We had a wonderful experience at this home. It is just as described in pictures: cute, clean and filled with extra perks for traveling with kids (toys, books, pack and play, baby gate). Jennifer was a very kind and accommodating host. Everyone in my family loved it and we would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this very, clean, very child friendly house. We were travelling with a 1 yr old. The house had a Pack-N-Play, highchair and even baby toys. There are also toys and books for older children. Host contracted us before stay and checked in during our stay.

Rental is accurately portrayed in listing. Quiet neighborhood. Inside is nicely decorated. Hostess was very responsive to any question we had. We would stay here again.

Jennifer’s home is very nicely renovated and has everything that a family needs for a pleasant stay in Royal Oak. Basement laundry, well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, nice yard, comfortable furniture. Jennifer made it very easy to check in and the check out/prep for leaving on our last day was simple, easy and straightforward. The house is in a nice residential location and a short drive to downtown Royal Oak. About an 8 minute drive to the Detroit Zoo. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend. We will be back!

This was a lovely house just perfect for a few days. We had 5 adults stay in the house with a dog for one night - the place has 3 bedrooms - one upstairs (the main suite with the bathroom, large closet and TV) and 2 downstairs. Awesome fenced-in backyard (which the dogs loved) and we ate outside almost all of the time.
Super stocked kitchen (not just a pan and a can opener, but literally everything you could need) and a Smart TV hooked up for Netflix, AppleTV, etc. We cooked many of our meals, which was very simple due to Kroger a 5 min drive away (if that). Easy highway access (although if you're going in the next few years, I-75 has a TON of construction, so your on-ramp may be different than expected) and room for two cars in the driveway.
I was most impressed with our host, Jennifer. She was responsive, proactive, and just fabulous. The week before we came, the area had a power outage due to a substation going down and she reached out before we arrived, and was super reasonable and kept us updated the whole way through! When we got there, we knew we would have power (and if we didn't, she even offered another one of her properties as a back-up). I will definitely use this house and Jennifer again if we have to rent when we come visit family.

Description was accurate. Neighborhood very nice. The owner is a very sweet girl that communicates great! Plus there were a lot of little gems that this house had that no other has provided. Extra tooth brushes and tooth paste. Snacks and more. Worth the price for sure. I have family that lives in Detroit and the few times that I do get to visit I have a new favorite place to stay!

We were in town for our first family reunion since Fall, 2019. The house checked every box for us and the added PLUS was it was 2 short blocks from some of the family! The park at the end of our street was perfect for the children to play with their cousins and it was a short walk for everyone. The location in general was a very short drive to almost any grocery store, specialty shop, big box store, the Detroit Zoo, Greenfield Village, restaurants, downtown, all major freeways and about 35 minutes to DTW! The house was spotless and had updated baths and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and had soft sheets and plenty of pillows, towels and extra blankets. About the only suggestion I have is some smaller size kid friendly cups, plates, bowls- our 5 and 3 year olds did OK with those there, but a set of some unbreakable smaller sized items would make a GREAT kitchen addition! Any contact questions with Jennifer, before and during our stay, were answered promptly and this made the experience easy and pleasant. We'll definitely look at this property for future trips to the area!

Beautiful house and thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed the large upstairs bedroom with the master bath and our dogs enjoyed the backyard. (We put up a dog gate across the driveway.) Jennifer deserves the title of "premier host" - she was available and responsive but left us alone to enjoy the house as though it were our own. We loved walking the dogs downtown, but what we probably liked the most was the friendly and welcoming neighborhood.

We rented this property 2 months in advance for Labor Day weekend and paid in full. We received confirmation of our reservation, and we received an email a week prior to the check in date with the lockbox code. However when we arrived at 9 pm after driving all day, we found someone else already staying in the house! They said they had also rented the house for the weekend! We contacted the owner, who said she had no idea how this happened. We were in a very bad situation at that point - it was late, we were exhausted, and we had nowhere to go. The owner said she has several other properties but all were booked, so after texting back and forth for about 30 minutes, the best she could do was suggest that we go to a hotel - but we had to make our own reservation and pay for the rooms. She refunded our money for the house and cancelled the vrbo reservation. Then she sent us a listing for a run-down looking house in a neighboring town and suggested that we rent that instead - it was not in a good neighborhood and it was not even remotely acceptable. We ended up staying in a nice but very expensive hotel for 2 nights and left a day early to go home since our plans were basically ruined.

The property is just as lovely as in the pictures. Huge bed up in the master. Although the master doesn't have a door separating it from the staircase/downstairs, it still feels very private. We traveled with three young kids and it was perfect. Close to downtown royal oak and Detroit and right down the street from a playground! Backyard is a great size too

Our recent 2-night stay suited our needs perfectly; there was plenty of room for everybody, the house was clean and comfortable. Moreover, the host was pleasant and very responsive whenever we needed anything. We would definitely stay there again next time we're in the area.

Great property. Great location. Dog friendly was very helpful. Check in process was a little challenging but we solved that problem really quickly. I would recommend this place and be happy to stay here the next time I plan on being i the Detroit area.
