PINE CONE POINT is a completely renovated camp located in the Adirondack Park on beautiful Brantingham Lake. Built in 1897 as one of the original Adirondack camps on the lake, Pine Cone Point has been renovated in the Adirondack style with knotty pine interior and peeled log supports. A stone wood burning fireplace in the living room and Adirondack décor complete that feeling you’re looking for on your North country vacation. The camp is fully insulated and heated. The first floor has a large kitchen with vaulted ceiling, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes and silverware and just about anything you can think you would find in a well-equipped kitchen. Additionally, on the first floor there is a large living room and dining area. The living room has cable TV, DVD player, and a small library of movies on DVD. The living room leads to a 300 square foot screened porch via three sets of glass French doors which offer a beautiful view of the lakefront. The screened porch has plenty of furniture for lounging and playing games and also a second dining area to seat your entire group.
The second floor has a sleeping loft and two bedrooms. The sleeping loft has a double bed and a bunk bed. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has one double bed as well as one single bed. The updated bathroom is located on the second floor and has a glass shower stall with sink/vanity and medicine cabinet.
There is a two-person hammock and outdoor fire pit lakeside. Pine Cone Point has 180 feet of private water frontage and two docks. The first dock has a beautiful view of the lake while the second dock faces the bay and is a great location for docking your boat. There is a large shallow swimming area (1 - 2 feet) which graduates to deeper water with a floating swim raft. We supply a canoe and kayaks for renter’s usage. Additionally, there is a gas grill, picnic table and best of all NO STAIRS leading down to the waters edge which makes it ideal for the elderly and young children in your party.
The area is filled with wildlife including deer, ducks, loons, raccoon, chipmunks, squirrels and even the occasional moose, eagle or black bear can be seen. Great hiking and horse trails nearby along Otter Creek and the lake is stocked with Bass, pan fish and both Brown and Rainbow Trout. Perfect lake for water skiers, tubing and kayaking.
Plenty of parking and the boat launch is less than a minute away. Great restaurants and an historic 18 hole golf course less than a mile away. There is an old time Drive in theater which still operates throughout the summer 5 minutes away and Snow Ridge Ski Resort is only 10 minutes away. We are located right on the lake and the snowmobile trail system.
Security Camera onsite - Outdoor ONLY.

Even though we started the week off with crazy rain, we had a wonderful visit. Many fun family memories were made… family game night, campfires, kayaking, fishing, swimming. We ended with an aerial show over the lake courtesy of some F-39s. The location of this rental was perfect.

A great, great cabin in the Adirondacks!
Thank you for sharing this very special place ....

This property is a nice location on a beautiful lake. There is activity on the lake, but it’s just enough to not feel alone and not too busy. Alger Falls was a great moderate level hike for us and Old Forge was a beautiful drive for some local shopping. The description is accurate of the accommodations. The host is very responsive.

We had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with our family. The cottage was extremely clean, provided all of the essentials that we would need, and was the perfect little spot for our weekend getaway. Hoping to come back in the summertime when we can truly enjoy the lake and all it has to offer. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Brantingham is a hidden gem. Pine Cone point is a hidden diamond. We are so grateful to be able to have stayed again. It’s immaculate and well maintained. From the Adirondack chairs by the fire to the reclining chairs on the sunny deck. We will look to reserve again.

Overall the camp was great. We had 7 people for two of the 5 nights we stayed. Four were grand kids ages 1-14. They had a blast. Upstairs was the one bathroom and 3 bedrooms. We really didn't have a problem with the one bathroom as people woke up at different times, etc. The 2 decks were great as the one next to the boathouse had shallow water. My grandson did nothing but fish for 2 days. The other dock had a great view of the lake. Downstairs there was plenty of room inside and on the large screened in porch. The Fire pit was awesome. I went golfing twice which was a mile or so down the road. We took a kid friendly hike down Blueberry trail which is located within the roads around the lake and went to Alger Falls for half a day to break things up. The weather was great for us so that was a plus. The Kitchen was well supplied and the dishwasher was a huge plus. We all thought the beds were decent, but we have been campers for years. We would definitely come back as everyone had a good time. I want to give kudos to Todd for refunding the $18 that I spent on the propane tank exchange for the gas grill. One other thought, make sure you bring plenty of supplies, food, drinks, wood, water, etc. There are not a lot of close store options available.

A spacious and comfortable camp. Our kids loved swimming and kayaking. We fished and our son caught his first fish from the dock.

Great setting
This camp has a great setting and the living area is very nice. the fire pit was great and the docks on the water were very nice. Owners were responsive via email through VRBO. My only complaint is the beds and bedrooms. Although the description depicts "small bedrooms" they are very small where you can't even walk around the beds. Additionally, the beds were all very uncomfortable so not a good nights rest all week, that was disappointing. When on vacation I look forward to a good nights sleep, that was impossible for any of us. My recommendation to the owners would be to replace the beds. I will not return to the camp due to the lack of sleep.

Relaxing getaway
Lovely waterfront cabin...very peaceful and relaxing. Only negative would be to bring your own blankets. Some are provided, but rather old and well-used. We loved the cabin, the outdoor space...having two docks to choose from was cool. :) Nice people in the neighborhood too. We would definitely go back!

Annual Brantingham Lake Trip
This was my third year renting this property and just like in the past, it did not disappoint. We have gotten lucky with the weather, so we were able to once again enjoy everything this camp has to offer. Email directions/instructions make checking in and out a breeze and Todd was very responsive with questions/comments throughout our stay. We look forward to booking next year's trip. Thanks again for a relaxing weekend!

Gorgeous property
Overall, a five star stay, as the “issues” we had, really weren’t issues, just us being picky. So yes, this property gets the five star rating from us!
This property is not at all private, but you get feeling that it is because it is surrounded by trees. The waterfront location is amazing. Two docks made our fishing contests more fun! The fire pit being close to the water is a big perk also. Those sunrises are pretty amazing when sitting out on the ever so comfy poly wood chairs. Nice addition! The use of kayaks was a bonus. Inside, the updates of knotty pine are beautiful. The wood burning fireplace was a big plus for those cold June nights (it seems crazy to say that!). Well stocked kitchen and lots of games for a rainy day. The screened in porch is large and accommodating. The beds were not very comfortable but that may just be us compared to what we are used to. Not a deal breaker. The only bathroom being upstairs was definitely an inconvenience but it was an inconvenience we knew of ahead of time and still decided to stay at Todd’s place. The stairs are rather narrow and steep so definitely may not be for everyone but we managed. The neighbors two places down were quite noisy and the boat traffic was a little crazy for such a small lake but it isn’t anything we haven’t dealt with at other properties that we’ve stayed at. Overall, we loved our stay very much and cannot wait to come back one day.

A nice spot
Amazing location right on the water. Super clean cabin huge sun room with big fans. The owner also provides a ton of small fans for air flow. The only thing I'll mention is they mention there's no linens. I which also means no dish towel, wash clothes, hand towels, and bedding like sheets. The owner is kind enough to provide pillows (no cases) and light quilts. Great spot.

Wonderful stay in Adirondacs
The house is beautifully renovated and very clean. Situated in a vacation community but trees around and the shape of the property give some privacy. The lake has sandy bottom and looks like would be a wonderful place to swim in summer.
Amazing level of communication from the host. In his email prior to our stay he covered everything.
We're looking forward to rent this property again.

Annual Snowmobile Weekend
We make an annual trek to either Old Forge or Tug Hill. This location and cottage was definitely one of our best experiences. The cottage was cozy and had a great Adirondack vibe to it. Bedrooms are comfortable and functional. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy your evening relaxing in front of the TV after an enjoyable day on the trails.
