Great house for our family. Loved the beach for our grandson.
3.0
Nice, big, made-for-vacation rental house,150 yards from and 50 feet above the lake/beach, but with a nice, limited view of it. House was big and well laid out for a one -floor plan, but some weird construction gaffe meant that at night, anyone walking anywhere in the common areas was making the floor squeak, consistently and noticeably. Bothered a couple people's sleep.
The local staff was responsive to small equipment hiccup. so good there!
Great lake if you like fishing.
Good instructions and detail about the house.
Nice west facing patio, really big and well-appointed (Furniture and grill) , with that nice view of the beach and lake.
Two storms blew through (late August) knocking out early morning electrical power for about 3 hours. The Coffee addicts had to drive for their brew - BUT thanx to the GREAT Lac Court Oreille (LCO) Native American store nearby, it was a short and easy trip.
All day rain limiting the fun, but the house handled it well once the power came back.

Our family really enjoyed the property. The house was a great size for our family of 4 (plus a dog) and we liked that we had a boat ready to go on arrival.

Everything was as expected. You feel warm and cozy as soon as you walk in. Very open and spacious so all can enjoy time together. Being on the lake was wonderful my son brought his fishing boat and a water trampoline. Kiddos had so much fun and me (grandma) so enjoyed watching. Only suggestion is washer/dryer. I would like to go back and I'm telling everyone. Thank you for opening up your home to my family. Cheryl

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay. The area was nice and quiet. Located close to Hayward.
I do want to point out a couple things that are not in the listing. While the name says beach house, the beach is down a steep hill and you have to walk close to other properties. Wasn’t an issue for us, but could be for some.
Also, you have to take towels with you. They don’t tell you this until you get an email a couple weeks before and thankfully this was the first house on our trip. Otherwise, we would have had to go buy towels. Not just beach towels, but kitchen, bath, everything.
If you cook much, take a skillet. I always take a knife and cutting board, so that is recommended as well. But they cookware isn’t great. One of the pots is warped and so it wouldn’t ever boil water because it didn’t have enough contact on the burner.
Additionally, the beds are very soft and roll to the middle. They have been well used and were not comfortable.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Sandy’s. Love the location and the cabin itself. Always great fishing! Communication with the host was quick, and no issues. I highly recommend and plan on staying again in the future.

The positives: The cabin itself is laid out nicely, with two living areas and the kitchen far away from the bedrooms! The kitchen was well stocked! The main floor bathroom is very big and nice. The beds were comfortable. The beach area was as promised, sandy and sandy bottom lake access. We caught tons of fish (out on the lake from boat)!
The improvement opps: the furniture is very uncomfortable. It is difficult to get out of-all couches and chairs. We had a chipmunk get into the basement and eventually make its way upstairs-this was very unpleasant, thankfully just a chipmunk. The cement patio is a tripping hazard everywhere. Very uneven and dangerous by the stairs. The walk down to the beach is LONG and VERY unclear. You have to walk amongst other rentals vehicles and cabins and again its a WAYS down to the beach- this should be made more clear and described how to access better. The beach is definitely shared, so this may be a good cabin for different groups who know each other to utilize. You can't fish off the dock especially if the other groups are swimming there (because again, very shared area), so recommend getting a boat option. I would not describe this cabin as "beachfront" or "waterfront", it's set very far back and very far up from the water, behind other cabins.

We love this cabin and the patio. The sandy beach is also very nice. Definitely a great place to stay.

Every year my family gets together for a 1 week vacation. Its a time we all treasure being together with our busy life's. We usually change our vacation location every year. Not this time. The owner of this has a beautiful place, super clean, spacious, beautiful beach/water, and the fishing was great. Texted the owner about a minor issue, and was resolved the next morning. Been doing this for 30+ years. We already re-booked for next year. This was truley a great vacation.

We really enjoyed our week at Sandy’s Beach House! The cabin is comfortable with a great layout including two living spaces. The patio is lovely with a fire pit, gas grill and nice view. The beach area is truly incredible and amazing sunset views! Yes, it is a bit of a walk to the beach area, but we knew this coming in and didn’t find it to be a problem for us! We rented a pontoon for the week and were able to enjoy the large pristine lake ( plenty of open space on the water with low boat traffic, especially on the weekdays!). The management company was very responsive and easy to work with! We really hope to be back soon!!

Good time together with our children and grandchild. Time went by fast! Nice patio on the back for fire. Fishing was challenging but not much that can be done about the weather. Still caught some

A beautiful site enjoyed the view eagle's Duck In geese landing what a beautiful site. The cabin was perfect beautiful clean Is comfortable and warm.
We spent most of our time at the fire pit outside with the view of the beautiful lake. Just what we needed we're looking for quiet peace and Is rest. We rented a pontoon for A-day and that was so fun and the lake was so beautiful. We were there for fishing. However it was not the best time of the year never. Theless they had a great time! Your team came through on things that we needed such as the gas grill wood pantoon and one Extra night much appreciated!

A group of us snowmobilers rented the property due to it being close to the snowmobile trail and it being large enough to accommodate our group. The property was well maintained and everything worked as it should. Absolutely no problems. We were very pleased with the property. Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us and the great management company to work with.

The cabin itself was very nice! Clean and well appointed. We really liked the firepit on the back patio. The location was great.
We had a couple concerns however, although they can be viewed as small by some. The cabin is set back and the pictures don't show that another house partially blocks your view. The beach is a jaunt around that house and down a steep gravel road. The website doesn't really mention this. The overstuffed furniture is very difficult to get out of(we are in our 60's) and not supportive. Also we are used to firm mattresses and these where definitely not.
All in all,we had a very nice time and the leaves where Gorgeous!!

This house has mostly beautiful knotty pine interiors. The lakeshore is very beautiful and the lake is great for swimming.
The descriptions and pictures are accurate. It should be noted that the second bathroom is in the basement and the furniture is quite old. The couches have very little support. Great for kids but not so much for older adults. We would rent again.

Love the beach!
Our week at the property was lovely. Check-in and out were VERY easy. The house was clean and comfortable for our extended group. The beach was wonderful for all sorts of fun water activities. I highly recommend bringing a wagon for transport, though. It is a bit of a hike to the water.

Cabin in the north woods.
The cabin was clean and ready for us. We appreciated the proximity to snowmobile trails. The space was large enough for 6 adults to spread out and enjoy time inside as well.

Fun family vacation
Great main level layout and close to trails. Loved the gas fireplace.

Very nice place for a large group, the rooms are huge.
While we only had 5 adults, we could have easily added 5 kids with no issue. All the rooms are very large, much larger than any cabin I've seen. Close to local stores when supplies are needed.

Not as expected
Not lake front, backlot. Poor condition of home maintenance. Very high iron in house water, three blonde girls left as orange/red heads. Won’t rent again.

2nd stay was as nice as the first!
Nice large house with 3 spacious bedrooms and a full, well equipped kitchen. Two separate living areas with 2 TVs,. (I brought my Chromecast which worked well.) We rented a pontoon boat this year, and it was well worth the additional cost. We all had a marvelous time!

Great Week!
The cabin was very nice. It had plenty of room and ammenities. The water had a strong odor and taste of iron though. It was a pretty good hike down to the beach, but once you got there, it was very nice. The location was great. There was a very nice sand bar very close to the properties and a bar/restaurant right across the lake! We had a good week!!
3.0
Not worth the rate
At more than $500/nt, this property is overgrown and unkempt. I've stayed in many many VRBO properties and this is the FIRST to have not met standards. The photos sure make this place look MUCH nicer than it is. It sits behind a very large "beach house" , whose parking is right under master bedroom window. Access to the beach is also through this property. The private beach is shared between 3 properties. This is also the first and only property without laundry facilities plus offering NO towels.
The 2nd bathroom is not on the main level, but in the basement. The patio furniture was broken and tipped over, with dog dish from previous renters there...as well as dog hair throughout the house. Also note...the ice machine does not work and broken dining chair, and very worn bedding. The photos show two chairs in front of the master bedroom looking at the beach...though all we viewed were dead trees. We love the area and will continue to summer here...just not at this property.

The house was very roomy and the views were fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. The grill was nice as well. Quick little drive to town if you want to shop or grab something to eat.
