The house was in a great location. Ocean walk just across the street , very convenient . Sound view beautiful. Serene. Sound access ok.
One improvement, needs better cooking utencils, turners, spatulas, spoons flimsy and difficult to work with. All otherwise, kitchen well equipped. Will definitely considering anther stay.

Our family had a wonderful vacation! The house was in a perfect location. The heated outdoor shower, beach chairs, paddle board and kayaks were put to good use! The easy walk to the beach made for several great days of shelling. We will definitely be back!

What a great vacation! The house was perfect - the location was terrific. There were only five of us, so we had lots of extra space. Everything was clean (didn’t see one bug or insect inside all week), and well equipped. We kayaked several times (super easy access out back) and spent many hours at the beach…a very easy walk. Views and sunset every night were amazing. Keith was super easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Great house, and pictures don’t do the place justice . The views are breathtaking including unobstructed view of sunset . Great bedroom/bathroom setup for our two sets of parents with small kids and grandparents . Kitchen had everything including spices . Access to the calm bay and the ocean
With nice uncrowded beach was awesome. I don’t have anything negative to say. If I lived closer I’d be back at least twice a year.

This was our first trip to the Outerbanks and we loved it. The house was very spacious, clean and well stocked for our week there. It had beautiful views of the sound, and across the street was another row of houses and the ocean—an easy walk. The town is nice and laid back and it’s a quick drive to Buxton or Hatteras. The highlight for us was the surf fishing at Hatteras Point (you have to walk to the beach unless you have an ORV pass to drive on the beach). We also rented a boat one day on the sound in Rodanthe, and a Jeep Wrangler one day in Kill Devil Hills. We drove up to Corolla and Carova to see the wild horses and drive on the ORV beaches up there which was a fun experience. We kept it for the night to drive out to the point and fish on our last night which was well worth it. Everyone was catching fish on every cast it seemed and the sunsets were spectacular. The owner was wonderful and very responsive via text. We would definitely rent here again!

This is an awesome house in an amazing location. The house itself is well laid out, has tons of room for lots of people to gather but also spread out. The bedrooms are large and all have adjoining bathrooms.
We came here on a last min trip to the Outer Banks with our two kids. The kids loved the bunk room and the space to run around. The outdoor shower is truly amazing. We kayaked on the sound directly from the house. We spent every evening on the back deck enjoying the sunset. Almost every day we made the short trek to one of the lovelist beaches in the US we have ever been to. The sand and water are super clean, not too many people.
Keith, the owner, was super responsive and helpful. We are hoping to return again!

Went with my adult children & grands . Was a great location & wonderful experience for our grands who loved being in the sound in the am looking for fish. In the evening you definitely need bug spray if your staying near the house. But other than that great property, with beautiful views . Frisco is a great location very quiet but beautiful beach and accessible to the sound & beach . House is very comfortable and never felt crowded . We loved it ❤️

Great home for family get together
This rental was everything we hoped it would be, and our family had an excellent time! We enjoyed kayaking on the sound, visited the beach just across the street every day, and ate more fresh seafood than I thought possible during our 2-week stay. The host was responsive to our panicky call at check-in wondering why the lockbox wouldn't open. It was late at night, dark, and it turns out we were at the wrong house! The kitchen was well supplied for family meals. All in all, a great experience in the Outer Banks.

Loved it - Great place!
We loved staying here - the house is very large and great for big groups. The kitchen is large and well stocked. And Keith is super responsive if you have any questions.
We loved the views from the living room
windows and watching the peaceful sunsets from the deck. There is a quiet work desk nook with views of the beach for catching up on emails. The outdoor shower is great!
You can also kayak on the sound behind the house and watch the sunset! We walked to the beach across the street every day and it was beautiful and very private.
Highly recommended for a peaceful beach vacation with family and friends!

Book It!
Our family of 4 adults and 2 children just spent the last week staying in this very welcoming home. The VRBO photos fairly reflected this property, and previous guest comments helped us to prepare for a successful stay.
We arrived in the area about 1 hour early because of favorable traffic conditions. Although we knew that we could not access the property until 5:00pm, we took a chance to contact the owner to see if we could arrive about 30 minutes early after getting our groceries. The owner promptly returned our text message and kindly allowed us to unload our groceries at 4:30 while he finished some work outdoors. When we arrived, he gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with an overview of the property and recommendations for making the most of our stay at his home.
The house had a nice “feel” to it, and you could tell that it was built with attention to detail. It was a great family home, with lots of stunning Sound views, and open-plan space, a big kitchen (well-equipped) and plenty of bedrooms for sleeping space. Kids and adults all enjoyed the rooms. We could also imagine that it would be a great gathering space for 4 adult couples, comfortably. The outdoor shower was a big plus - especially for 2 small sandy kids after a day at the beach. We’ve experienced some really bad outdoor showers in previous beach rentals - this one was great; a changing area, lots of room for showering and lots of hooks for clothes/towels/wet swim gear. The kids thought it was a hoot! Adults loved it because it kept the sand out of the house.
The property offered many props for outdoor adventures, including kayaks, paddle board, life jackets, and beach toys. Because the Sound was only steps away, we were able to introduce our 7-year-old grandson to the joys of kayaking and hunting for oysters and crabs in the Sound. Access to the ocean was convenient, and the beach was clean and uncrowded.
There was a large screened porch on the house’s main level which had a nice large picnic table; we did not use it. It would be perfect for group dinners (think clam bake/crab boil) with adults and teenagers; it didn’t work for little kids because of the bench size.
Overall, it was a great place to create memories. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a get-away-from-it all vacation.

sound front property
Overall worked well for our two families. - we loved the roominess of the whole property. incredible incredible view of the sound but would have loved to have a pier. Close enough to the beach. they need to fix their trash situation - they did not take our trash on our trash day we had no where to put trash - i suggest getting more trashcans. Beds and sheets could use an upgrade. Furniture was so comfortable - everyone loved it and wanted to take it home with them!

Perfection for Our Family
This impeccably clean treasure welcomed our family of nine with elegant arms. We are six adults, one teen and 8 and 10 year olds. The bedrooms with Jack & Jill baths, king beds and two bunk beds were perfect.
The views front and back were sublime. The "toys" of kayaks, paddle boards were #1 with both adults and kids on the Sound.
Love this place.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the location and the amenities of this house. Great for fishing from kayaks on the sound and a quick walk across the street to the beach (bring a beach wagon to haul your stuff and someone strong to carry it up and down the stairs over the dunes). Close proximity to drive to 4x4 beaches or the Ocracoke ferry, we just left the tires of our truck aired down all week. Beautiful sunsets on the upper deck, and when it rains you can sit on the lower deck. Pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the outdoor shower, very strong water pressure, I didn't take a shower inside the entire week. When you are sitting in the living room you feel like you are on a ship looking out over the water. Kitchen is huge and has everything you need, bring your spices because some had run out. Comfy beds and blackout shades, only one bathroom has a tub for bathing little ones FYI.One thing to keep in mind is that in the photos it appears there is a sandy beach behind the house on the sound which I thought would be a great place for our babies to play in the calm water. However that sandy beach was not available for us to use. There is a dedicated sound front area for this house to launch the kayaks or SUP but it is not sandy. This was our first trip to Frisco and the southern part of the outer banks and we will not go anywhere else in the OBX again! Love this area, much more remote and sometimes when walking on the beach you will feel like you are on a private island with no one else around. Very peaceful and relaxing!

Our stay was just what we needed during this pandemic. The home was exactly as described, with breathtaking views of the Sound and a very quick walk to the ocean side. It's perfect for families with children, with plenty of places to congregate and also areas to peel off and enjoy some alone time. Keith was so incredibly responsive and helpful. He offered to help us navigate the process of getting a beach fire permit (which turns out to be extremely easy, by the way), and never failed to answer our questions and concerns. His advice on the evacuation process for the tropical storm that was approaching at the tail end of our trip was also very helpful. We would definitely recommend trip insurance if you are traveling during hurricane season. Even though we didn't have to exercise it, we were comforted knowing that we had it (and came very close to having to use it!).We would highly recommend staying here and would love to return at some point in the not-so-distant future.

A family week at OBX Frisco
Our family group of twelve including grandparents, aunts, uncles and grandkids spent a great week at this property. It is so spacious and comfortable with the open kitchen/dining room/family room. The bedrooms are spacious and each has an adjoining bathroom. Our days were spent at the beach which is an easy walk. We did bring a beach wagon along. The outdoor shower is a great feature.

Gorgeous views!
My best friends and I stayed here while celebrating our 50th birthdays. It was such a peaceful and beautiful area. Although we didn't take advantage of the sound side, other than to watch the breath-taking sunsets and windsurfers, we walked to the ocean-side beach every day. We had such a relaxing time. The house had everything we needed and was absolutely beautiful. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly. We took advantage of the many souvenir shops around and local restaurants. We even took the ferry to Ocracoke. The beaches are absolutely gorgeous. We could not have asked for a more relaxing vacation!

Absolutely lovely, and stunning views! Definitely this one!
We had the best week, and this house was a huge part of that. So close to the beach, and the sound right in the backyard- it does not get any better than that! House is spacious, and well laid out. Outside shower was a god send with all the sand, and the clotheslines on the middle deck for sandy beach towels and swim suits were perfect. King beds were all super comfortable, but do not know about the bunk beds, as we did not use those. Sure those are the same quality as the rest of the house though, which is very nice. Owner always responded to our questions immediately, and was most helpful. I would recommend stopping for groceries at Connor's in Buxton or Food Lion in Avon on the way to the house. The smaller closer grocery stores have stuff, but being smaller, the variety is going to be limited. They were great for swinging by to get the items we forgot, and the ice cream cake we got for our son's 10th Birthday. We are definitely coming back to this house in the future, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else while on the Outer Banks! Thanks for sharing your amazingly lovely house with us for the week!

House was very clean with large open area and bedrooms. View of the sound was great but the area to get into the water was not the best - can't really say there is a beach there. (ocean side is about a 5 min walk to beach) Can get in but have to walk thru a marshy kind of area. Owner was very easy to work with and responded to any inquiries quickly.

Fantastic house!
Rented the house for a week with friends and family and couldn't be happier. Access to the sound is perfect for those doing water sports-- 2 kayaks and a SUP were provided. I went kite boarding most days either right in front on the flat sound water or across the street in the ocean. Coming back and having access to the hot outdoor enclosed shower was amazing. In fact, it was so nice I didn't even use the indoor shower the whole trip.
The kitchen was fully equipped and easy for us to cook for a full house. There is a grill outside that we used most days. Even caught some crabs out of the sound with the trap Keith has under the outdoor stairs.
Keith was very responsive to our needs and gave us great recommendations. The house has an informative binder providing local info, including how to get a beach driving permit which was a ton of fun.
Can't wait to go back!

Perfect Week in Paradise
Everything was spectacular! We had a wonderful time. In fact, we've been kicking around the idea of taking the kids to Disney, but we asked them what they thought and they said they'd much rather come back here! Music to our ears...the house was perfect, the beach was practically private, and the sound provided plenty of entertainment. We kayaked, set the crab trap, fished, and watched some stunning sunsets. Oh, and we all loved the Quarterdeck! Thank you for the recommendation. Perfect week!

Best on this stretch of soundside
We come to this particular area of Frisco each year and this is the newest and best appointed house we have stayed. The reason we keep coming back to this stretch is that ocean beach is just some 700 ft away on the other side. MaMaHooHoo is as you would expect a house which is only a few years old when everything is new and still works good. Linens are good quality and included. Kitchen is well stocked with pans/pots, spices, oils so cooking was easy. Access to sound is good for kiteboarding or just kayaking around with both kayaks which came with the house. Crab pod was a nice surprise and provided two breakfasts for us.

Amazing place
Excellent location for those that want to get away from the over crowded beach areas. House was very clean and spacious. Everything we wanted to cook with was available in the kitchen. Two kayaks were fun to cruise around in on the sound. We LOVED the hot outdoor shower! Very short and easy walk to the beach. We spent mornings and afternoons there with nice break in between at house to relax. We also returned to hunt for crabs and walk along the beach in the evenings. Sunset off the back deck was gorgeous. Great waves to body surf at this beach. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

The Best of Both Worlds
The house and surroundings were even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures. There was a view from every window of the ocean or the sound. We enjoyed kayaking in the sound- it was perfect for beginners since the water is very shallow and clear. We used the crab cage to catch dinner one night. A handicapped-accessible beach entrance, complete with warm showers, was a short walk up the road and very family-friendly. Beach toys and boogies boards made it fun to play and surf the waves. The ocean was very warm even though it was early June. The house was very clean, pretty and well-organized, and everything was comfortably set up for a large family stay. A writer's roost at the top of the house with desk, chair and windows was an added bonus. Being right next to the sound means you should bring bug spray for mosquitoes in the evening. We enjoyed taking the free car ferry to Ocracoke and exploring Hatteras shops as well. Avoid the small grocery stores - stick to the Food Lion for a much better price and selection. A visit to the Orange Blossom is a must- try the "Apple Ugly", their famous fresh baked apple fritters the size of your head. The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum was also a fun place to explore. This was one of the most well-maintained and well-thought out vacation houses we've ever rented.

Great vacationw
I thoroughly enjoy coming to this location. The house is clean, comfortable and beautiful. The beds are comfortable and house is very well kept. I highly recommend this location for family vacations. The beach is very close by, just a short trip across the street. The sound is right out the back door. The sound is a great place to allow the kids to safely play in the water and enjoy all kinds of water activities.
The house is located to all that you may need. Restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, and shopping.

Perfect house -- Perfect location -- Gorgeous view!
Location, location, location -- it was fantastic! We were not familiar with the Outer Banks -- once we spent a few days there, we realized what a fantastic location this is to be right on the Sound and just a short walk to the non-crowded beach. The house is the best we've ever stayed in. It's clean and well maintained -- all of it -- kitchen, bathrooms, carpeting, furniture. It's bright and open, just like the pictures. Loved the large, well stocked kitchen. Keith leaves good instructions and has the many light switches labeled. The outside shower (so clean -- not one spider or bug) and foot washes were perfect when coming back from the beach or the Sound. But the best part was the gorgeous view of the Pamlico Sound! We always seemed to sit in front of the windows, looking at the Sound when eating a quick breakfast, reading, or playing games. Also loved having kayaks that we could easily put in the water and head out on the Sound. Made the rookie mistake of waving to my daughter on shore and tipped it over.....in went my husband and our binoculars too. Sure made for some great laughs. We created many memories at this house. Our 3 teenage daughters want to go back again next year to this same house.

Just got back from a weeklong stay with my husband, our two young children, and another couple with a baby. We had a wonderful time, the house is immaculate, and well laid out, with plenty of room. A very well thought out rental with all switches labeled and everything in it's place. The kitchen is stocked with every dish or cooking item/tool you could need, which was nice to have the option to stay in with the kids. The only thing I would recommend is to bring the bug spray the Mosquitos were absolutely brutal. No real beach access to the bay that the house sits on but we easily launched the kayaks that are available and had a great time.
