Jody and Mark were gracious hosts and they made us feel right at home. Special details were provided to us from walking us through the rental and showing us where everything was to making fresh homemade banana bread cupcakes! The rental unit was very comfortable with clean sheets, towels and all of the necessities needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. We had a wonderful staying at this lovely home for our son's CalPoly graduation. We highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to stay at a serene and peaceful environment that feels like home.

The location is beautiful and serene (the deer greeting us every morning were wonderful) and very close to Paso Robles, the wineries, a Trader Joe's and two good coffee places. The host, Jody, was very attentive and a great communicator. Thank you!

Perfect location! Such a beautiful house tucked away in a relaxing, scenic setting. Jody is a super host who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed from wifi, yummy treats and necessities to all the homey touches. She kept in touch with us throughout our stay all the while a busy weekend herself with her son’s wedding. Such a super host. We would definitely stay again.

Jody was so welcoming and quick to respond to questions. She had fresh baked brownies waiting for us, and stocked the refrigerator with a few breakfast staples. The location was absolutely beautiful and peaceful…we loved seeing many deer just outside our windows. Very comfortable rooms, the home is located about 10 minutes from the freeway, making it easy to head into Paso and Cambria

This rental is adorable! Very well decorated. Not easy to find if you use Google, so follow her fantastic directions. Jody is a wonderful hostess and has great communication. She included baked goodies for us which was a nice touch. This is a country setting. Nice and quiet.
It should be noted that this unit is not accessible for those with mobility issues. There is a steep staircase to the main living quarters. Also there are only bathtubs for bathing. No walk in showers.
It was very hot when we stayed and the air conditioning wasn't able to keep us cooled. The units either were programmed to turn off after a certain time or they were being manually turned off when we left.
Keep in mind this location is 1.5 miles up a single lane road. If you plan to come and go frequently, this might be an issue.

In short, this property is amazing! It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, just 20-30 minutes from the beach or Paso Robles. Our hosts were incredible and made sure to make our stay the best it could be and even provided us with some breakfast foods for our first morning. Highly recommend the stay, it may seem a little out of the way, but the truly wonderful and amazing hosts make it beyond worthwhile.

We arrived to discover this beautiful Vicortian home in a forest like setting and to our host Jody Landon greeting us at the front porch. The home and surrounding area was beautiful. We had several occasions to converse with Jody and her husband and found them to be incredibly nice. They were very accommodating and gracious. Our group consisted of two couples and we intend to make this trip an annual event and to stay at their home. Thank you Jody and Mark for an unforgettable trip.

Quiet apartment in the Woods
Very quiet, great communication from Jody from booking until finishing the stay. Fantastic views from the porch and very friendly dogs Bailey and Charley. Will definitely do this again.

Everything we expected and more. The home is beautiful, spacious and we felt very welcomed by the owners. Very close to wineries, Jody was very helpful and recommended a few wineries since it was our first time going wine tasting. (She even gifted us a few wine passes!!!!) Jody and her husband greeted us and gave us a tour of where we would be staying. They were available and were quick to respond as they live in the main home displayed in the listing. The booking was not for the entire home, but for one wing
connected to the properly. Attached to the right of the home, similar to a mother in law house. We felt very comfortable, our family had our own space and beautiful views from the property.
We will definitely book this beautiful home again.

California scenery
We needed a place to stay for our son-in-law's Cal Poly graduation. It was just the right place to serve all of our needs, but with the bonus of wonderful hosts and such a beautiful California scenery. We even got to see some turkey chicks!

Beautiful Spot for a Paso Robles Getaway
Jody was the best host and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay in Paso Robles. There is an idyllic drive up to their home, where you are likely to see deer grazing along the way and in their yard.
We loved the layout of their VRBO wing of the house with its separate entrance and coded entry. The bedroom and bath downstairs are roomy and well-appointed. The upstairs bedroom, bath and family area with its bonus sleeping options worked well for our group.
From the fresh flowers to the unexpected items waiting for our enjoyment in the fridge, everything about this home made us feel very welcome.
We found that almost everything we wanted to do in Paso Robles was within a 20 minute drive.
If you love hiking, we recommend checking out the Black Hills trail at Morro Bay State Park. The views are gorgeous!
We hope to return to Paso Robles in the future and would love the opportunity to stay in this home again. Thanks Jody and Mark!

10 Star property!!!!
My husband and I just got back from staying two nights at this wonderful property in Templeton. The stay exceeded our expectations on so many levels! This apartment is absolutely adorable, comfortable, inviting, and stocked with whatever you might need. The communication from the booking thru the end of the stay was great and appropriate. I enjoyed getting a hand written welcome card with contact information in case we needed anything and to top it off, little mini cupcakes! Jody and Mark thouht of absolutely everything to make a guest feel totally at home. Stay at this property, you will not be disappointed.

Terrific, tranquil getaway for my family
Our family of 4 was looking for a nice, peaceful getaway spot to explore the central coast as well as the Paso Robles area... Jody & Mark’s place was a perfect fit. Setback in the woods a bit, it offered just enough seclusion to be away from things but also close enough to get everywhere we wanted to go. Jody was one of the most accommodating hosts I’ve experienced with our VRBO rentals. Many thanks to her for going the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one.
Thank you! We’ll for sure be back another time.

Adorable
Our family had a really nice experience. It felt like we were staying in a remote tree house. There’s deer and peacocks roaming the property as you drive up the hill. We explored around the woods nearby (all on the owners property) and it felt like we were camping, but with all the hotel type amenities (hot water, kitchen, TV). It couldn’t have been more relaxing actually. It was so peaceful and quite. Loved it.

Perfect Weekend
Challenging to find, but worth the effort. Very comfortable and clean in a great location for a weekend of wine tasting. Accommodations are very private. Great property and surroundings including plenty of wildlife turkeys and deer in the yard.

A Memorable Time
Everything about our stay was wonderful. Jody and Mark are some of most helpful and gracious hosts we've met. They made everything about our stay with elderly parents easy and comfortable. Their home is beautiful and the environment was amazing. We especially enjoyed the wildlife and the beautiful porch and outdoors area around the house. Definitely a top-notch place to visit and stay!

Perfection
My husband and I and a dear friend stayed here over Mother's Day and the property far exceeded our expectations. The owners were warm & welcoming from the minute I first inquired about the property. They had a cute chalk board welcoming us when we arrived, and Jody toured us through the property to show us all of the features. The setting was idyllic - it sits on the top of a hill with amazing views in every direction. We were so glad we opted for a more secluded property rather than staying in downtown Paso. An extra 5 minute drive gave us an entirely different world. We loved sitting outside watching the stars and the wildlife (deer, turkeys & owls). The home was beautifully decorated and our rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Jody gave us delicious scones & chocolate banana bread, and the fridge stocked with juice, cream and a few other breakfast items. They truly thought of everything their guests might need or want... there were umbrellas, blankets for sitting outside, a picnic basket, games, movies, books...all the comforts of home. There was even a tree swing! We highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back.

Great place in Templeton
This place is wonderful. Beautiful house with plenty of room, very well maintained, has everything you need. The location is quiet and secluded out in the country. Jody couldn't be nicer. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer., but we just didn't have the time this trip.

Great Location
I had only one disappointment. The Kitchenette was a bit more sparse than we would have liked .It did prevent us from really enjoying the advantages of cooking in at least a little bit during our stay. It has been the custom of this raveling foursome to eat in during our other VRBO stops.
While the location was not remote. But are limited food choices in the immediate adjacent area. So we would have liked to not drive out for all the meals.
Otherwise sweet hosts, beautiful spot to relax.

Beautiful, peaceful and charming
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being out in the country. It was very peaceful. It was cool to see the wild turkies and deer. The layout of the apartment was perfect for 2 couples.
Thank you Jody for providing muffins, cookies and other breakfast items. We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed our conversation. Next time we will join you and Mark for wine on the patio when the weather gets warmer. 😊

Very comfortable, great host!
We stayed at this property in Templeton while in town for a wedding. The owner was very easy to communicate with, straight forward and accommodating. We ended up arriving much later than anticipated and she waited for us and showed us around the rental to make sure we knew how to lock the doors, turn on the AC, etc. She even baked us muffins and cookies as a welcome! The beds were very comfortable and all five of us had a very comfortable stay. The property was easily accessible from the freeway. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing, serene, peaceful and charming!
My BFFS and I stayed here for our annual "girls weekend". Jody and Mark were the best hosts! They had fresh baked banana bread and a plate of oatmeal cookies for us! Also, she stocked the fridge with a dozen eggs! We had so much fun and the location is so close to Paso Robles, SLO, and Cayucos! We've gone to Cambria the past two years so we thought we'd try something different. I am so blessed to have met Jody...what a gem! You will have to sit on their front porch...this was such a treat!!!! They turned on the lights for us and told us not to worry about the "noise"....but we did our best to be respectful. If you need a place to stay while in town for a weekend definitely book this place!

Great place!
We loved this rental and only wished we could have stayed longer. It’s just as beautiful as the pictures show and absolutely immaculate. So nice to be out in the peaceful countryside with gorgeous views, wildlife, and a million stars at night, yet only 20min from wineries, spas, and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, there was lots of room to relax and the small kitchen was very well stocked for breakfast! Jody and Mark couldn’t have been nicer - friendly and attentive to our needs, yet very respectful of privacy too. We couldn’t have asked for more. We’d love to go back sometime.
