This little guest house is full of charm, originally built as an art studio for the original owner of the main house. The host does a wonderful job of having everything you might need there. The house is well appointed. She is exceptionally friendly and is right there if you have any problems. Highly recommend

My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here - just enough for our needs for an overnight stay in a comfortable place where we could spread out just a little. Everything was clean and exactly as advertised. Our host Vana was super helpful guiding us the whole way and providing everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

Perfect place to stay while exploring Lake Lure and the area around the Tryon International Equestrian Center!
Clean, cozy, comfortable cottage, close to town, but removed just enough to provide to provide privacy and relaxation.
Beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bath were well appointed. We had a great stay and would definitely visit again!

This cottage was absolutely perfect! From its cool history to the nicest host on the planet, we loved our stay. The cottage has so much character. The photos on VRBO do not do it justice. The setting was gorgeous and the lighting bugs put on quite a show for us! We ordered takeout and sat outside the cottage for dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept so well. We highly recommend and will hopefully be back!

Great communications, easy check in, thoughtful little snacks, very clean, and deer grazing is what you can expect here. We would stay again says it all!

Spotless, charming cottage on spectacular grounds. The owners were the nicest hosts. It was a true pleasure to meet them. We will definitely return!

The cottage is so well appointed and easy to operate inside - the hosts thought of everything anyone might need. We loved the historic nature of the place and Vana was the most gracious host as well as her husband who kindly helped us with our bags. The location is wonderful, so close to town you could walk! We can't wait to go back!

A very sweet cottage in a lovely town, Tryon NC. My friend is a fan of Nina Simone and that was the draw for us. However, we found beautiful waterfalls to visit and excellent shops and galleries to wander.

We loved our stay!! Our host was so thoughtful, and anticipated our every need. A lovely charming spot with a wonderful collection of books. Poetry verses scattered throughout to make you appreciate your stay even more. The bed was extremely comfortable, and great water pressure in the shower. Thank you Vana. We would love to return!!

The old cottage is lovely and so comfortable. The host added nice personal touches and was very welcoming. The location was great for us to attend a wedding downtown. We breakfast at a marvelous French bakery. Wished we could stay longer!

This guest house was just as advertised. Perfect for the 2 of us as we attended a Bluegrass festival at the nearby equestrian center. Bed was super comfy. Sidewall Pizza is nearby and that was a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in this cottage at least four times now. With all the traveling I do, this is still the most comfortable bed anywhere! The cottage is perfect for 1-2 adults and 1-2 (8 years+) well behaved kids (not a lot of space for kiddo energy). It's private, quiet, charming/romantic, and in a wonderful location with a GREAT book selection and Smart TV (Roku/Hulu, etc.). The cottage is perfect every time of year, but I prefer it in the fall/winter because I love the fireplace and the mountain view from the bed when the leaves have cleared a bit. The hostess is always fantastic. As far as things to improve, I'm going to offer the same comments I always do: 1) As the write-up honestly states, this is not for folks with mobility issues. I'm 41 with no mobility issues, but I'm overweight, and getting up and down those very uneven steps every day was treacherous, especially with luggage. Not a big deal, but if I travel alone again, I'll pack lighter! 2) The kitchen is well equipped for mini-fridge/microwave stays or if you plan to eat out, but it's pretty limited for cooking full meals based on what items are available for use and the fact that the oven doesn't work. I'm always hoping to find a fixed or new oven, or at least a toaster oven, especially during the holidays. The cottage screams make cookies here! 3) The ceiling fan still makes a LOT of noise and the skylight is lovely 50% of the time, but it really would be nice to put an electric shade on it so that people can nap (would also cool the place down in the summer without having to run so much AC). I'd pay more for the cottage to have these fixes/upgrades. Until next time!

Really nice cottage. We like to go up to Tryon twice a year and be close to town. Walking distance to restaurants. Comfy bed. All the things we needed in the kitchen. Thank you!

We loved our stay in this cozy cottage. We were met by our host upon arrival. She, and her husband, were amazing.
The cottage is so cute and well stocked (if you forgot anything, don’t
worry… it is probably
provided 🤗) . We enjoyed an incredibly peaceful stay with no outside noises. A quaint path led straight into downtown and many dining choices.
I can’t say enough how accommodating our hosts were. We welcome the opportunity to return in the near future!

Adorable place
We greatly enjoyed the place. Very cute and love the windows and light in the building. Cutely decorated.
The only suggestion would be a power strip of some kind close to the bed so we didn't have to unplug the alarm clock to charge the phone at night and use it for an alarm.

This Cottage is Charming and Comfortable, Elegantly Appointed with Biltmore Estate Bedding yet simplistic with attention to detailed in the Original Architectural Design. Love the provenance that it has stayed family owned since it was hand built as an artist studio. Perfect location, just up the hill from the Fine Arts Center, shops and restaurants of Tryon. You are right next to town but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Fun star watching at night. Vana was wonderful with communicating information about our reservation.
