About this house rental
Looking for a place for your group to gather together? This single-family home is perfect and private! Whip up meals in the chef’s kitchen, featuring a Subzero refrigerator and Wolf stove. Island seating allows everyone to socialize while prepping meals and drinks. You might not ever leave with a game room featuring pool, ping pong, foosball, two classic arcade machines and an Xbox - but if you do the location is A+ as Lincoln Park is one of the safest places in Chicago with easy walking to two L stops and tons of shops and restaurants.
A chef's dream, the kitchen features a Subzero refrigerator, Wolf gas stove with convection oven, Bosch dishwasher and a separate wine fridge. The granite countertops and cherry cabinets give the kitchen -- the centerpiece of the house -- a warm feel. The center island with its counter-seating allows everyone to socialize while meals and drinks are prepped. The dining room has seating for up to 12 people and features an upright piano for the musicians in your group.
Every detail was considered when designing the space and you will have plenty of room to spread out. The basement rec room features a foosball table, a 7 foot pool table that converts to a ping pong table, two classic arcade machines that feature 26 classic games, as well as a library. Looking for toys to keep little ones occupied? We have them for you! We also have a full complement of board games for your enjoyment.
There are four bedrooms on the second floor (two are connected by a closable door) and two in the basement. The upstairs bathroom features a double-sink and vanity, making it easy for multiple people to use the space at once. There is also a queen-sized pullout couch in the basement.
Our home is on three levels, with stairs up and down from the main level. The house has hardwood flooring throughout each of the three levels and the basement features full-size windows and is not below grade. We have one king-size bed, four queen-sized beds, one double bed, and a queen-sized pullout couch in the basement rec room. It also has a small outdoor area with seating.
If the interior doesn't have you hooked yet, the location will! Lincoln Park is one of Chicago's most vibrant neighborhoods, home to award-winning restaurants, fun nightlife, world-renowned theater, and plenty of retail therapy opportunities. Red and Brown Line L trains are nearby for quick access to Wrigley Field or Downtown. Shopping from Apple Store and Nordstrom to award winning restaurants Alinea and Boka are down the street.
Two blocks from the Red, Brown and Purple Line trains and a half-mile from the Clybourn Metra Stop, public transportation is plentiful. We also have a Divvy bike share station directly across the street -- daily rates are available and it's a great way to see the city like a local.

This home is a Lincoln Park dream! Great location on scenic Sheffield Avenue within walking distance to many amenities. The house was spacious and clean, and the high end kitchen makes cooking large meals a breeze. The game room was a favorite with the kids and the Adirondack chairs on the front patio made a lovely location for morning coffee.

We had a lovely stay. Very close to Aldi and Trader Joe’s for last minute needs! Loved having ping pong and foosball available!

We have stayed in a number of VRBO locations over the years and what I liked the most about this location is the bedrooms and beds. With three generations of adults gathering, the queen beds were perfect for couples or singles. Everyone commented on how well they slept! I highly recommend this location for a girls' weekend or a multi-generational family!
We were literally 10 minutes away from everything we needed as far as stores, restaurants, and parks and easy access to get around town for when we did go to other areas. We walked to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods to equip ourselves to cook for 12 in the kitchen.
The front patio was a treat in the morning for our coffee drinkers and the basement game room was the perfect entertainment after dark. (Some great retro games which brought back memories for those of us over 40!)
The stairs are a little steep, but our 80 year olds were able to traverse them with handrails.
There were some nice touches that made a big difference: a welcome card from the owners and a hello in person when we saw them in the neighborhood, umbrellas in the back hall (it was a Chicago spring!) and a huge fridge that accommodated all of our diverse food / drink needs.
Overall it was a fantastic property and well kept.

We came in with a group of 10 for a long weekend. This place was perfect. Great location on N. Sheffield, the place itself was beautiful, very clean and true to the photos. When I did have a question the owner was very responsive, got back to me immediately. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 8 40+ yr old females. We all found the house very very clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time downtown so didn’t get a chance to explore the neighborhood too much, though we felt very safe at all times.
I would recommend this property to all.

This house is wonderfully located next to parks, transportation, and restaurants. Plus, it has plenty of room to sprawl.
The pool table is a little tight in it's area, but we made it work. With foosball and an oversized connect4, we had plenty to do when we were at the house.
The kitchen was well-appointed with everything we needed to cook meals for 7 people.
The owners were quick to respond to questions, which always makes it easier. They also left us chocolates and a bottle of wine! ❤️
The only tiny "con" was how squeaky the floors are in the upstairs hallway. It makes it hard to quietly sneak by rooms where others are sleeping if you're going to bed late or need to use the restroom. That was a very minor inconvenience for us, but it might be pertinent to those with infants or young children.
We would definitely stay in this house again!

Stayed here with family and friends. We enjoyed every second in this home. Very clean and spacious for my group. The host was also quickly responsive if we had any questions. Highly recommend booking this place, the pictures do not fully show how wonderful it is. Will absolutely book again if I am ever in the Chicago area.

We rented this home for a family reunion weekend. We loved the images of the property but it was MUCH nicer in person! The rooms were bigger than we expected and the neighborhood was incredible! None of us could believe how comfortable the beds were and again, the house was just so nice! The only thing better than the house itself was the owner! His level of responsiveness was above and beyond anything we expected for a rental. Everything about this property exceeded our expectations in every way. I'm already trying to come up with a reason to go back -- and soon!

Josh was great and very communicative- we are a group of friends who gather every year - this was definitely one of the nicest places we’ve stayed - foosball and pool table made for distractions and the open spaces - particularly the kitchen made hanging out and talking easy. Kitchen is open, well appointed for cooking as well. We had a great time and definitely recommend (beds were nice memory foam and pillows were nice as well (an often overlooked portion of vacation rentals)

We were 3 generations on a family get together for Christmas week. 8 of us had plenty of room to sleep, dine together and socialize. Also located near 2 el stops and a bus line making it easy to go anywhere. The owner was very responsive to any request we had!
It was no doubt a great place!

Great time staying with friends! Playing pool and foosball in the basement. Grilling a great meal on the patio. A few blocks to the train and we were on our way to Soldier Field. Great area too if you want to go out on the town!

Beautiful Home, Perfect Neighborhood
The home is beautiful and we have not stayed at a cleaner VRBO home. The bedding and towels were all high end hotel quality. Josh was very responsive and had great area recommendations. The area can't be beat - very safe and steps away to Whole Foods, Nordstrom, Apple Store, and plenty of restaurants and bars. We will definitely stay here again!

Christmas in Chicago
Overall our stay was good! The heat was difficult to regulate. But we adjusted and enjoyed our time together as a family. It was very clean. Is showing signs of wear but the location was good. Had trouble with one of the water heaters but the owner was available and it was quickly remedied.

Very nice property in a good location.
We enjoyed our stay very much. We had 8 people and there was plenty of room. Nice sized dining room and living spaces. We had an issue with the Keurig coffee maker and the owner brought a new one over within hours. Very responsive. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware. We liked the location and we walked to many places. Very close to grocery stores and restaurants. The owner gave us recommendations and we liked each place we tried! The only problem was our stay wasn’t long enough.

Beautiful and comfortable.
The home looks exactly like the pictures. The owner is very attentive. Helping us with parking so we wouldn't be ticketed on street sweeping day. He even offered to come over and help us with some tv problems we were having.
Eight adults stayed comfortably with room to spread out. Where can I get this mattress? I loved it.

Beautiful, updated house in a great location!
This house is in a perfect location - close to a lot of restaurants within walking distance and to two different train stops. We were in town for a friend's wedding and rented the house for 12 people. The house was perfect for a weekend in Chicago with friends and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Josh, the host, is incredibly responsive and accommodating and will take care of any questions or things that you need. Great experience!
