Heading in the other direction, besides the famous aquarium in Newport, you can spend the day exploring the area around the Yaquina Head lighthouse, run on Agate Beach, or just browse the shops and galleries of Newport's artsy Nye Beach area.
From inside, you'll love the ocean view from this home's wall of windows! Do some storm watching on a chilly winter afternoon while the propane stove keeps it all warm and toasty inside, or view a stunning summer sunset after dinner. My friends and I loved our time at Hanas Place. It was decorated so cute with lots of space and privacy. Loved the view of the ocean and still being in the trees. Also enjoyed opening the windows and listening to the ocean and fog horn. Although, we could hear some 101 traffic it wasnt bothersome. We would definitely stay again.

We loved the house & the view. It was so nice to have a house rather than stay in a hotel. It's just so relaxing and private and the house is so nice! The beach was very easy to get too. It was so windy when we were there but still walked the beach !

This is the second time we have stayed at Hana's Place. Owners continue to upgrade and this is a VERY well stocked home. The view is AMAZING. Very comfortable and welcoming, with easy access to a quiet beach. We saw 3 bald eagles and a heron on the beach.

We loved our stay at this lovely beachy themed home. The view from the home and deck are outstanding! This home was built to take advantage of the fantastic view!
Notes: Primary bedroom does not have a door. So romantic time or even sleeping could be difficult as sound and light drift in and out of bedroom. If you were traveling with 2 couples it might be ok as the bedrooms don't share a wall but it would have been so much better with a door of any sort!
The BBQ does not work! Don't plan on it.
Also, getting in touch with local management did not work as the posted phone number was no longer good.
Boo on management but beautiful home-so yes, we would stay again!

Amazing views! We even saw whales through the window while eating at the table. Loved the yard and hammock. House was spacious and well stocked. Overall, a great place to stay!!

The views are amazing at this house. We watched whales while eating at the breakfast table and the deck with the hammock was a fantastic place to relax! The yard was beautiful and everything was so clean. My family enjoyed the ping pong table and all of the extra activities here. Lot’s of towels and the beds were comfortable and everything was well stocked. We would stay here again.

I loved that you can see and hear the ocean from almost every view in the home including while laying in bed. You can walk right on a private beach and the home has a private gate which feels like even more privacy. I will definitely be coming back.

Amazing view in a quiet neighborhood
South Beach was quaint, comfortable quiet location set up on a hill at the end of the road facing an ocean view! The house had been updated to make it comfortable. Plenty of room for 6-7 adults. Needed a little extra thorough cleaning, otherwise beautiful choice! Communication was excellent! Stay here! Cool retro style home!

This place was perfect. Beautiful location and gorgeous ocean views. The property was so adorable. Nice touches and everything with we needed. Very well equipped. I want to go back and stay a month. Will keep it on my list for the future. Just beautiful.

Pictures and description met the expectation. Location and proximity to the coast was a plus. The two things that overshadowed the experience was upon check in time of 4pm, the housekeeping service was not complete. The housekeeper was not done until 5:30pm. No communication was provided from Vacasa. It is very disappointing to have to wait to start a vacation. Additionally, no information had been provided that this property was is a dead zone of cell service for both Verizon and T-Mobile. Yes there is internet but no cell phone service. Again a disappointment. If I had known that prior to the stay I might not have reserved this property.

Absolutely Worth It
This property was perfect. The pictures are accurate and the views were amazing. The private beach access is nice and walking friendly, although you could also drive down the hill and park. All of the necessities were included. The dryer didn’t work while we were there, but the manager was extremely responsive and handled it with zero stress. Things to keep in mind: there’s a DVD player but no DVDs. A guest book with restaurant/grocery store/places of interest would be helpful. Also, the curtains are very thin, so you’re going to bed no earlier than sunset and waking up with the sunrise. We are earlier risers, so we didn’t mind, but thicker shades would probably be nice. You won’t regret booking!

Hana's place is awesome! The view is amazing, location is great and you can walk right down to the beach (as long as you don't mind walking back up the hill!). The place has everything you need, with an nice deck, tons of windows, and even a ping pong table. We loved this place and would love to go back!!

This property was much better than described. A beautiful beach cottage tucked away in a quiet forested neighborhood. The ocean view was outstanding. It was very relaxing sitting on the deck watching the waves and spotting whales. The house was well equipped with everything you might need. Everything was in good working order and the decor gave you that beach feel. The great weather, beautiful ocean views and a very comfortable cottage made for great memories and a great time. We will definitely revisit.

Great spot to recharge
Sitting out on the deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean was the perfect way to recharge during some stressful times. We enjoyed some much needed family time and indulged in some amazing seafood. This was such a great stay!

Great ocean view and easy beach access
This beach house was perfect for our spring break getaway. The ocean view from the house is wonderful and beach access was a quick walk down a private road. Although close to town, we loved that the location felt secluded and more remote. We also loved that the location just outside of town meant we mostly had the beach all to ourselves. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for a rental house with plenty of extra blankets for cooler nights. The house was generally well equipped. One tip - other reviews mention spices and seasonings that are available in the house; while true they are very random and did not include basics like salt and pepper. I suggest bringing/picking up your own. The only problem we had was that the dryer was broken during our stay, which we didn't discover until the morning we were leaving and the clothes put in the dryer the night before were still wet and cold. Assuming that was repaired quickly, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Cute house. Two concerns: the air fresheners were so strong I was sick. Also looks like the owner did their own wiring. It looks like a fire waiting to happen. Prop manager responded quickly but nothing could be done about fragrance.
