We loved our stay at Andrew's property. The house was surprisingly spacious and included a large living room with seating for 10+, a kitchen full of all the cooking supplies one might need, and ample parking. The spot on the lake isn't ideal for swimming (water is shallow and full of muck/vegetation within 20 yards of the doc), but the large selection of boats still made it very easy for us to get out and enjoy the lake. Andrew was very responsive and accommodating. We stayed in the summer, but this would be a great place for the winter too, as we could see Okemo from the driveway. Highly recommend!

This house is now a part of our family summer routine, and it was magic, as always. Even with the floods, we were able to enjoy Ludlow and the surrounding area, and we found some new spots to enjoy as well. #LudlowStrong indeed; road crews were super busy fixing everything up. The house was perfect and charming - always has everything we need, and the access to the lake is our favorite part. Thank you for a wonderful, restorative stay!! See you next year!

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home right on Lake Rescue. The house was immaculately clean, with very comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed the private dock for our small boat and the use of kayaks and canoes. The house is a 5-minute drive to Okemo and 40 to Killington Mountain. So much to see and do in this scenic, charming area of VT. Andrew was a terrific host and communication was top notch-- he was patient with all of our questions and made us feel very welcome. This is our 4th Ludlow summer vacation, and this home was by far our favorite!

We all agreed it was a great rental, plenty of amenities, details were accurate and a great amount of indoor space!
The number of kayaks were perfect for our group so we didn't have to bring our own. If you had young children, there is no beach area and water in the cove is full of vegetation. Not an issue if you aren't swimming.
Loved the upper deck for evening cocktails and the "indoor porch" space with bar stools for morning coffee.
Andrew was great with communication and check in and out were super easy.

My sisters and I loved the inside of the house. Comfortable! Large room with windows looking out at the lake.
One improvement needed if warm temperatures arise- must clean window sills. No air conditioning so windows were open…

This home is lovely inside, beds are very comfy, kitchen nicely filled with what we needed, porch with Adirondack chairs is wonderful, enough watercraft for us to all be out on the water together. No AC but window fans were sufficient for us.

The whole process was seamless and the property was inviting and clean. The beds were very comfortable for this group of older ladies. Andrew was the best to communicate with.

Beautiful lakeside sanctuary!
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Andrew’s Lake Rescue home. The home itself is in a beautiful natural location surrounded on all sides by tall trees, a beaver lodge, families of ducks, and a great heron our last morning there. We went out in the canoes and kayaks almost every day, swimming by the red bridge and paddling all over the lake. We enjoyed the local Okemo adventure zone which the kids loved! And we took in some nice hikes including Mount Ascutney with the amazing observation deck that hang gliders watch off of. The home itself was well appointed with excellent views through windows on all sides and a nice tidy kitchen. Laundry on site was a plus. We would return in a heartbeat.

A week out on the water!
Plenty of room in the house.
Plenty of kayaks, the canoe and the paddle board for everyone.
Would have liked to swim right off the dock, but were able to swim anyway.
Thank you for answering our questions immediately.

Spacious house with relaxing surroundings
Listing was just as described and Andrew was a very communicative and helpful host. It was a great spot for our annual guys trip to Vermont. Plenty of kayaks and can’t beat being right on the lake.

Easy booking, great communication with owner, perfect location! Everything worked well, only complaint was no dish towels.. but sure Andrew would have taken care of it if we had communicated a need. Wonderful time with group of life-long friends! Would absolutely book again.

Vermont Lake Paradise
We had a fantastic time at this property. The house is clean and spacious, with a great layout for groups. It also has a small three-season bar where you can sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and feel the warm breeze without worrying about bugs. The lake itself is spectacular and offers plenty of kayaking and other water activity opportunities. Location is also great, with easy access to nearby recreational activities. Overall, a truly special place.
The only issue that came up during our stay was major construction on Vermont Route 100, which is immediately adjacent to the property. During the hours of approx. 8am - 5pm, it felt like being right in the middle of a construction site. This was not the host's fault and I determined there was no way the host could have known in advance based on the information provided on the Vermont Department of Transportation website, which is why I still rated our stay five stars. However, if you're looking for true peace and quiet during daylight hours, especially if it's a weekday, it would be in your best interest to investigate the issue further to ensure that no additional roadwork is planned in the area.

Beautiful lake views from nearly every window. Exactly what we were looking for for a weekend near family. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including Kayaks.

Winter on the lake, just a short drive to Okemo
A great location for our young family to spend winter days! Plenty of things for the little kids to explore outside between the short trail loop on the property and the frozen lake, just a quick drive away from Okemo skiing. Plenty to do inside too, with a wonderful fireplace in the living space and a wall of windows to view lake activity. Foosball and other games were much appreciated. The home had everything we needed, warm and comfortable with plenty of room for our family to spread out, cook, dine and store our things. Andrew is a great host, friendly and responsive. We hope to be back soon!

THE BEST!
This is my favorite rental, ever, hands down. A home away from home, and just the most beautiful setting. The house is well equipped, beautiful and clean, access to the lake is A++, and the owner is a pleasure to work with. Truly, THE BEST!!

House on a cove
Andrew was very accommodating and easy to contact. The house is mostly as described. It is in need of some care to windows and screens that have holes that let in bugs. The kitchen has mostly what you need but was missing some things you may want to bring along like a potato peeler and hot pot hands and dish rags. The canoe, kayaks and paddle board were wonderful! My nephew fished and caught many fish right from the dock! The area around the dock was not swimmable as it was murky and floating with debris. But with ingenuity and the help of a kayak and a bunch of floats purchased from the local hardware store we formed a float train and dragged ourself out to the middle of the lake. It was delightful to float and be silly out in the lake. It was very, very hot and while there were window fans for the bedrooms a few more fans would make it more comfortable. We loved the foosball table and had lots of evening battles!

Lake House
This was our second time staying at the lake house. Just like our last stay, we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking in Lake Rescue as well as the summer activities at Okemo. There are a lot of games inside the house for kids to stay unplugged. The communication with the owner was also very easy. We got the responses right away. Would definitely come back again!

More spacious than expected
The beautiful home was a lot more spacious than expected. A very pleasant surprise. The location was great; it felt isolate and yet it was like 5 mins away from the stores and restaurants. It is also very close to Okemo Mountain if you are an avid snowboarder or skier. My friends and I loved it and wouldn't mind coming back for the summer to chill on the lake.

Amazing House, great location
We had a great time at our stay here. The house was beautiful and right on the lake. The location was right by town and close to okemo mountain for skiing. This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway, would definitely recommend.

Coziest Ski Cabin
We could not have been more happy when we walked onto this property. An adorable house nestled in the woods on the edge of a peaceful lake... even before we walked in we were thrilled. Upon walking in we were greeted by a warm entry, big closet for ski gear and a view of the snowy January landscape through big windows. The kitchen was the quintessential cozy cabin nook, opening into a perfect dining space big enough for our whole family. The sunken living room with an almost panoramic view of the lake and brick fireplace were the perfect retreat after a day of skiing. LOVED this place. And the owners were wonderful.

We were fortunate enough to stay in late September when the foliage was really starting to pop. This made this location even more beautiful. The house is perfect and has everything you will need and the kitchen is very well equipped. The view is fantastic and there are several great locations to sit and gaze upon the lake (2nd floor balcony, screened in bar, patio and fire pit area. The pictures do not do the property justice, especially the living room and bedrooms. We wish we had booked a longer stay! We absolutely hope to stay again.

Three Generations
The house is spectacular, with shifting views of water reflections and many amenities for a rainy day: a foosball table, 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, books you might actually read. A super grind-and-brew coffee maker. We didn't use the picnic table, grill, and firepit. It's above a cove. I saw a fly fisherman catch a big fish in it. There's a substantial dock and platform and folding chairs. Two kayaks and a canoe, and PFDs of all sizes. My granddaughter, who isn't a strong swimmer, LOVED being in the water, in which she could touch bottom. Only drawback was a silty bottom. No mosquitoes! We were 6 people, not 8. The third bedroom has 2 bunk beds, good for kids but not for couples. Wi-fi.
