Summer is the season for Frisco, CO, daytime events. Without its own ski hill, Frisco’s planners take advantage of the warmer months, and that includes everything there is to do on Lake Dillon from renting a kayak or pontoon boat to paddling upright to disembark onto one of the reservoirs’ many islands. This level of activity can work up an appetite. While most people think of Memphis, Kansas City or just about anywhere in Texas when it comes to good barbeque, here in the Centennial State, Frisco was the location of the first official BBQ Challenge in 1993, featuring judges from and trained by the official Kansas City Barbeque Society. As a Frisco, CO, daytime event, it’s held annually in June and features more than 70 cooks competing in categories for pork, rib, chicken, side dish and more. Hogbacks, the official event currency, are available onsite and sometimes come as part of a Frisco, CO, hotel deal. And if “music be the food of love,” then the summer concert series each Thursday from June to September can be incredibly tasty as a Frisco, CO, daytime event. Like so many celebrations in Frisco, this music series’ refreshment sales benefit a different local nonprofit each week.

Sundown mostly brings on quiet when it comes to Frisco, CO, nightlife. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and be rowdy, but this town is not Times Square in New York City, and most locals and guests like it that way. Frisco, CO, nightlife begins at town center at The Barkley Ballroom, a live music and dancing venue that accommodates up to 500 revelers, five nights weekly. Wednesdays are reserved for bluegrass, a musical style dear to Summit County, but the Barkley hosts jam bands and blues artists with DJs filling the dance floor on other nights. Many of the restaurants and brewpubs along Main Street also feature live music. True brew fans will want to sign up for a Summit County brewery tours, which hits six locations throughout the area with your fearless leader as the advanced designated driver. The July 4th holiday brings out the best in all the local mountain towns, but barring drought, Dillon and Frisco will often hold a combined fireworks’ display over the reservoir. Mountains? Colored light reflections over the water? Boom. Happy hours are popular in advance of Frisco, CO, nightlife, especially after a day on the water at Lake Dillon. In summer, the the local grill fires up some tasty specials and frozen drinks to cool things off as day turns to night. In winter, it’s all about getting in front of a fireplace at a bar on Main Street.

Terrific property and the location is well-placed to enjoy the small town life of the area. Short drives on the I-70 placed us at each of the locations we wanted to visit during our stay albeit we were blessed with clear roads and sunny days during the majority of our trip. Condo was generally clean, and amenities were more than satisfactory for our needs. Available cooking equipment made saving money by cooking "at home" a joy! Great overall experience and will definitely stay here again on our next trip! Mahalo!

A very well-equipped, comfortable and clean condo. Underground parking was a plus given the winter season. Convenient to many Summit County ski areas.

The location was just as ordered, close to Vail, Breck and Keystone. There were plentiful clean hot tubs and sauna for after skiing. We are in all nights with the kitchen, but didn’t have to with Frisco Main Street less that 6 blocks away. Two things we did have were covered parking and a grill, which made the stay even better. I did have a question that was answered by hosts per their office hours. Fun place,

Good: Location and access to hot tubs in Lodge Bad: wrappers and trash under couch and beds, foam on beds were hard, 3 of 4 washers in lodge were broke down the whole week, def very dated as compared to other units in complex, very poorly lighted if you have any vision deficits.

Property management was great when notified about the property, but the property itself was ok-poor! Probably would not rent that unit again for that price

We saw a moose in the brush from the balcony! Just amazing. Gorgeous view, great property--great pool, hot tubs, clubhouse. Kids loved the stream running through open area out back. That said, this condo was comfy but needs some updating. Furniture is unraveling a bit, carpet & maybe bathroom could use an update. Had the hardest time getting fitted sheet & mattress pad to stay on downstairs bed. We loved the board games and movies provided and were grateful for a well-supplied kitchen. Fun to be able to walk to Frisco Main Street. We had a great week.
