Our cabin was just as described. Enough room of all 11 of us without getting in each other's way. The amenities were stellar and enjoyed by all. I would recommend this place to anyone with a large group.

Our family visits the Blowing Rock area every fall. We outgrew the cabins that we had rented for many years and took a chance on this property last year . . . and we were happy to return to it again this year! The house is spacious but still has a cozy warm "cabin in the woods" feel, and the location is great . . . it feels like you're out in the woods all alone, but it's an easy 5-10 minute drive into Blowing Rock and about 15 minutes into Boone. We wanted for nothing while we were there, but the property mgt company made sure that we knew they were there for us if we did, which was much appreciated. We'll be back!

I want to give this place the benefit of doubt- the owner said that this mistake had NEVER happened before and no one had ever complained about cleanliness at this location. But our experience was just egregious- sheets had not been washed (seriously, it's like someone shaved their pubes in one of the bunks and remade the bed), dirty pans had been stacked in the oven, the floors hadn't been cleaned in a VERY long time, there were exposed nails and screws where outdoor furniture and railing was busted, a box spring in the basement was straight up BROKEN IN HALF, a shower drain had been clogged with a huge knee sized bandaid, and there were snags in the furniture that were straight up lethal if you didn't pick your feet up while you walked. This was super fun, since we had a TODDLER staying with us. We found new things every day that were varying levels of gross that all should have been addressed before our arrival- but it's like the housemanager dropped off the clean towels, made the beds (without changing the sheets), and made sure the sink was empty, and said "GOOD ENOUGH." 'Twas not good enough. The owner of the house apologized and gave us a partial refund, but I'd be lying if I said it felt adequate for our troubles. The state of the house was a motivating factor for multiple of our friends leaving the trip early, and the grossness absolutely worsened our experience. Very disappointing.

This home was exactly what my family needed for a family of 14. It was perfect in every way. Each room in this home was so big and comfortable. We couldn't of pick a more perfect place and location. It also had everything we could of needed and more. We all loved the Hot tub, pool table, games, etc. Once again it was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your home with my family.

Family had a great time and house had a nice view of mountain valley sunrises. You could also hear Tweetsie railroad below. Children loved the roominess of the floorplan. Neighborhood was nicely quiet, even on New Years Eve.

It was a great house for our family and we had a great time! The carpet didn’t get vacuumed before we came but the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were great! It was so easy to work with the management.

The cabin was amazing. Clean and well stocked and perfect for a girls getaway. The check in information that was sent to me was inaccurate. The code sent did not work. When I called the number provided in the email twice there was no answer. We arrived after dark in the rain and could not get in. I sent a text to the same number and received a text informing me that they did not manage this property and I had been given the wrong information and another number. When I called this number it was after hours and I spoke with maintenance. He was wonderful and so helpful. He again said that we had been provided with all incorrect information and was able to provide me with the correct door code. Wish this process had been better

This property is great. I needed a large place for several friends who were in town, and the house delivered. Lots of sleeping capacity, and great areas to hang out and talk. Ambience is very nice. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay, the property is located close to everything. I only have to point out that the dishwasher is not working well and the clothes dryer, but everything else was wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay! Couldn’t beat the proximity to everything we wanted but the “away from it all” feel. The house accommodated our three families perfectly and was comfortable and kid-friendly and clean. It will be even better next month when it gets AC throughout. Beds were as expected for rented vacation homes - so bring padding if you are picky. I’d say the only thing I’d recommend is doing a stock inventory on kitchen items and towels/rags. We found them sufficient but maybe little depleted over the various visits. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us!

Soccer Tournament
Three families stayed here for a soccer tournament. We had plenty of room to accommodate all guests (adults, big kids, and little kids). It was a nice place to come back to after a full day of soccer! Management was quick to respond to questions.

Overall great stay
The property was clean among our arrival. The check in and check out process was very easy. We enjoyed the fact that there was both charcoal and propane grills to utilize. The location is great whether you want to get to Boone or Blowing Rock.

Good views, lots of space and great response from property manager when we had a minor issue we needed taken care of at 7pm on a Friday night.

We started out having issues with trying to figure out how to get into the home. It is listed that the renter can get keys from a rental company in Blowing Rock - not true. The owner has to send you a code & we never received our email with the code. It took me 45 minutes to get in touch with the owner (I called him 15 times, 2 texts, message on Facebook, even called his work trying to find him). Once we received the code & got into the home we LOVED the house. It was huge & plenty of space for our group. The house is listed as having AC, there is no AC. The owner does have a small window unit in the basement. The rest of the house was 80 degrees & no way of cooling it down except ceiling fans. I texted the owner & he was very u pleasant to me & told me I had to text the property manager. (Property manager went above and beyond to help!) we ended up canceling our reservation & going somewhere new because we could not stay in an 80 degree home. The owner is refunding us all of our money though. Long story short, only go to this house during the winter.

Great for family mountain getaway
We didn’t want to go far, so this mountain getaway was perfect and just right up the road from our home in Mooresville. Altogether 3 little families and enough room for us all. It was spacious, clean, cozy, just perfect (after we figured out how to get up the driveway). The kids loved it, my parents loved it, beautiful scenery.

Wonderful Christmas celebration and ski vacation with the family!
The house is in an excellent location and very spacious. It is very close to Appalachian Ski Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. There were many extras such as the pool table, spa and number of televisions which made our stay eventful. The I would recommend this house to anyone. The view of the mountains on the front porch is beautiful!!

New Years Eve stay
Location is great and house worked well for what we needed. The furniture in the main living/dining area needs updating and/or repair. The main room and dining area are not very well lite and could use a couple bright lamps. We had a great stay and enjoyed Blowing Rock.

Christmas Family
Contact with Christian was excellent from the beginning.
We requested a Christmas tree for our arrival and he promptly answered, this was a big surprise for the children.
The house is well located and super wide. However it needs to tidy the access road because even the car with traction had difficulty climbing.
In the outdoor area where there is the firepit need to arrange the place and chairs. The barbecue was dirty and rusty.
Some dishes in the cabinet were dirty and oily, as were some cutlery.
Still we had a great time and family time. The only point that needs to be urgently correct is the lack of water. We stayed 2 hours without water in the house two days.

OK for the bridal party accommodations
I rented this house for housing my daughter's bridal party. The furniture is a bit worn, and overall it could use some touch-ups. My niece indicated it appeared no one had been there in a while, and they had to pick up some trash around the outside, including a pair of boxer shorts. I did not get to thoroughly inspect the house due to limited time getting wedding preparations done, but from what I saw, I was not overly impressed for the daily rental fee. There was an issue with only 5 towels and very few washcloths available for 10 people. We had to send 5 towels and seven washcloths from the other house which I had rented for the rest of the family. They later found most of the towels in the clothes washer, wet. They rewashed them since there's no telling how long they had been there. I had not read any reviews until just before I wrote this one, so cleanliness and linens seems to be a common problem. The driveway needs some grading at the bottom to remove a large depression, and hump from where the gravel has been pushed out. It's a steep driveway and additional obstacles are not a welcome situation. It's best to approach from the ski slope end of the road, because it's a sharp left turn from the other direction. Overall it was fine, but there seems to be a lot of housekeeping issues according to other reviews, as well as our stay.

Could have been better.
The property is great - location is close to everything but tucked away. I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Basically the beds were made and that was it. Trash was left on the porch by the door (we arrived at 11:00pm) so I assumed there was plenty of time for everything to be done before our arrival. The coffee pot upstairs had leftover coffee grounds that were molded, my eighty year old mother in law swept and mopped the floors they were so nasty. Very low stock on washcloths, if you had a bigger party (we had 7) I would recommend taking a few of your own linens. I am not sure if the cabin has air conditioning or if the air was out but getting 5 women ready for a wedding rehearsal on Friday and wedding on Saturday was NOT pleasant for anyone when the air didn't work and fans/windows were all we had going for us. I hate to leave bad reviews and I wouldn't say DO NOT GO, I would just recommend some changes with cleaning especially and letting people know if something is up with the air conditioning.
