About this house rental
This remarkably private 4-season home is situated on its own secluded peninsula! Enjoy 600 feet of waterfront on this 1.2-acre level landscaped lot on Sunrise Lake. The home is situated at the end of a dead end street and has a gated drive. Southwestern exposure ensures that you will enjoy plenty of sun all day long. There is plenty to do at this tranquil retreat. Swim to the floating dock while the little ones enjoy playing on the private sandy beach or take one of our kayaks – or your own boat -- from the end of the private boat dock and explore the 250-acre lake!
Enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing, kayaking, hiking, or just soaking up the sun on the spacious deck. We provide you with two kayaks, a paddle board, a row boat, life preservers for the whole family, and floating loungers. We also have four wooden lounge chairs, two Adirondack chairs, two large umbrellas, a hammock, and a swinging bench on the beach for those who just want to sit back and relax. In the evening, enjoy a family cookout using our brand new Weber propane grill before gathering around the fire pit and roasting some marshmallows. Perhaps you can get in one last game of bean bag toss on the spacious, mossy side yard while watching the sun go down!
With all the outdoor fun, we forgot to mention the splendors of the house! The entire home has been recently renovated and has 3 spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and water views from every room. Relax in the sunroom with its high ceilings, wood paneling, sliding glass and screen doors, and sweeping views of the lake. The living room has a large, plush sectional, big screen TV and a new wood pellet stove that heats you up on those colder nights. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and is adjacent to the dining area with seating for six to eight. The master bedroom is on the first floor, directly across the hall from a full bath. On the second floor, there are two more bedrooms as well as another large bathroom. To make it feel like home, we provide plenty of pillows, fresh linens and towels for the shower and outdoors.
While spring and summer are great times to enjoy the lake, our home is meant to be enjoyed all year round! The area is renowned for its brilliant autumn foliage and, with undeveloped forest views, what better place to do some leaf peeping than from the warmth of the sunroom overlooking the lake? In the winter, take your snowmobile on the nearby snowmobile trails, venture out onto the frozen lake with your skates, or drive to Gunstock for some night skiing! With Middleton’s close proximity to the lakes regions’ most popular tourist destinations, the options are endless! We take pride in our home and we are excited to share it with our guests. We hope to see you soon!

Our family of 6 loved this home, the location and the lake. It was perfect for my little ones, my bigs and my husband and I.

This is our third time staying at this property and we love it!

The property was just as advertised but even better than you might expect. Lots of comfy outdoor seating, plenty of toys, floats etc for enjoying the lake as a 2 year old or a 70 year old! There were also kayaks and a row boat and water board. There was a big deck off the living room which was perfect. Inside was also great with a welcome package and ingredients so you didn't have to go out and buy condiments. The beds were comfortable and each room had an air conditioner if needed. The lake was warm and perfect for the little ones. Thank you for sharing this lovely place.

We loved staying at this home on Sunrise Lake. We all enjoyed the lake and there was plenty of activities this home provided. Kayaks, paddle board, floating devices for our young children, a swimming platform to jump off, and plenty of seating outdoors for relaxing! This home was clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend a relaxing week at this wonderful home!

The house was wonderfully provisioned and perfectly clean. Aaron was very responsive to any questions we might have. The beach is lovely and we enjoyed swimming every day.

This was an ideal spot for spending time with our children and grandchildren (ages 6 and 2). The kids spent a lot of time digging and splashing on the sandy beach where it was easy for us to keep an eye on them. When it rained--and when it didn't--we enjoyed spending time on the sun porch, which is spacious, comfortable and has great views of the lake. We also made good use of the deck. Being able to have a campfire was a treat for all of us, especially the young ones. Although we did not use the kayaks/boats, they were a welcome feature that we might enjoy if we come again when the grand kids are older. We also enjoyed listening to the loons, warblers and vireos.
The house is very well equipped. Nothing was missing from the kitchen or in other respects. Private location and quiet were wonderful. I would recommend this spot to people with young children or to anyone looking for a beautiful retreat by the water. We had a memorable four days here.

Home was just as listed. Very private. Nice and quiet. Just what we were looking for. Very clean, but didn’t feel sterile or like you couldn’t touch anything. Was very comfortable, warm, and felt right at home. Lake was beautiful and loved listening to the loons.

This was our first time here and we were so pleased! The location is beautiful and so private. The house was very clean and comfortable and if we forgot anything they had it… even a shoehorn… which we didn’t think they had but it was right on top of the coat rack. That was our joke of the week, the house had everything you could possibly need… even a shoehorn. The weather didn’t cooperate the whole week but it didn’t matter, everything was so beautiful. In other reviews it said it is child friendly and we completely agree. The beach was good sized, the jumping dock wasn’t too far out, and the boat dock was low to the water which I appreciated with the little ones. The sunroom was wonderful! 7 sliding doors to a wonderful large deck. I truly understand why the reviews are so good! This home and these hosts deserve it! The six of us that stayed enjoyed it immensely and any visitors we had wanted it to be ours so they could come again. By the way if you need to go out for anything, Rochester is only 20 minutes away and there was plenty. It was a week we will never forget and hopefully we will get to visit Sunrise Lake again!!!!!
Thank you so much!!

Love everything about the property ("Impeccable"); the location - what's not to love about your own private cove, on a dirt road, with neighbors you're vaguely aware of, but can't see and can barely hear?; if you want full sun-you can find it; partial shade- you'll find a spot with that; and, if you want full shade, like me, there's plenty of shade, too! Not to mention the "4-season room" (SO COMFY!!! and roomy!!! and nice 'n' breezy at times!) . The loons, eagles and ducks are so wonderful to listen to and watch! Sunrise Lake is mesmerizing all day into night. Nice, big kitchen to cook in with plenty of room for 6 adults to eat inside or out. Great grill. Big fridge. (We should have run out of room, but we didn't as we brought a good sized cooler for our craft beer connoisseurs...) The lake was a comfortable temperature- it was mid August '22. Air conditioners in all 3 bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable. Plenty of fans, too, if AC is not warranted. Lots of outdoor lake toys and chairs and cushions. I use VRBO with family and friends a lot - this place is a 9...only because my favorite house EVER! - a 10 -was on the Caribbean Island of St. John in the winter and I am from Maine!!! LOL!!! That was 20 years ago and, well, the longer ago the event... the better it was in our memories!!! Rent this place - you'll definitely want to go back!!! Thank you Owners for your Great Hospitality!!!

Perfect tranquility
If you enjoy nature, being on a serene lake, privacy, paddling on the lake, comfortable surroundings that invite relaxation and visiting with friends around the fire, on the floating dock, in the bright sunporch, or on the spacious deck surrounded by trees, the call of loons, and gently lapping waters, then this is the house for you! Meticulously clean, nicely equipped and "homey." We were guests of friends here a year ago, and I immediately booked it for our family this year. Owners were great! Everything is exactly as they describe. Bring yourselves and your food; they've seen to the rest. Easy drive to explore Lake Winnipesaukee region then return to your private paradise.

The Perfect summer lake house
Incredibly well appointed lake house. The Waterfront was both gorgeous and private. Lake water was clean and swimmable. The boats were all great, beach toys, floats, life preservers, etc.......The house itself was awesome. 7 screened sliders in the sun room facing the water, GREAT KITCHEN; everything you could want was already there............I'm not an eloquent writer, but this place is a gem. Thank you for letting our family share your home.

This was just a lovely spot to relax and unwind and enjoy the autumn beauty of New Hampshire.
Wonderful lake views, very nice house, and responsive manager who helped with a minor hiccup.

Best lake house by far!!
We cannot say enough about this Lake house. The location is AMAZING. So private. You get sun most of the day. The house itself is pristine and homey at the same time. The owners provide all that is needed for a wonderful stay. The property manager was so responsive. The kitchen well stocked with all you would need to make meals. Really the best Lake house we have rented in 5 years of renting in the Lakes region. AWESOME, AWESOME!!

peaceful retreat
Excellent vacation house. Loved the layout, especially the porch, deck, patio and outdoor seating. Well appointed kitchen made home cooked meals a breeze. Really appreciated the hosts' offering their kayaks and life vests for our use. The lake is fairly quiet and not too deep. We had no children with us but I can imagine this would be perfect for families with its small sandy beach. Highly recommend.

Great Lake house!
Stayed here with my family (husband and 2 kids, 4yrs and 1yr old) and had an amazing time! The house was VERY clean. The big deck, grill, beach with gradual incline into the lake, and dock for our boat made this a perfect lake vacation! The area was so private too. Not a whole lot to do in the immediate area but we honestly didn’t want to leave the house anyway with that great set-up.
Communication with Aaron was very prompt and easy. I would highly recommend this rental.

Once again amazing!!
This was our 2nd year at the property and it does not disappoint! From check in to our final day everything was great.
We spent time kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming to the dock. We could tell the minute we walked in that that extra care was taken in cleaning between guest. We love the property and already booked again for next year!

Waterfront peace and comfort
This home was well appointed with all the comforts of home and the waterfront location with private beach was absolutely beautiful! The home even has a generator that kicked on immediately to restore the power when a storm knocked out electricity for a short time - amazing! My children had a blast swimming out to the floating dock and using the kayaks and paddle board. The furniture was clean and comfortable and the owners did a great job making it easy to access the property without meeting in person. We had such a great time!

Fantastic
Our first getaway in over a year could not have been better. My wife and I were joined by our friends from Maine, who we had not seen for two years due to the travel restrictions. This quiet lake was perfect for surviving the first heatwave of the summer. The water was cool and clean, and the kayaks were great for cruising around the lake enjoying the abundant wildlife. We saw eagles, osprey, a great blue heron, mallard ducks with several babies, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs and toads. The firepit was a bonus and the wood provided was perfectly aged. This house was in great shape and fully stocked. The location on the lake could not be beat. We loved every minute of our stay.

Beautiful waterfront stay
The house was pristine when we got there. Host is super easy to reach and very helpful. You can tell that they prepare the house very thoughtfully keeping in mind everything you might need. The property is absolutely gorgeous, all surrounded by water. We have 2 little ones (under 4) and it was very easy to entertain them with all the options around. We went out in the kayaks, paddleboard, rowboat, spent time playing on the little sand beach, swinging in the hammock, running around the backyard, etc. The adults also enjoyed having coffee in the sunroom early morning, grilling, etc. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back another time!

Wish this were our family vacation home!
This cozy, comfortable lake house has pretty much everything you could want for a relaxing vacation. We had plans to go exploring on Saturday and cancelled them so that we could stay and enjoy the property. You won't want to leave once you arrive.
Property: house sits at the end of a little spit, very private but not remote. It's right on the lakeshore, with a small sandy beach, a flagstone patio, swimming platform and boat dock (neither in use right now due to late season). There are neighbors, but even with the leaves coming down, you don't really see them. We walked the neighborhood and were greeted with friendly waves. Looks like a lot of personal residences and full-timers, which is great.
House: cozy and comfortable. Kitchen has plenty of cooking equipment and basic foodstuffs. Great cooking range, though you will want to run the fan exhaust no matter what you're cooking or baking. The smoke detector is sensitive, and we set it off twice, just by pulling bruschetta and bacon out of the oven. Taking the pans outside and opening the windows cleared it quickly. Outdoor grill worked great for steaks.
Lots of places inside and out to relax: squashy sofas and a big screen TV for evening movies, another sofa and chairs in the sunroom overlooking the lake, many deck chairs, a hammock, a swinging bench. Choose your place for your afternoon nap! Or pull out a game - we played Jenga and 90's trivial pursuit.
Bedrooms are very comfortable with upscale linens and plenty of pillows. Master also has a TV.
What really makes the place special is the amazing outside: we were impressed to see rowboat, canoe, and kayaks. Too cold for us to take them out - but it was great to see them provided.
We *did* make use of the firepit - there's something magical about a campfire. Really appreciated the guest gift provided: all the makings for s'mores. Pro tip: roast your marshmallows outside, people. There is literally no woodstove or in-home fireplace where you want to be cleaning up marshmallow goo. (Apparently previous renters weren't aware of this, so calling it out as a PSA.)
Owners were terrific to work with. Local property manager even sent a useful 3 minute video walk through of the house.
We had a terrific, relaxing time and will absolutely be back.

Awesome Lake experience
We had such an enjoyable stay at this beautiful lake house. The owners weren't kidding when they say they have thought of every last detail to make our stay #1. The house was perfect right down to the loons that greeted us. I was worried the lake would be too small but it was just the right size to kayak ourselves around and view the most beautiful sunsets. The sunroom was fantastic, from the perfect lake view to the a great spot to catch the afternoon warmth of the sun and read or play games. There were so many comfortable nooks that we could all find to unwind in privacy. Two adults in our group were virtual working from home and the internet/wifi was excellent.

What a special place!
This home was perfect for our vacation week with family. It had everything we needed for relaxing with beautiful views, enjoying the lake, and eating family meals out on the deck. It was close enough to the Winnipesaukee towns/activities to spend some time out exploring, but far enough from the busy areas to be peaceful and quiet. We loved it and hope to come back!

We had a lovely time at the lake house. Everything is so nicely kept and clean, with lots of little details taken care of - everything from paper plates to wine and s’mores fixin’s to welcome us! Thanks so much for a lovely home. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful time
Very well appointed; everything we could have wanted was present. From the beautiful deck view, spacious rooms, communal dining area, dock, boats, fire pit, and water amenities (life vests, float chairs); this was a truly fun long weekend. Even the loons cooperated.

Great house, great location, great owners & manager!
We've tried a bunch of houses in New Hampshire over the years, and finally found one that pleased everyone in our family. There's only five of us, but we range in age from 9 to 90,* and so we need a place that's easy, comfortable, and has indoor and especially outdoor activities that keep us all occupied. And this was perfect! Our child loved the beach, the warm water, swimming out to the raft (we all did, actually). Everyone loved the floating lounge chairs and the gorgeous views from the deck. My son and I enjoyed kayaking around the lake, exploring the little islands. I could take everyone out in the rowboat. We played beanbag toss/cornhole. My son and I went on a hike up a nearby mountain. The outdoors is landscaped perfectly so we could be in kind of separate areas but still be close to one another; one person could read by the dock; another sunbathe on the deck; another swim; and two others play in the yard. We cooked local food on the grill every night (great local veggies and fruit and frozen local meat from McKenzie's farm market; great meat and fish in Wolfeboro and at nearby markets). We played some inside board games (though the weather was perfect so we were rarely indoors). The bedrooms are quiet and cool and comfortable; the kitchen and eating area are well set-up; the living room and especially sunroom are just lovely. Everything was excellent.
The owners communicated very well ahead of time, and their nearby manager, Derek, was available by text nearly 24/7 for any minor issues. There were some loud renters at a nearby house, but Derek knew the owner and got them to keep it down after the first night. He took care of everything without ever being obtrusive. We hope to be back next year!
*Note that our 90-year old could handle stairs and the walk down to the beach with a cane or walker. As the ad for the house says, the place is not fully wheel-chair accessible.

Perfect
What a wonderful week. Derek the property manager was great. He met us when we arrived and explained everything about property perfectly. The home was everything we hoped it would be. Great little beach for our 3 & 5 year olds, and private and quiet for us adults. I love hearing the loons at night. Easy drives up to Wolfeboro or even North Conway, but why go anywhere when it was so relaxing just to hang out on the beach at the lake. 5 stars, no complaints at all!

Just what we were looking for!
We vacationed with our adult girls (26,24,20) and this spot was perfect. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed and the location was beautiful and very private. Our hosts were easy to communicate with. The kayaks, paddleboard, rowboat, raft, campfire and lawn space and deck for games gave us plenty to do. And the screen room is a definite plus. We would stay again:)
