The thoughtful touches.
No bath. Needs an outside bath.

Great Bach style accommodation with good, comfortable amenities and a rip roaring shower! Just a few steps away from the iconic Pub where you can get food and a drink if you don't want to cook for yourself. Lots of space, some breakfast goodies left which we didn't expect (thank you :)...) good heating options and lots of peace and quiet to chill out and enjoy being in the middle of nowhere. Nice little TV for the evenings, lots of magazines to flick through, everything we needed.

Thus is a quaint, clean and comfy cottage right in the heart of the village. it is a very short walk to the historic pub where the beer and meals were very good. it has all the facilities for a long stay.
The WiFi signal is weak.

Spacious. Neat vibe
Bed in lounge a little saggy. Not terrible though

Quant, quiet, spacious. Short walk to the pub for a meal
Breakfast options poor. A few slices of toast and some spreads would have been appreciated

It was great to be able to stay in Whangamomona,. The old converted butcher shop has interesting history with its unusual flloor in the bedroom, still signs of its past. a It had everything we needed for our one night stay, and is a good alternative to the hotel down the road, which was very busy that night. everything we needed
Had problems with the TV, but the host was handy and were able to get it working OK with his help :)

It was so homely, clean and relaxing. Everything you needed was available and so well thought out. A fun place to stay. Thank you so much for an enjoyable nights stay.

Happy with our stay. Appreciated the personal touches. Amazing water pressure in the shower!
Didn't like the drinking water. Internet access isn't advertised but did get it from across the road intermittently. Mobile data signal was strong (at least 4G).

This was coolest place we have ever stayed, anywhere. Loved it.

Clean, comfortable, plenty of breakfast foods available and bread and milk appreciated as there are no shops. Loved the lambs who were so playful, and who kept escaping. Very comfortable bed.

One doesn't go to Whangamomona for access to airports or luxury shopping. The purpose is to visit a unique backcountry village and enjoy the charming character of the village and it's inhabitants. The Butcher Shop is perfectly located to allow a stroll to local sites.
The accommodation has two double beds - one in the lounge and one in a separate room. Ideal for two friends, a couple alone or with a child, or two couples
Particularly good shower.
Could be chilly in the winter but a safe space heater and an ample supply of chopped, dry firewood are provided.
No disappointments therefore no comment here.

It's in a remote spot and super quiet ..the cottage had many extras in kitchen that Ceri thoughtfully left ..(as no shops for 80ks.)..so be prepared food wise. We had meals at the pub .. a minutes walk away..and we're great.
Had booked for one night. Stayed for 2.. cottage is super clean and has interesting wee touches!!!
Rained 2nd day after pur walk. So lit the fire and snuggled into the atmosphere of Whanga.
Loved it !!!
Nothing not to like!!!
