The place worked great for us (me, wife, 18 son). We didn’t have time to vacation as we were looking for a house and cars after returning from several years in Japan. The climate is great and the owners dog “Rose” is a friend to all. This was much better than a hotel. Thanks Sandy.

I can't recommend this location enough. It's close to San Diego and Temecula, it's gorgeous, the owner is super nice. My spouse and I felt immediately at home. The only noise was birds and the occasional helicopter. Super peaceful, and stores and restaurants a short 10m drive away. Absolutely lovely.

The owner is on site and a wonderful lady you might see her out walking her dog or keeping this property a magnificent fairy tale garden there are numerous hidden seating areas and the veiw of the mountains poolside are pretty great.

It was easy to settle in and to navigate the property, the area and the multiple other cities and now with min a 50-mile radius.
The hostess is a creative, kind, energetic lady who works tirelessly to maintain an amazing property and to present the hilighta of the community and nearby towns. She even took us on 2 lovely tours and treated us to lunch.
The only downside was that the pool is not heated and we.stayed too early in the year for it to be useable. The pool was a real bonus to me in booking this venue. However, I should not have assumed.
Over all, a truly lovely space and perfect for honeymooners!

We spent 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. There were several paths to walk with beautiful views. Also, many areas where you could sit. The outside was festive with lights hung all around. It was too cold to swim but would be an ideal location for the summer. We would definitely return.

Sandra was the best host ever we felt like we were home not staying at someone’s else’s house. It was a great setting and so relaxing. Sandra always was ready to help us where ever I needed. Best ever!

I do not even know where to start. I booked this getaway to be alone with my dog to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of my city on my birthday/valentine weekend. The host was very nice and responsive at first. I had booked 3 nights from Friday to Monday. I was honestly really needing this getaway and looked forward to it. I arrived around 8:30 pm on Friday. The weather was freezing and it was rainy. The place was cold. Sandra showed me around and explained to me the rules of the stay. She was very specific about not leaving the heater on during the night and other important information. The place is a little outdated but ok. She has many rules to be followed. However, she does not like you to turn on the heater and even lowered the hot water temperature. My stayed was HORRIBLE as I was freezing all night and couldn't even take a warm shower to warm up. She has one tiny, cheap single heater that is not even enough to warm up the bathroom. I was so uncomfortable, cold, and unable to do anything about it in the middle of the night that I decided to get out of there as early as I could. I was not able to rest all night due to the cold weather and lack of hot water. I was up most of the night so I decided to get up at 6am and got out of there the next morning. I informed Sandra that due to the inconvenience of not having hot water or heating I was not able to stay there any longer. She apologized and insisted that I should have told her. However, this would mean that I would have woken her up any where between 1-5am. As a guest I did not feel comfortable going out there in the middle of the morning to knock on her door. Hot water and heating are essential and a host should provide them without refraining from what this could cost. She emailed me apologizing and say she would refund me the two nights I did not use. However, she has now had a change of heart and is refusing to do so. She claims that her policy does not allow for refunds. I completely understand this should this had been a problem I had cause or I decided to not use my stay for other reasons. I feel it is the responsibility of the host to make sure that their guests have the basic essentials for a comfortable stay. This was an issue caused by the host and now she refuses to offer me a refund for the two nights. I was kind enough to accept two nights when in reality she should be refunding me for the entire stay as my night was horrible due to her being so cheap.

Nice getaway
Sandra is extremely accommodating and allowed us to drop off food prior to check-in. We love to cook, but, I would say that pots and pans definitely need to be upgraded. Absolutely beautiful scenery, so make sure to take some amazing pictures. You really don't need to leave the home, since the property is 2.7 acres. I definetly recommend the stay.

Birthday get away
Sandra (owner) has a fab home in one of my favorite places, Fallbrook. She is quite an artist as shown all over her beautiful home in her own artwork. I hosted my 75th birthday party there and everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the wonderful views from the backyard. The house is set high in one of the lovely hill/valley areas. We had various family members and friends stay throughout the week with rave reviews. It was an exceptionally hot week, but thankfully Sandra has an excellent a/c system and we were always comfortable. We had our two fur babies with us and the yard worked very well.

A perfectly wonderful week!
We spent a wonderful week in this cozy, quiet, apartment surrounded by beautiful flowers and walking paths. We have never rented a more secluded and private place, yet one which was so easy to get to. Sandra had the place stocked with everything a person could possibly want, and everything worked perfectly. We heartily recommend this place to anyone looking for a really peaceful and private rental.

In a word.......HOMEY
In our opinion this is one of the best VRBO's out there. We felt completely welcome and relaxed. The property has that "country, laid back" feel and is kept really clean and functional. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to simulate a home. Truly is your "home away from home". The bed is so comfortable it's hard to get out of! Oh yeah, the house is very spacious too. Sandra will accommodate your every need and is really nice. The mint's next to the bed, flower in a vase in the bathroom and the little "Ben & Jerry's" ice cream in the freezer were all nice touches. We will be staying here again and look forward to that very much. It is one of Fallbrook's greatest secrets. We recommend this guest cottage highly. We give it and Sandra both 5 stars! Even though it is attached to the main house it is very private and comfortable. Even our dog's felt at home! We are so thankful to have found it. Thank you Sandra for your consideration and hospitality. See you again really soon!

The 2+ acres was very nice. The pool are was wonderful, even though too cold to swim when we were there. The Guest House had everything that was needed.

Absolutely fantastic!!!
It was better then we ever could have imagined. Better then any 5 star hotel by far. Plenty of room, our dog had the best time of his life chasing the bunnies. We grilled out by the pool, watched the sunrise, ate dinner outside. Could not have been a better vacation.

home away from home
Me and my partner stayed here for a wedding and we couldn't be more happy with the stay. Sandra was the best host, very warm, welcoming, and full of great tips for traveling around California.
If we are every back in the area we will stay here again.

What a great place to stay!
The Guest house is a little piece of heaven! It is fully stocked, very clean and well maintained. There is a small picnic table outside to sit and have a glass of wine and cheese. The Pool and decking are very well maintained and the outside grounds are just amazing. Very well kept and quite. This is a great place to stay for a long weekend if you just want to get away.

holiday rental
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sandy's; initially booked for a month, however decided to tag on an additional ten days there. Felt right at home from the moment of arrival, Sandy was a gracious host, was a good source of information, and felt like we were leaving a friend when our stay was up. We travelled in all directions with a rental car from Sandy's place, good location, quiet dead end street. The rental suite had everything we needed;clean, private, all appliances in good working order. Would definitely recommend Sandy's place when visiting the area, lots to see and do within an hours drive or less in all directions.

First Visit January 2014
What a beautiful relaxing place to stay! Everything was absolutely wonderful, relaxing, vista views, and great hospitality. The location is close to San Diego, Oceanside and other local spots for all to enjoy. I personally think the amenities were spot on and will definitely come back to enjoy the place once again.
