Relax and unwind at our Waterfront Broadkill Beach retreat, "The Blue Pearl," directly on the Delaware Bay. Pass through the gate decorated with colorful oars and leave your worries behind. Walk up one flight of stairs to the screened-in porch, which provides unobstructed views of the beach and water’s edge. Here you’ll enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the glorious sunrise. From the porch, walk out onto the expansive deck and the see the sun’s reflection on the Delaware Bay as it rises, saying “Good morning” to Broadkill Beach. Head down a few steps for direct, immediate beach access and start your day with an invigorating run, walk, or bike ride on the sandy beach. Refresh yourself with a swim in the bay or come back to the house to rinse off in the outdoor shower.
The nautical theme continues inside this fully furnished 3 bed, 1.5 bath home (plus outdoor shower). The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with luxury mattresses and pillows for a good night’s sleep. Queen-sized beds are in two bedrooms and a twin-over-full bunk bed is in the third bedroom. Each bed has a protective mattress cover. Please do not mistakenly take this home with you when you remove your bedding. A replacement fee will be requested if removed. Ample closet space and dressers are in each room and ready for your personal belongings. 43 inch Samsung Smart TVs are in the living room and in the master bedroom. The master bedroom also has an attached half bath.
Linens are not provided. Please bring bedding, pillow cases, and towels (indoor and outdoor). Pillows are provided for each bedroom. You'll need your own blankets as well. Specifically: master bedroom: queen set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 4 pillow cases); second bedroom: queen set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 4 pillow cases); bunk room: twin set (top bunk: fitted sheet, flat sheet, 1 pillow case); full set (bottom bunk: fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillow cases). Bring your own beach towels and beach gear.
We will provide laundry detergent, trash bags, smaller trash bags , a clean sponge, dishwasher detergent, kitchen dish soap and hand soap for both bathrooms. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towels are provided.
The kitchen, dining, and living areas are open and bright with two sets of sliding glass doors allowing access to the deck and gorgeous views of the Delaware Bay. Dine inside at the round table, outside on the deck at the 6-person table, or on the couch in the screened in porch. Rest in the living room, which has two plush chairs and a sofa all with direct views of the water. The entertainment center has a 43 inch new Samsung smart TV. High speed wireless internet is included.
Full washer and dryer inside (along with laundry detergent); fully equipped kitchen with all utensils and pots and pans; outdoor gas grill. Please clean the grill after use and empty the drip pan.

Four of us "senior" ladies had an absolutely lovely time. The house was as depicted -- no surprises there; clean; spacious; awesome view of the bay. Spent a lot of time on the deck; quiet beach. Nearby Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Milton Theater provided nice excursions. Looking forward to repeating the experience!

Second time coming back to this property. It is a great house for a family right by the bay. Queit neighborhood with lots of opportunities for adventures located close to Cape Henlopen and Rehoboth.

The house is amazing! Clean, comfortable and right on the beach. The flies were bad a couple of days but it’s so close to attractions and other beaches there’s always something to do. The community is laid back and private, much different than OC or some of the other more popular areas.

This was my family's second stay at the Blue Pearl. We had previously come in April, enjoyed the house, and decided to come back for Thanksgiving. Monica, the owner, continues to be responsive and accommodating. She makes the whole rental process very easy. Our family had a cozy-comfy time together, as well as long walks on the beach - just what we needed! We were able to make all our meals in the well equipped kitchen, and the whole house is clean and tidy. A true home away from home for us!

We stayed at the Blue Pearl for 4 nights at the end of September/beginning of October. Although the weather was not on our side, we still had a wonderful time. The house is just steps over the dunes from the beach, so our favorite feature was that it was so easy to take a quick walk to look for shells with our 4 year old and head back inside when it would start raining again. Both the beach and the street are quiet, and we loved that. Our 4 month old’s pack ‘n play would have fit in any of the bedrooms, and we appreciated that both of the non-master bedrooms had armchairs to sit in while feeding him or getting him to sleep. The open concept living room/kitchen area was also a plus; our 4 year old had plenty of space to play while it was raining. We didn’t cook any major meals by choice but the kitchen had what we needed to heat leftovers or make simple breakfasts. Our only regret is that we couldn’t utilize the screened porch or deck more because of the weather - will have to save that for next time!

This was my second time staying here, and I can't recommend it enough. The house itself is well cared for, clean, comfortable, and easily fit three adults and three kids. The best part of course is the location- you can sit on the large deck and watch the ocean, or you can walk 50 feet over the dunes and right onto the beach. Broadkill is a nice wide beach, and is sparsely populated.

We truly enjoyed this beach house. It was exactly as advertised and CLEAN. Furniture was comfortable and everything we needed in a kitchen to make most of our meals at the house. The deck was perfect with a wonderful view. Literally steps over the dune to walk the beach. Lovely neighborhood and quiet. A/C that worked perfectly. Owner was responsive and a pleasure to work with. We lucked out with amazing weather but even if we hadn't, it would not have mattered. We will be back again!

This is a beautiful home in a secluded section of the Delaware Bay. It has an amazing view of the bay with a private beach area. We had everything we needed in the house. Our host, Monica, was very communicative and on top of everything. The location is close to the southern beaches but far enough away to escape the traffic.

The Blue Pearl was a great stay for our family of four. Being on the southern tip of broadkill gave us a secluded feel with an easy beach access. The house was clean and well kept. We loved eating breakfast out on the deck each morning with a beautiful view of the bay. We hope to escape back to this wonderful home on future vacations

The house was as advertised. Super clean and cozy. Short walk to the beach. If you didn't know it was the Bay you'd think you were at the ocean. Hardly any visitors in mid July. We brought all our own beach gear and with small children, would highly recommend a carrying wagon. 20 min drive to Rehoboth and Lewes beaches. On one beach break day, we went to Children's Museum in Lewes and then rented surrey bikes in Rehoboth, which the kids loved. Lewes and Rehoboth beaches were literally packed so glad we essentially had our own private beach. General store at the beginning of the entry road has your basic supplies/groceries and the nearest Food Lion is 15-20 minute drive. Great trip. Only issue were sand flies but were only irritating when the wind stopped.

This is our second time staying at this cute beach house! It’s the perfect size for our family of 4 +grandma. We are familiar with the area and love the remoteness & peacefulness of Broadkill beach while being close enough to Lewes/Rehoboth. The beach was great for shore fishing, shallow swimming in the bay with the kids and finding small sea creatures especially by the jetty. The house itself had a few upgrades since we were there last, everything is super clean and owner is very nice. Will be back!

This was our second time here for a quiet, relaxing time with family and friends. Having the beach close by is a plus. Some of the nearby activities include restaurants, farm stands, winery, lavender shop, yoga on the beach, massages, sightseeing, other beaches, and of course, fishing. We will go back again.

My family has stayed at a variety of houses in Broadkill Beach over the years, and this was the first house that took our breath away! The view from the living room/kitchen is the best - we watched the waves and the clouds and the sun and the thunderstorm. The house had everything we needed to cook meals, it was clean and exactly as described. Monica was proactive and responsive when communicating with us - I felt very prepared going to her property. We plan to return for another long weekend - it was just what our family needed!

Perfect beach cottage right on the Bay. The view is fantastic! Love the light on the water at sunset and the twinkling lights of Lewes at night. This is our second time renting and this year, we were treated to a full moon rising over the Bay. Spectacular! Everything about this rental is exactly as advertised. The owner is great, very easy to deal with and very understanding. :)

Best part of this house was the 2 decks overlooking and listening to the ocean. Quiet street (went in the off-season) and just 15 mins to anything you need or want. Check in was easy and house was clean. We did a guided kayak tour on Broadkill River and walked the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. Perfect weekend getaway!

We loved our time at the Blue pearl! Being just steps from the beach with little ones in tow was such a nice perk. My husband and I could stay at the beach while our kids napped and toting all the things you need with kids on the beach wasn't so bad when the house is right there. We also had the beach to ourselves as far as the eye could see everyday we were there! The waves were the perfect size for our kids to play in and the sand was incredibly soft. The house had everything we needed and fit our family perfectly. Broadkill beach seems like the best kept secret and we can't wait to go back!

The Blue pearl is an excellent place to stay for young families. The waves are small and the beach was nearly always empty since you are on a private community beach. Our kids could play without the fear of a large wave taking them under. The beach house has an outdoor shower with hot and cold water which was SO helpful when washing the little ones. Sunrises are beautiful and the beach house had all of the essentials. We will definitely recommend and be returning!

Lovely Beach house
My family of 4 had a wonderful stay here for the second time. The house was perfect for us in size and location, we loved being able to step right out to the beach. The house had everything we needed to stay in and cook but it is also so convenient to many restaurants and activities for the kids. It was a great stay for all of us.

Best relaxing vacation
Location is perfect. It is a quiet area with not much car traffic. Broadkill Store nearby had the nicest people and we could get bait closeby. My husband fished right outside the door and at the nearby jetty (suggested by Monica) almost every day.
House was described well and very clean. There are ceiling fans in the living room and all the bedrooms which were quiet so we used them often since we did not need the AC all the time.
Kitchen was well stocked, the only things I missed was a glass measuring cup and a flat griddle to make grilled cheese and pancakes. But we made due. I tend to do a lot of baking and cooking on vacation.
My favorite thing: the enclosed porch had a new comfortable couch which allowed us to be outside in the shade in the mornings while listening to the waves.
Monica responded quickly when we had trouble with the TV remote the first night. She even emailed me when she could not get me by text (I ran out of texting minutes).
Food Lion in Milton had everything we needed but my favorite place for fresh fruit, veggies, and baked goods was Fresh Connection, a farm stand at 9598 Coastal Highway, Milford.
This is the first time we vacationed in Delaware. We will be back and we will stay at Monica'a house again.

The dream - peaceful, beautiful, quiet, clean
When we first booked this vacation, we were excited to be somewhere quiet and beautiful. We wanted to be somewhere where we could rest as a family and just BE together. This beach house was the perfect place for us. It was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. The owners just installed new floors and put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. You can tell this is their home and that they try to take good care of it. The super short jump over the small dunes to the beach made it so much more accessible for us to carry our physically disabled daughter. And the views from the windows in the family room and kitchen were just breathtaking. But what really made this rental a memorable one was Monica. She was not just responsive and easy to communicate with. Her kindness and hospitality made this stay an especially memorable one. I will never forget the way she worked so hard to make exhuasted special needs family feel supported and welcomed at her beach house. Thank you, Pearls, for a vacation that rested our bodies and fed our spirits.

Quiet location
This beach cottage could not be more perfectly located. It is directly on the beach in a quiet location making it a breeze to take our children for walks and down to play on the beach. With young children, getting to the actual beach can be an expedition, but this was a short :30 walk.
The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. Monica was incredibly responsive by text. We had a great time!

We were very pleased with our stay at this property. The interior is kept up well. The exterior looks like it was just redone - looks great. But mostly important are the beach views and access. Tough to find smaller beachfront properties and this one fit the bill!

Relaxing Retirement Celebration Weekend
My family rented Monica's lovely (and DIRECTLY on the beach) home to celebrate our dad's retirement. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend filled with long walks on the quiet shoreline, lots of seashell collecting, and delicious seafood from town nearby.
Monica was super communicative and even offered to have us check-in early since the home was available! It was the perfect size for our group of 6. The two deck spaces (screened-in and exposed) were where we spent most of our time. And the kitchen had more than just the "essentials" which was great for us since we love to cook.
