About this house rental

A large Mountain home in a perfect central location for everything in Boone that will comfortably accommodate large groups such as family reunions. With over 5000 square feet of living space, as well as an additional 1600 feet of outdoor decks, its easy to enjoy the fresh mountain experience.

All the furniture is good quality and creates an atmosphere you would expect in an upscale vacation home. Home is gradually being upgraded including fresh paint and new floors.

The main living area includes a living room with a fireplace and 60" flat screen TV. This room is open to a large fully equipped kitchen. Beside the kitchen is the dining area that seats sixteen at a country style table which allows everyone to eat together. Outside on the deck there are two tables and 16 chairs. Eat outside and enjoy the beautiful mountain view. A gas grill is provided on this level so you can enjoy your favorite steak and BBQ recipes. Back inside on this floor is a large primary bedroom and full bath with a garden tub along with a second bedroom that includes a twin bed and trundle and a half bath. There is also a fully equipped laundry room.

On the upper floor you will find two 20 x 25 bedrooms with 2 queen sized beds in each. There is a private bathroom for each. In the foyer between these rooms there is a queen pull out sofa along.

The lower level of the house is the perfect place for entertainment OR sleeping. Use as a bedroom or game room or both. There are two pull out queen beds bought in 2022 with a Full Bath Here you will also find a regulation Brunswick pool table, wet bar, board games and puzzles as well as a second fireplace. Sliding doors bring you out to a new deck containing a table and chairs. Take the stairs down to a large outdoor hot tub. This level of the house is the perfect place to enjoy football games, movies or just relax by the fireplace with your favorite beverage.

We also offer a 1/2 day rate with an early check in and late check out. Please ask if that is of interest to you.

The 2.5 acre lot is flat and can easily accommodate multiple cars for parking. An extra benefit is an outdoor solo stove for relaxing and toasting marshmallows with the kids.

One of the best features of this home is the location. Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk are all within 15 minutes. The Watauga River, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain and Appalachian State Campus are close by. Once you book we will send information on day trips, hiking trails restaurants, and other points of interest. During winter season the ski slopes of Sugar mountain and Ski Beech are nearby.

We require a $800 refundable security deposit. Our rates for Holiday weekends are slightly higher. WE DO HAVE AN AGE LIMIT FOR RENTALS. We request you send a copy of your drivers license with your request.

Please be aware that we have caretakers residing in a separate apartment within our house. This self-contained apartment has its own entrance, ensuring your privacy throughout your stay. The caretakers do not have access to the areas designated for our guests, including the amenities we provide.

Spacious place, convenient location (close to Boone, NC). Amenities were exactly as described. Host was very easy to communicate with and delivered exactly what we were looking for. Should we find ourselves back in the Boone area again, we would absolutely book this place again.

Needed a place for a few friends to gather for a birthday celebration and this house delivered! The hosts were incredibly easy to work with and their response time was fast. The home is well kept, up to date, and has everything you might need to during your stay. There is plenty of room for people to gather and to have quiet space to themselves. Minutes to town with wide open skies above to star gaze by the fire pit or solo stove. Five out of five stars!!

Perfect place for an awesome weekend. Host communication was good, check in was simple, check out was easy. Lots of great space for entertaining. Really enjoyed the hot tub, the large deck with solo stove for evening fires, and the grills and large well equipped kitchen for preparing fantastic meals. Plenty of beds for a large group of guys. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Convenient to Boone and also private. Didn't even notice the live in caretaker. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Great stay, weekend get together with large family. Plenty of towels, bedding was comfortable. We had 6 families each had their own space to escape to! Host very helpful and replied right away to any concerns that we had. Lovely home, great area. Plenty of restaurants near by

Jacqueline was so accommodating to our needs. I brought 20 teenagers to run the mountains. It was suppose to be a smaller group, but when it grew to 20, Jacqueline brought in a few mattresses to put on the floor of the huge upstairs bedrooms so it slept all the boys. The girls had the main floor and we kept the game room open for our team meetings and group fun. We NEVER ran out of hot water after we all showered after each of our runs. We have taken this trip twice in the past and this was the only time that we didn't have a house that had a problem with hot water. We had plenty of silverware, towels, blankets and room in the house and on the decks, it was awesome. The other great thing was the location. Close to Wal-Mart, and we were only a 30-60 minutes drive to most of our favorite running trails and 5 minutes to the cutest park to do our afternoon runs. The kids loved the pool table and played board games during their down time. We were surprised to learn that there was a tenant downstairs, but they did not hinder our trip at all nor did they complain about having 22 people above them. Jacqueline was always quick to answer any questions and very helpful in all situations. Thank you for being so flexible Jacqueline, we plan to be back next year.

Our family had an excellent time at this property. It had plenty of space for the kids and adults to enjoy. The property was also very convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock and the ski slopes. This is the second time for some of my family staying at this property and I'm sure we will be back again.

Enjoyed our stay with friends this past weekend. Great set up all around, plus Jacqueline was awesome to work with, answered all my questions very quickly. Large bedrooms, open air kitchen fully loaded along with plenty of outdoor seating around the fire. Would definitely go back!

The online listing was inaccurate and disappointing since the fire pit area was not available since a trailer was parked there...although the host purchased a fire pit we used on the deck.... and we didn't realize part of the property, lower level, was lived in by the host family...unusual for a VRBO listing to have part of a living space occupied...

Spacious house and property for 10 adult men to comfortable hang out together. We get to there once a year. The property was perfect! Plenary of kitchen and dining space. And the multi floor home allowed for us to have room to ourselves without the feeling of being cramped. Would recommend for future visitors!

We had a wonderful time at Wolf’s Den! The house was incredibly clean and as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the addition of fall decor that made it feel extra cozy. We loved being close to Boone and the many activities we had available to us. Working with Mary was a delight and she made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this property!
