This comfortable and unfussy house had plenty of space for four couples (could have had one more) plus a large screened porch, outdoor seating areas, and a pool table upstairs. Kitchen is well equipped. There were missing or dead light bulbs in a number of fixtures; all of those should be checked by housekeepers before next rental. Overall, we would certainly rent this house again.

We couldn't have asked for a better rental for our large family. It was a great experience.

Mold, filthy, broken fixtures, and overall dysfunctional for a family of 6 or more.
The property is NOT waterfront, and is actually in the middle of a RV Park...or so it appears. The property was filthy, stunk, and contained visible mold. The host tried to remedy the situation by coming by and cleaning, but we simply could not stay because of elderly & asthmatic health issues of two family members.
We immediately booked a different property and left after staying ONLY one night because of travel exhaustion.
We would NOT recommend this property.

The place was everything we could ever ask for! We were all very comfortable and happy with our stay! The family even said they want to go back there next year! It is twenty three minutes from Hunting Island where our family pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We enjoyed the beach that was five minutes from there as well. We walked and collected shells.

The house was clean and had plenty of space to accommodate my myself, my husband, and friends. The owner answered all my questions and check out was simple. The only problem we had was the downstairs A/C didn’t work properly as the common areas (dining room, living room, kitchen remained warm throughout our stay. The ceiling fan in the living room would only work on low.

Perfect property for a family or friends gathering. The 6 members, including myself, had not been together as a group since our 50th HS reunion in 2016, and had a wonderful time reminiscing about our lasting friendship in a pleasant environment.

We had a large family with pets staying together for a mcrd graduation and this was a great option for us. The house was spacious and clean. Living room furniture was new, beds were comfortable. We made good use of the screened in porch as the evening weather was perfect for sitting outside. The kids loved the upstairs game room. The drive to the base didn’t take long at all. We walked to the old fort and explored as well as spending some time down at the water. We found one minor issue upon check in and the owner got back to us immediately. Met a couple Neighbors and they super friendly. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Overall location was great for our purposes and owner communicated rather quickly to several hiccups that occurred: smoke alarm going off when we arrived; lightbulbs missing from lamps; electric can opener broken & water heater fuse flipped so a few had col showers until we figured out the reason. We loved the fact that we could have the 3 dogs between us there but the cleanliness and age of furniture looked as though it accommodated the dogs more than the guests. The outdoor porch would have been a great addition but porch and furniture was very filthy and looked like tall needed a good power wash. The pool table had only one complete pocket so balls fell to the floor. The couches in living room desperately need replacing. Despite the above the location was perfect, the kitchen well equipped and homeowner very nice.

The property was even better than advertised. My only regret is that we were so busy we didnt spend a lot of time at the house. The house was very nice and we are looking forward to going back sometime in the future.

Our family gathered at Bell Point for Labor Day weekend, right after a hurricane passed through South Carolina. Yard debris was cleared even though we were there 2 days later. Jane communicated that there was power but no television. As we are a family of card/board games, and jigsaw puzzle workers, we certainly didn’t mind no TV. It was wonderful to have 2 coffee makers for 7 adults, plenty of space for us to game and share meals, well-stocked kitchen for preparing said meals. Plenty of space for each couple/ person to have their own bedroom. The neighborhood was friendly, and I highly recommend renting the golf cart to get around and explore, although the beach and Fort Fremont are an easy walk. We enjoyed exploring nearby Beaufort, and Port Royal. We also enjoyed reading the history of the area in the notebook provided by Jane. Bell Point was an excellent spot for our little family reunion.

We loved staying at Bell Point. It's very clean, quiet and a comfortable place to stay. All of us felt at home. We had the pleasure of meeting the host of Bell Point the first day, she was quick to take care of any issues we had. My nephew is stationed at Paris Island we were able to visit with him and see the old fort just down the road. I would love to stay here again.

The location is great, near good fishing, great seafood restaurants and it is a short trip to the ocean. Wifi is iffy but our main reason for the trip was family time so not a priority for us. The bed configuration was different than that posted on the website but the host provided an air mattress

Tons of space. We had 9 and could have easily slept more. House is a lot more spacious than the pictures let on. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots n pans, ext.
If you are staying for. Marine graduation it is a solid 30 mins to Parris Island.
Had no problem getting instacart deliveries. It is about 10-15 min drive to all stores.

Our group of 9 adults and 3 dogs (one small, one medium, one large) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bell Point. The shared areas were spacious and we especially liked the size and layout of the kitchen. The screened porch was a popular spot and the backyard was a nice spot to enjoy the firepit and listen to the songbirds. My parents (mid-70s) found the master very comfortable and accessible and everyone else was very comfortable in the other bedrooms. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxed, we never heard any neighbors the whole week. While the DSL internet service was dependable during the day, it tended to lag in the evenings (likely because more neighbors were online). This was not a problem as it encouraged us to get out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed strolling the nearby beach and the egret/heron rookery a couple of blocks away at Land's End Pond. The Beaufort area presented plenty of sightseeing opportunities and Savannah was an easy day trip. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect place to stay during USMC Graduation Week!
10.0
My family and I stayed in this place for our sons USMC graduation. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pictures are exactly as the house shows. It was beautiful. The fort is across the road and it is very cool to walk through. Parris Island is about a 25 minute drive so it's a great place to stay if you are looking to visit for Graduation. There is also a public access to the beach less than a five minute walk. The porch was wonderful to sit on and very peaceful.

We rented this property for my son's USMC graduation. We had a large group and this place provided us plenty of room to spread out. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. With such a large group it was nice to have three bathrooms in which we never ran out of hot water. We enjoyed being able to explore Fort Fremont that was a very short walk away. We cooked a huge family style dinner to celebrate. We used the gas grill that is located at the property. The teens ate on the screened in porch. After dinner we enjoyed hanging out around the fire in the fire pit at the house. We definitely recommend this place if you have a large group. If you are coming down for graduation the house is about 30 minutes from Parris Island.

We stayed at Bells Point for our son’s graduation from USMC. Overall the property accommodated our needs. It could use a little TLC and updating but was perfectly fine for our needs. We would recommend.

Family time for at Bell Point!
We had a wonderful week. Jane was the best, very quick to respond with questions or anything we needed, she even dropped off home grown tomatoes! Our guys fished and caught stingrays, a baby shark, and all of us enjoyed trying to catch the crabs! The neighbors were so friendly and everyone we met acted like they had known us forever. The sound isn't like the ocean so don't expect a huge beach or large waves. We were there for our Marines graduation (30 minutes from PI) and he has 3 brothers so the area was perfect for them, the girls enjoyed the sun, and the house was perfect and peaceful for all of us. If you want the large beach Hunting Island is one of the most beautiful beaches in our wonderful state and is only about a 20 minute drive, we enjoyed 2 great days there. Jane has a very informative book put together that tells you about the local history of the area ( quite a lot including movies made in the area) within the drive in and we were surprised how close the ruins and old school were. The fort was right next to us and our dogs got to enjoy it as much as we did, it was where they headed on every walk!! The younger adults even went to try and find the ghosts of Fort Fremont!! All in all we had a wonderful time with family and Jane made sure everything within her power made that happen, the whole family loved her. And I can't end without mentioning the grapefruit, lime, tangerine and fig trees at Bell Point I just wish they would have been ripe! Oh well hopefully someday soon another family will enjoy them!! A huge shout out and thanks to Jane!

Nice place overall.
Our stay was very nice, and the location was quiet. It is quite a distance to many things, grocery stores were about 10 miles away, restaurants and shopping areas were also several miles away.. The beach on the intercoastal was nice and just a few blocks away, and Fort Fremont was interesting. I did have a problem with us having to take our trash to a recycling center a few miles away. And, it's only open a few days a week. We did it, but I think there should be a much closer place to put any trash. We did not know that was required. I also think that should have been disclosed in the listing. We drove to Hunting Island State Park, about 25 minutes away and the beach there was very nice, and the lighthouse is beautiful. Overall it was a nice time and we enjoyed it.

Perfect location for us. Appreciate your flexibility with our dates. Clean and comfortable.

I gave it an overall rating of 3 due to this being an older house and could use some upgrades.
This site was perfect for our needs for our Marine’s graduation. Keep in mind, this is an older house but very roomy. The fort and beach across the street is an added bonus.

Marine Graduation
House was great. Perfect size and plenty of room for everyone. House was fully equipped with everything. Neighborhood and surrounding areas are a little rundown. Close to the beach. Walked on the beach and saw people fishing for sharks. Owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a wine cooler in the kitchen which really was not useful and out very many people will stay for a week and have 10 or 12 bottles of wine store and the wine cooler if it was removed it would be a lot more room in the kitchen but other than that everything else was great

Will not stay there again in Trailer Park Alley
We had not gotten there and got our things in the house the owners showed up! We were a late arrival. and was trying to see where we were all going. They showed up with Barstools and going to blow leaves. We feel that they were being noisy. Did not like the fact the house was dirty. and not kept up!

We came for my sons USMC graduation
The house was great for what we needed and owners are very helpful and close by if you need anything. There’s a historic stone fort just across street with beautiful views of the water and a little walk down to the beach. It’s so quiet and you can hear sounds of a canon going off at Parris island. I felt like I truly was transported back to a different time in history . It’s absolutely beautiful with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees and just the tranquility was so amazing.
The house was clean and again the owners very helpful if you need anything. I’d go back again.

Absolutely by far the worst property we have ever stayed in
Infested filthy dangerous conditions and a health hazard to stay at this property we did send our family members home after the first day this property is NOT anything like the pictures on VRBO and I will be filing a consumer protection suit against the owners of this property along with a complaint to the Beaufort County health dept EQA

Great Home on a unique island
This is an older home that could use some updating and maintenance, but the owner is fabulous and responds immediately to problems/questions, the location is excellent…rent the golf cart to go back-and-forth to the beach about two blocks away. Fort Fremont, beach and island itself are incredibly unique.

Great
This worked well for us as overflow housing for our family reunion.

Wonderful beach area, house needs attention
While the location is nice, and beach is quiet and inviting, the house does need attention. Most of the kitchen supplies are not usable (non stick pans peeling, very limited bowls), grill not properly maintained (hasn’t been cleaned causing huge flare-up). Multiple dead roaches found in upstairs bedrooms and game room and stained bedsheets. Ran into an issue with a local college film student stating the entire Fort was closed down due to a student film on two of our 3 days. Tried reaching out to owner regarding this to confirm as notification was supposed to have been made to residents. Received no response from owner on this inquiry.
Property is overgrown and not very well kept.
Beach area is nice and quiet. Kids got to swim with dolphins nearby. Overall an adequate place to stay but has the opportunity to be excellent.
