We spent two weeks over the Easter Break. We had a triple room which seemed a little small when we got there but was actually fine for the three of us. The rooms come with mosquito nets and were cleaned daily and a couple of wash services were done speedily. The location was great, right on the beach, with a river just behind us and wildlife including Vultures, Falcons, Kingfishers and local chickens all within walking distance of other lodges and other scenic areas around Sanyang Beach and the local town. We loved the staff, they were all so kind, helpful and friendly and always greeted us warmly. Staff always did their best to resolve any issues that came up or to meet requests, for example, transport to take us on visits. One of the staff even helped find a tailor so we could get some clothes made locally.
In terms of feedback there wasn't anything we didn't like. A more varied breakfast, tea and coffee range would have been nice and the kitchen was closed after a certain time. I am not sure if this was due to Ramadan and a quieter period but the staff would try and accommodate us if we felt peckish later in the evening and also served up any fruit we bought locally for breakfast. This wasn't a big deal as the local lodges served meals later in the evenings. We experienced a couple of electricity outages but that's outside of their control. We also had two periods where the water was off but the staff did their best to change the tanks as quickly as possible and helped fetch with water from the local pipes.

I literally have found my heaven on this world!
Santana is so serene and peaceful, just like nature intended.
Amongst that you have the best group of people that will do anything to help you, all you need to do is ask! After just a few days they’re like family.
It’s a small walk down to the village and keeps it more peaceful throughout.
The room was probably the best view I’ve had in my whole life and I’ve already asked if I can move in permanently…
In Love! ❤️
Having to check out!
And please anyone moaning about the water and electricity, realise where you are and chill…it comes back on.

There weren’t water to take a shower and brush your teeth. The give you a bottle with water so you can use it for have a shower and at the toilet. The room is so hot, it has a little window but even if you open it the air doesn’t enter the room. There are lots of bugs at the room.
The staff are good people. One of them bring us at taxi to our next apartment.

Location is perfect. Just on the beach. Do not expect "european" service here, and you will not be dissapointed. Almost all properties in this area have similar conditions, and you really don't have a big choice. In walking distance (10 min) you have a minimarket with a lot of basic things. Fresh bread can be found there only in the morning.
Poor breakfast. Never got what we really ordered for dinner. Chicken was not coocked enough.

the breakfast was English and it was good i really enjoy it with my wife. and i will also like to recommend the staff of there niceness and friendly through out our stay they make the environment so nice to us to the extend i will i was in side a five star hotel like coco ocean or other five stars hotel in the Gambia the hospitality was excellence and i will share my experience with friends and family my co-worker about this wonderful small paradise in sanyang.
i will recommend the privacy of the doors and windows because the doors and windows are transparent that you who are out side will be able to see inside.
and also the installation of TV in the rooms that will help for the long stay.
