Waldport, Oregon is located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on the Oregon Coast. It is situated on the Alsea Bay which is known along the West Coast for their excellent crabbing. Stop by the local marina to rent a boat and crab rings to go crabbing in the historic bay. Walk along Main Street where you can find local stores of antiques, books, and restaurants including Grand Central Pizza, Fresh Family Mexican Restaurant (our favorite), China Restaurant, Subway, and Alsea Bay Crab Co. Grab groceries from Ray's grocery store or at the Bayshore convenience store. Waldport has a fun 9-hole golf course that welcomes all levels of play.
Nearby Yachats (10 minute drive) boasts Luna Sea Fish House (another favorite), Yachats Brewing, and Adobe Restaurant and Lounge (known for their brunch buffets). For fun nearby activities, you can wander to Newport to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium, South Beach State Park, Ripley's Believe or Not Museum, or the Hatfield Science Visitor Center. Tours for deep sea fishing can be booked in Newport. More challenging golf can be found in Lincoln City and Florence (about an hour drive to each). If you are seeking world renowned golf then Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is only a two hour drive South. We are convinced that you will enjoy all that Waldport, Oregon has to offer!

Really nice spot. Has everything you need, great central coast location and an amazing beach. Walk over the dunes and you are on the beach. Lots of room to roam. I had my spouse and 3 little kids, a perfect spot to explore the coast, Aquarium, etc... We will be back.

We celebrated my brother’s 40th as a family and this house was perfect! We had seven adults and one child and there was plenty of room for everyone. We all had our own space but also still felt connected. It was extremely easy to communicate with the host and they were available whenever we had a question. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. We will be back!

The house is beautiful and updated. The beds are super comfy, as is the rest of the house. The main living area is large for everyone to spread out and there is enough room between the 3 stories to feel spacious and luxurious. The views of the bay are spectacular and the view of the ocean from upstairs is stunning.

Had a great time; very nice property. Ocean view was only accessible from the top floor (not the master bedroom floor), which is the primary reason we booked this property, so that was a little disappointing.

This house is a special one situated on the ocean side of the peninsula. Our teen boys loved the pool table and the big upstairs bedroom with bunks. The house has been thoughtfully remodeled with a beautiful kitchen and master bath. I can be picky about beds, sheets, and pillows and this house didn’t disappoint. The neighborhood is very quiet yet nicely situated not far from town. We were all pleased that it had good WiFi. We look forward to returning.

Communication to and from the host is absolutely amazing everything is very straight forward and ahead of schedule made checking in a breeze the house is beautiful beach side and quiet neightborhood interior of the home is nice and tasteful and quite clean would stay again for sure!! Thank you!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Waldport. The property was very clean, warm and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, and The location can’t be beat. There are so many attractions and wonderful restaurants. "Everything about the stay was flawless. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and the location is better than what is in the listing description. “It was exactly as described in the listing. The owner has provided everything we could possibly require”! My family thanks your family for a perfect family time and stay!

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is bright and airy and had enough space for our party of 8 and 2 dogs to feel comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked, we managed a full thanksgiving dinner with what was available. Beach Access was very close 1min out the backdoor, but a little bit of a rough trail for the older generation. Has 2 balconies and a huge deck to hangout on. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset from the 3 floor bedroom balcony. Tons of towels and bedding and everything you would need including a washer and dryer. We had a great family holiday and would definitely come back again.

The house was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom vanity, and on the bed sheets. There were even large, yellow/brown stains on several of the beds (as is someone wet the bed). We called the host when we found the stains the first night, but had to wash the sheets ourselves in order to sleep that night. She had new sheets dropped at the front door the next day without packaging. By the time we got back the sheets were covered in dirt because of the wind. We ended up doing laundry all weekend just to be able to sleep on the beds. The house was also not in the condition shown in the photos. The wood stove chimney was removed, leaving a big hole in the wall. The path to the beach advertised was completely overgrown and difficult to walk through.
When we complained, the host refunded only half the cleaning fee. The house was not worth the price or the hassle. I never leave negative reviews — this experience was so horrible, it doesn’t seem right not to let others know about it.

Great home my wife fell due to the bad hand rail going down the back porch stairs. It is in need of repair. No blinds in the living room area. No privacy neighbors could watch us constantly.

Large, open house for our family reunion. Lots of beds for all and very comfortable. Pool table was a huge success. The close beach access was wonderful and nearly had the beach to ourselves. A few upkeep items would help. Necessary water hose for beach clean up was split spraying water everywhere. Front door light has a bird nest full of birds which created a terrible mess to greet you. My family loved their stay and want to return.

The house was very nice, but I was disappointed that I really could not see the Ocean; other houses I have stayed in within this community had great views of the Surf and a much better path to get there. Other than that, it was all good!

We gathered here on an extended family vacation. The beds allowed several families to stay and they were very comfortable. The ocean is a short walk away but the dune is a bit steep and the grass was very long—the little kids had to be carried. Kitchen is well stocked and we loved the big dining room table. With two sets of stairs, bring baby gates if you have little ones. Overall an enjoyable stay.

What we really liked about this location is the private access to the beach. One of the most quiet locations we have had to date where the beach is not crowded and your own private trail. The home is a bit dated with no air-conditioning. Overall would recommend.

The home provided a lot of rooms, beds and separation of space. It had convenient access to the beach and plenty of parking. We were visiting with our sons basketball team and there was plenty of room for dinner guests. The property overall was a good value. Beds were comfy. Could have been cleaner but the owners were responsive to our feedback.

We had a group of 7 plus two dogs stay here arriving on the coldest day of the year. We arrived to a very cold house and couldn’t get the downstairs wall heaters to work. Next we went to the fireplace that was listed as an amenity and shown in pictures and it did not work. I contacted the property manager who said that it takes some time for the place to warm up and that the fireplace was just a decoration even though it is plumbed with gas and electrical. We were all so cold we went out for dinner and found the house still wasn’t warm a couple hours later. I contacted the manager again and got no response until my 3rd attempted late the next morning where I was asked to send pictures of the broken heaters. A maintenance guy finally showed up and found the two downstairs units to be broken and he left a space heater. The general structure of the home inside and out is in disrepair. It is a very nice space where the owner really needs to reinvest for it to be worth what is charged. But we still had a good time even if we had to wear our puffy jackets indoors the first day.

This house was perfect for all of my family who came together and enjoyed the company and beautiful beach. The house was fully supplied from kitchen accessories to towels, beds , and entertainment. The pool table was a big hit also the big tub to relax the only thing was the jets didn't work but the soak was great. Nice location and the beach access was a hop skip and a jump away. We all loved it . We will rent again for next reunion.

Great house for large gathering!
This was a great house for all of us. While it is near the beach, there is a large sand dune between the house and ocean, which we were aware of. You can’t see the ocean from the house. The beach, which was gorgeous, was only a short walk from the house. We enjoyed quite a bit of time on the beach. The location was great and close to most places we wanted to visit on this trip. The kitchen was well set-up and we enjoyed most of our meals at the house. Beds were very comfortable! The location was great because it was in a quiet neighborhood and sleeping was easy with no noise.
There were only small concerns: the backyard was not pet friendly but we didn’t have pets with us. The backyard was overgrown and part of the fence was down and there is no gate; the bedroom on the first floor had a pocket door that didn’t seem to work - we tried to pull it closed but it wouldn’t budge and we didn’t want to force it; the pool cues were older and probably needed new tips (according to others in our group) but a number of pool games were still enjoyed; there is a chess table and when chairs were moved to sit down at that table, the floors had not been cleaned underneath but the rest of the house was clean. These really were minor and did not impact our stay at all. Lots of games available to play but we were too busy and the game room light didn’t work well at all. The biggest issue we had (again, minimal impact) was no blinds on the windows in the main living area. This made evening meals at the dining room table a little uncomfortable depending on the sunset. Regardless, we would stay here again.
We would recommend this house if you have a large group with lots of kids. There is only one room that has a queen bed and en suite so additional adults would be sleeping in bunk bed rooms. Again, that didn’t bother us at all and the bedroom setup is disclosed in the listing. There is a bathroom on each of the three floors and that was really great. The house was decorated nicely.
