About this apartment rental
Rio Santo Residences offers 2 charming, self-catering, fully outfitted 1-bedroom apartments, located in the very popular Worthing area on the South Coast of Barbados. Nestled in a quiet cul de sac, these units undoubtedly provide an ideal retreat from the daily hustle and bustle.
You will be able to sleep two persons in a comfortable air-conditioned bedroom and an additional person on the sofa-bed, if required.
You will also enjoy the convenience of a living area with TV, a kitchen fully-outfitted with refrigerator, four-burner stove, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, etc., and a washer and dryer. Linens and towels are provided.
Rio Santo Residences is advantageously located close to the famous St. Lawrence Gap in Barbados, and across the street from a white sandy beach, washed by the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Mere yards away is the popular Rockley Beach.
Nearby, within walking distance, are supermarkets, banks, medical offices, pharmacy, shops, hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The area is heavily trafficked, well-lighted and safe for walking.
As the property is virtually on the bus transportation route, a car is not essential but most people elect to have one, especially for sight-seeing and travel to venues outside the immediate vicinity. For those preferring not to drive themselves, taxi service is readily available.
Within ten minutes by car are the Rockley Golf Club, the National Tennis Centre, the Garrison Historic Area (including the headquarters of the Barbados Defense Force and the Garrison Savannah horse racing track), and the Museum and Historical Society. It is about 15 minutes to the capital city Bridgetown and 20 minutes to the Grantley Adams International Airport. UNESCO designated Bridgetown and the Garrison Historic Area as a heritage site.
The South Coast of Barbados has great appeal to the visitor. It is vibrant, with great night life and many excellent restaurants. Mojo's is next door and a short walk away is everyone's favourite Champers Restaurant and Wine Bar. The best known area is the popular St. Lawrence Gap where you can find many popular night clubs, restaurants and bars. Also within easy reach is Oistin’s Town, famous for its fresh fish fries and down-to-earth ambience.
Rio Santo Residences is your home away from home. From there, you can Reach Out And Touch Barbados!

We had a wonderful time with my family. Swim with turtles, close to beach and the grocery store. Mr. Norris is very nice and helpful. Can't wait to come back..

I loved the property in every way. From being cordially greeted by the owner, the property itself, to the neighborhood, and its accessibility to markets, beaches, bars, restaurants, etc cannot be over-emphasized. Anton was super helpful in solving any queries I had. Most of all, I felt safe during my stay. I will highly recommend anyone visiting Barbados to stay here. I loved every second of my stay here.

Great location in Barbados
Wow, we loved it. It was so close to Worthing Beach and an easy walk to Rockley Beach. We could walk to the grocery store and restaurants, and the ZR van stop was also close by. I guess the location was our favorite part, but our little apartment was plenty big enough for the two of us. It was very clean, nice bathroom, and an adequate kitchen for a little bit of cooking. It was so nice to have air conditioning in the bedroom so we could close the window (shutting out the noise from Mojo's bar next door) and have a peaceful night's sleep. We had the lower apartment, which I'm guessing might be cooler than the upstairs.
We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Anton!

Great location
Perfect spot for getting around the island. Busses, stores, nightlife, restaurants and a gorgeous beach all within a couple of minutes walk. Mr Norris provided us with easy to carry beach chairs which we used at local beach. A few days we traveled to other beaches and rented chairs. We loved having washer and dryer. My only negative is, that although we were right by main road, we had to walk up a dark dead end side street to reach apartment. Outside of property is very well lit though. I just wouldn't suggest this place for single female travelers. Otherwise, it was an excellent value

The property is in a good location close to shops, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The only points that we didn't like about the property was that there is not air conditioning throughout the whole apartment but just in the bedroom and when it was on, it would drip water so we had to have buckets underneath it. Also, the shower did not have great pressure. Some nights, the bar closeby would get pretty loud so that made it a bit hard to sleep. The tv and internet were also not the greatest as the tv would skip a lot and the internet wouldn't work a lot of the time. Otherwise, it's a great little place and we enjoyed our time. It's super close to the beach so we were very happy with that!

Wonderful!
This was our 19th trip to Barbados, but our first time to stay here. We've already seen booked it for our next visit in November! This apartment was perfect for us. We loved being in a quiet, residential area and the close proximity to Mojo's was not a problem at all as far as noise from the restaurant is concerned. It was nice having a washer and dryer since we were there for 3 weeks. Being close to the grocery stores was also very convenient.
This apartment building is on a side street that's quiet and one morning we saw a family of monkeys! Call us silly, but we still get excited every time we see them!
Mr. Norris has always been very quick to get back to us with answers to our questions- a very nice man. I'm thinking we've found our new home away from home when we're in Barbados!

I have stayed numerous times (at different times of year) in the 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. It is located just off the main road in a quiet residential neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. Less than a 5 minute walk away from the apartment are 2 large grocery stores, banks, restaurants, beaches and bus stops that go to the city or towards Oistins, the airport and East Coast. The apartment itself is clean, spacious and has cable, WiFi and a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board which comes in very handy if staying for an extended period of time. It is completely self-catering (large fridge/freezer, dishes, pots, coffee maker, kettle, utensils) and a BBQ as well can be requested from Mr. Norris, the owner. He will do everything possible to make your vacation go smoothly and if you have questions, he will get back to you immediately. I would highly recommend staying at Rio Santos Residences.

Outstanding property: Affordable, fully self-catering, excellent location
We stayed for 1 week at Rio Santos Residences, 1-bedroom/1-bath apartment. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge/freezer, 4-hob burner (no oven), microwave, pots/pans, dishware, cutlery. It was clean and comfortable and secure. It is open-concept with the kitchenette, table/2-chairs, and small living room in one area, a separate large bedroom, and a large bathroom with shower. There is plenty of closet space in the bedroom, as well as a wall safe to store valuables (e.g., passport, ID). The apartment we stayed in is on the upper floor of a 2-apartment unit, which enjoyed wonderful breezes and a sunny roof-top patio (with a somewhat obstructed view of the ocean) reached by a steep ladder/stairs. There is a fan in the main living area and a quiet A/C unit in the bedroom that works quickly and quietly to keep the room cool for sleeping. The apartment is in an excellent location, in a nice residential neighbourhood one block from the main street. A wonderful white sand beach is accessible via a public walkway directly across the main street. A full grocery store is located less than a 5-min walk from the apartment. The much-touted St. Lawrence Gap is within walking distance, as are numerous other restaurants/shops/beaches. Dive and other tour operators out of Bridgetown will do pick-ups from Worthing. The apartment includes a parking space but a car hire is not absolutely necessary unless you plan to tour the full island; everything else you need is within walking distances and/or accessible from the nearby main street by bus. The apartment is in the ideal location for exploring the region - up west are swanky hotels but relatively few walkable amenities; the city of Bridgetown offers little to tourists with respect to places to stay/spend extended time - most hotels/motels/apartments are in this general region for good reason. The apartment is difficult to find on a map but is located right behind "Mojo's" - an open-air pub/restaurant. We were concerned the first night that patrons at Mojo's might keep us awake at night (I'm a light sleeper) but with the bedroom windows closed & the A/C on, this wasn't an issue for us. Because this is apartment-style accommodation for those who might like independence and/or a self-catering option, you should not book this apartment expecting 5-star luxury or perfection. But we loved it and will not hesitate to book again if we are fortunate enough to visit Barbados again.

Excellent location
My husband and I stayed at this property in November 2012. We found the location to be excellent for walking to the beach and restaurants and the apartment was clean and private. I would highly recommend visiting Barbados and this property.

We were very satisfied with our accommodations. The listing description and photos are very accurate, the property is well-maintained and the amenities were not overstated. The owner, Mr Anton was readily accessible, and promptly responded to any request. So, we would definitely stay at this property again, and would not hesitate to recommend it to relatives and friends. During our stay we visited Accra Beach, which is about 5 minutes away by automobile, but is also within walking distance. The Fish Fry in Oistin's on Friday Night is a must see, as well as downtown Bridgetown. For added entertainment, we got to see the green monkeys playing in the mango trees. If you want affordable, clean accommodations, that give you that home away from home feeling, this is the place to stay.

barbados condo
Very convienent location (banks, grocery store, restaurants) all within a few minute walk. Beaches are literally across the street, our 4 yr old son liked Crystal Beach the best (3-4 blocks away) It has a sea turtle living in the area. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, lots of room for a family of 3 or 4. Anything we needed that the apartment did not have Anton brought over right away. Not neccessary to rent a car, Oistins short ZR(bus) ride away, same as Bridgetown. Very safe to walk aroung at night, everyone so friendly and always willing to help. We have already booked for winter of 2013.

My children and I spent Christmas at this apartment. We loved it. The apartment has everything we needed. Very clean and a great price. The location is within walking distance to supermarkets and beaches. We will definately be back.
