Very Comfortable cabin big enough for 16 of us plus 2 dogs. The view is amazing!!! King beds & a bath room for each bedroom were great! The kitchen had a number of dishes and tools as well as a two drawer extra fridge and an ice maker. Needed a space for food storage. All had fun in the game room from 7 to 76 years. We saw bears! One with 3 cubs as we began up the mountain. Another bear & cub decided to join us at the fire pit. Our son in law saw her coming so we all were able to grab smores & run into the cabin! We were close to Gatlinburg & other places. Thanks for everything!

We were originally supposed to have access to the rental at 4pm, but received a call at 3:30pm informing us that the cleaning was running late. They mentioned that the house would not be ready until 4:30pm, but unfortunately, it wasn't actually ready until 6pm.
Upon our arrival at 7pm, the cleaning team was still present. If they had a banjo, one would have thought they were part of a remake of Deliverance.
Although the beds were comfortable and the house was spacious, it was in dire need of a thorough cleaning and remodeling. In the same area, there are better options available at a lower cost.

We had such a great time at Deer Path Lodge.
Loved the extra refrigerator and the ice maker. We enjoyed that we could all sit at the table together to eat and play games.
The beds were very comfy and it was great that we each had our own bedroom.
Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with rain and wind. But it was great that we could all be together in one place talking and laughing…..
Having a great time.

Absolutely amazing, it was everything I had hoped for and more! The lodge was just awesome. I can’t even imagine the scenic views and the wildlife we were able to take in. We had multiple visitors from the family of bears! That was just the great

Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen and game room, beautiful scenery and overlook, big deck with plenty of chairs, fabulous propane fire pit, spacious bedrooms with king size beds and full bathrooms. Most importantly there was a large dining room table where we could all sit together and share meals and stories and play games.

Property was as described. Fantastic view. We had power outages due to severe cold weather - rolling black outs. Host stayed in communication throughout. Ended up not being a big deal but the communication was appreciated.

The cabin was clean and roomy. It is bigger than it looks in the pictures. It had plenty of space for the 13 of us. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and shuffle board. The adults enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the wrap around deck to have their coffee and reminisce. The views are breathtakingly beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed. We lost count of the number of bears we saw…a mother and her cub walked across the front porch in front of the kitchen table window while we were eating breakfast. What a sight!

It would have helped if there was a notebook that contained information on how to use hot tub, fire pit, etc.

Property was perfect for large family gathering. We enjoyed it all...the game room, the comfy sofas, the hot tub, the fire pit. You absolutely have to be bear aware, but the views are amazing

As a frequent traveler and home share renter, I am sometimes nervous about renting big homes that can be used and abused by large groups of people. While Dancing Bear Lodge is a 6 bed, 6 bath home and can sleep more than 15 people, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, comfortable and welcoming the home was for our group. From handwritten welcome notes and gifts, to a sparkling clean home, to some of the most comfortable beds I have slept on, the home was just perfect. The outdoor spaces were plentiful and the views were incredible. Our group of 10 adults and 2 children were very at home and enjoyed every minute of the stay. We saw a mama black bear and her 3 cubs each of the 5 days we were there....some days they walked right up on the porch! They were so cute! The grounds were lovely as well.
We enjoyed time in the National Park and Dollywood (30 minutes away for each), s'mores by the fire and family dinners/game night at the large table. I also triumped over a few shuffleboard games!
We were so impressed with the house overall and highly recommend.

Wonderful and very well equipped kitchen.
We all had a great time. The beds were very comfortable. The fire pit was awesome and so nice to turn on with a switch. No smoke or firewood to deal with. The only complaint was the downstairs was cold. The owners should have a space heater or an additional unit to control the downstairs. Would be nice to have a bit more cabinet space in the kitchen Crowe our condiments and food. Overall, great house!!

Snow, Beautiful view, spacious cabin.
We rented this cabin after searching tirelessly for a cabin to have a small wedding celebration. We wanted enough bedrooms to have our closest family and friends stay in, a great view, and also a floor plan that was spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable up moving around. Me and my husband got married on 10/10/20 but due to covid and our schedules, we weren't able to have a wedding ceremony or any type of celebration. So that's why we wanted to take this trip. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was stocked fairly well with dishes and utensils, bathrooms had plenty of towels, and the cabin was very clean. My only complaints were the dishwasher that didn't clean very well and there was only one trash bag provided for such a large cabin and 3-4 day stay. It snowed the day we arrived and into the night, making for a beautiful weekend. The pool table was a big hit for the adults and the kids loved the shuffle board! If we ever need a cabin this size again, we will definitely be booking another stay here!

Everything and More
The beds are spectacular. The kitchen is so well equipped I won’t have to move my kitchen next year. The only thing I would change is larger TV in den because we are football fans and like to be together and light over kitchen sink. This is a 5 Star cabin & then some. BEAUTIFUL VIEW. Best we’ve had in 12 years.

Overall a good stay, some issues.
Overall we had a good stay, 12 adults and 7 kids and we were all comfortable. Cabin has a nice layout and the views are great. Driveway is easy to get in and out of and the area is nice. Check-in would be better if they would text you the door code rather than having to drive to office, the office wasn't that far from cabin though. Here are a few of the issues we had. The pull out beds in the couch and the daybeds were filthy when opened. We had to give a good vacuuming to even consider using I'm talking pretzels, chips and other food (shouldn't have to do this for $980/night). The cleanliness in the rest of the cabin was acceptable.
There was only one community pool and it's a good 10 min. drive to get there, it wasn't too bad. Pool area was clean and nice. However, in the pool area there's NO alcohol allowed, so if you like to have a cold beer sitting by the pool forget that. Security guard made us leave for the entire day for having four beers in the cooler, said if we came back that day we'd go to jail...LOL. I guess they mean it. He said the cabin owners are really cracking down in that neighborhood. It's completely fine and I'm okay with them having that right to do that I just wish they would put that in the disclaimers so we can choose to rent there or not.

Nice house for larger groups
House has a great layout. The game area was a big hit on rainy days. We also enjoyed seeing the bear and turkeys walking around the area. Communication wasn’t great with the check in process, but we did get checked in on time. Kitchen was well stocked...the ice maker and 2 ovens was great! Two community pools, but one is not working and the working one was a 10 minute drive. A few minor cleaning issues (some dusty furniture, griddle not clean and feet turn black when walking on the carpet - could be from recent nearby fire). Only minor issues...
We would stay in this house again.

Beautiful view
Beautiful view. High up. Mother-in-law had bear encounter by front porch when Mama Bear and cubs looking for food in garbage cans. Accommodated our group of 13 comfortably. Bring bug spray! Wraparound porch had plenty of seating. Expedited precheckin process more involved and should be included in cost as it was not convenient. But any issue we had (wifi password not updated in paperwork, stopped up bath drain and leaky filter system resulting in wet carpet in game room) was attended to quickly. The Food City grocery on the parkway between cabin location and Gatlinburg the best to go to and closest for all needs. Overall great stay just a little far up mountain on winding paved roads.
