting historic area. We spent Christmas here and it could not have been better; can't think of any disappointments for us. BUT, it was the exact opposite of staying at the typical Hilton Inn.

Unexpected pleasure after seeing room
thought we might’ve made a mistake driving up to Clarkdale Lodge. But! Once we got into the room we were just really thrilled with the cleanliness and certainly the price! Will be back !

Train visit
When we arrived apartment was very warm. AC not on. 103 degrees outside. We had to call for sheets for the hide-a-bed. Otherwise neat and clean and well stocked with supplies.

Clarkdale Lodge Is Just Okay
I always hate to leave a less that perfect review but unfortunately I'm going to this time.
Prior to my reservation I had some issues with my knee and couldn't take the second floor room I booked as I couldn't do stairs. I called and was switched to a first floor room. This room was more expensive but because of my circumstances they didn't increase my cost. Amazing service! I appreciate it!
When we drove up, we were surprised by the tall weeds around the building. It looked unkept and worried us but the room was ready when we got there and it was clean.
Upon walking into our room we found it stuffy due to no air conditioning turned on. That was okay because the air conditioners, although really loud, worked.
We found the furniture very uncomfortable except the bed, it was okay. We also found that the coffee pot was broken and I called management. They replaced it right away. I was impressed.
We also had a problem with bugs. Upon arrival there were a few dead bugs but by the time we left there were a lot of dead bugs and some not dead. This was because of the gap in the front door from the door to the floor. You can see a lot of sunlight under that door.
I'm not sure if it's because it wasn't high season but the place needs some work. Both inside and out. It's definitely not as the pictures show of the room I had. I know it's not easy to run this type of business but I would encourage you to look at a little more comfort in the room and maybe look at redoing the kitchen so the drawers don't fall out.

Good but...
We enjoyed our short stay, but there were a few things that were amiss. The check in process was confusing due to outdated info on the listing. Also, this listing sleeps 4- a king size bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room; however, the only blanket in the unit was on the king bed. There were 3 of us staying, and we didn’t have a blanket for the sofa bed..... lots of storage but no extra blankets to accommodate how many beds are in the unit. We took the sheet off the king bed to make due. Otherwise, it was a pleasant short stay.

Clean with lovely views
We truly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious enough for our two little ones, as well as my husband and I. The views were amazing. We hope to return in the summer!

Cute lodge in a quaint town
We enjoyed our stay! Clarkdale is a quaint little town within a reasonable driving distance to the Sedona area. The Lodge had everything you would need for a short stay-- TV, fridge, microwave, silverware & dishes, etc. The bed was comfortable, too! It's an older building so it's showing some wear and tear but overall it's a cute place. Thanks for a great time!

Quaint old style inn
We wished we could have spent more time in this lovely room. We where just stopping over on our way to Flagstaff. My wife enjoyed a soak in the clawfoot tub. It reminded me of Chautauqua, NY where I spent my summers. An updated (but not too updated) old boarding house. My only complaint is with the excessive VRBO charges. I have twice before shocked at final cost, and will be hesitant to use VRBO again as final cost is always way above advertised cost.

Clarkdale is a perfect place to be based to visit Jerome, Cottonwood and Sedona.
Room 208 is comfortable. It neeeds a ceiling repair in the kitchen area. A DVD player would be a nice addition.

Quaint and quirky
Nice rooms that reflect the age of the building. The window air conditioners kept the space cool during a heat wave. Loved the location.

Lovely room, great views, fun location
What a great place! Had everything we needed, clean and well stocked. Also a great jumping off point to Jerome and Sedona. Clarkdale has a couple of fun bars/restaurants and the people were very welcoming. Don’t miss the Copper Museum while there, we loved it!

Older property, but very nice!
Centrally located for road trips to Jerome, Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. Great food just a few miles away in Old Town Cottonwood. Nice deck, helpful staff, and we'll definitely be staying here again!

Perfect place!
We really enjoyed this apartment. It was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. At the end of the day we sat on the deck looking at a beautiful view and sunset. Clarkdale was so peaceful after the traffic of Sedona. Also, we liked the proximity to Cottonwood and Jerome. I would definitely go back and stay.

Perfect !
A period community and historical building and for us convenience to our family holiday visit. Easy access to Jerome, Sedona, day trip to Prescott & Grand Canyon. Cute little apartment comfy and cozy. It’s an old building so you hear things and people talking via vents at first it took us by surprise then realize it wasn’t haunted. 😂

Perfect!
My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon at the Clarkdale Lodge. It was peaceful and quiet but still close to plenty of activities. We loved this place and will be back many more times!

The lodge was a really nice follow-up to our previous night in Phoenix. Clean, plenty of room to settle in, nice kitchen & bathroom with everything you'd need to feel 'at home'. Bed was very comfy after a day of hiking & exploring! The area views off the balcony and large common deck were really nice in the morning & evenings and other guests we ran into were pleasant, as well as the lodge crew. The location was ideal for all the sights we'd wanted to cover with parks, Jerome (you can see Jerome in the hills from the common deck), Sedona, etc all within a fairly short drive. Overall a beautiful find for very reasonable rates!

The Clarkdale Lodge reminded me of a college apartment. It is old but has been polished up. Smells musty at times but it was not overpowering. We were in a corner unit and were able to have the windows open with a nice cross breeze. That freshened things up.
Parking is plentiful. It is located in a quiet area. Which also means that there are not a lot of amenities nearby. You have your choice of 2 restaurants, a couple bars, a lovely park, a minimart and a couple museums within walking distance. That said, within a 30 min. drive you have everything. Sedona, Jerome, Cottonwood, state parks, national parks, hiking, biking, fast food, fancy food, groceries, liquor stores, shopping of all sorts, ect.....
Our favorite part of the Lodge was the community deck. We met some very nice people from all over the country during "happy hour" every evening. It is a lovely space to enjoy the weather and meet new people.
Some suggestions for the apartments is to have cleaning supplies available. We stayed a week, with our dog, and having a broom would have been handy. Maybe some disposable cleaning wipes to wipe down sinks, toilets. I know some people might think that it is crazy to be cleaning when on vacation but when you stay in the same location for a few days it can get grungy. A cheese shredder and a small frying pan are a couple other things that would make the place more usable. Larger coffee cups would also be high on my list. I am not sure many people only drink 8 oz. of coffee.
My husband would stay here again. I might try something a bit more convenient but you can't beat the price.

Needed to get away, great place..
I'll get the tub room next time.

Only a few minutes outside of Sedona, we enjoyed the peace and quiet if this historic property. Tastefully decorated but not "I can't break this" style, the one bedroom unit we stayed in was adequate for our needs. Complete kitchen and small refrigerator were a welcome change from eating out.
Our unit was on the second floor and we wondered if we were making too much noise for the folks below..we are very conscious of that. Laminate floors make for loud noise but we didn't get compmaints.
No onsite laundry but clean laundromat just a couple blocks away.
We ate in Old Cottonwood a couple times, Bocce's and The Tavern. Both good choices. We did not eat at SuCasa which is very close to this property.
The big question always is...would we go back? Yes, without hesitation.
