Great location, beautiful view, we enjoyed the pond and kayaking, and the gardens! Raspberries were ripe - what a treat. Downstairs was spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms are small but fully adequate and all have cross breeze. Wish I had known the fridge and oven are not full size - would have adjusted my plans a bit. Outside Grill worked great. Communication with owner was positive and responsive. Overall a positive experience and we would stay here again.

This home is true to its name, so peaceful yet in walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the kayaks and SUP, the wild raspberries, and open kitchen and family room. It was a great jumping off point to visit all the Olympic sites, high peaks, Wilmington flume, and downtown restaurants and shops. We were lucky enough to enjoy the free music venue in the park on Mirror lake (Tuesday evenings). We would definitely stay again!

This was the second major stop on our family roadtrip and it was just right. The house had plenty of room for our family of 5 to stretch out and relax, and came equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We’re enjoyed the special touches in the decor that highlighted the Olympics. We were only there for three nights, and with all the exploring we did of the area (and a day trip to Montreal), we really didn’t get to enjoy the pond activities much. The view of the pond from the house was perfect, though. During our stay, there was construction going on at the property next door, but it didn’t really cause any issues. The workers were courteous, but did start work early. The communication with the hosts prior to our visit was good.

Great location close to all Lake Placid attractions. Very clean! House has all the necessities. Grill was clean and easy to use. Three adults each had clean spacious rooms. Nice having a bag of coffee and vacuum packed milk upon check-in. A/C would be nice on hot Summer days/ nights. Box and ceiling fans did help. Paddling in the kayaks was great! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We had a fantastic time at the home. We enjoyed all of the amenities, the view, and the walkability to town. It far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed kayaking on Mill Pond and saw 2 beavers. There were many baby ducklings that our youngest loved watching swim by. Overall great place!!

We celebrated a 40th anniversary with our kids here and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped, the living room large and loungy, and the sauna an added bonus. We didn't have time to try the watercraft but they looked great. We liked everything about the place.

Property was nice and clean, had a great time using the paddleboard. Definitely recommend the sauna after a day of hiking and activities.
For kitchen enthusiasts, there is a hidden vent hood over the stove. Glorious.
You can walk to town but they werent kidding when they said it was an uphill climb.

We traveled from different areas and met in Lake placid. The property had 3 bedrooms for the 3 couples. The facilities served our needs nicely. We especially enjoyed the sauna and a sit around the fire pit.

The six of us spent two nights at Terry's lovely house. We totally love it! The house was very clean. Sauna on the first floor was a pleasant surprise. The first floor of the house is thoughtfully arranged. Big kitchen made our breakfast cooking job easy and enjoyable. By the way the ground coffee Terry provided was excellent! (Terry, where did you get that?) Love the living room with a great view of the pond! We certainly took Terry's offer to use the 3 kayaks and a canoe to paddle around the pond after backing from our long hike. We even tried fishing, unfortunately with no luck of any catch. The view on the pond was fantastic and so memorable. We would love to come back again!

Wonderful experience. Well equipped home on a beautiful pond. Lake Placid is a nice place to visit. We ate out but loved the house.

Great communication with owner.
Access to the property was easy once we found the shared driveway. Quiet, tucked away little place with all the necessities and very close to the main area of town. Also a quick drive to Whiteface or the Olympic training facilities.
Stairs to the second floor and all the bedrooms are narrow and steep, that is my only caution for renting with children or elderly family
Enjoyed our stay, thank you very much!

Overall great stay at a nice LP location. Recommend graphite for door hinges, better mattresses/beds and bedrm luggage rack/foldout stands for suitcases. Trash cans for rooms. Recommend one king. Overall Aok but these would greatly improve comfort.

We had a fantastic time in Lake Placid. The kids had plenty to do in a safe environment. They spent a lot of time running around the front yard, fishing off the dock, and of course, playing with the nerf guns. We took evening trips out on the river with the kayaks that were provided at the house. The fire pit was also a hit at night. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was big enough to give us space as necessary. All in all, a great place to stay.

We loved the outside of the property: flowers, plants, Adirondack chairs, raspberry bushes, dock with a view of the serene Chubb pond.
Interior: clean, plush carpeting upstairs, spacious bathrooms, nice bedding, and large picture windows in the living room overlooking the pond.

This was a beautiful house in a beautiful spot. We stayed with 4 small children and there was plenty of room for them to play outside, since the house is not directly on the road this felt very safe. The very short path to the dock and pond was perfect and we kayaked several times since it was so convenient. It was a convenient walk to town and the Mirror lake beach that we spent some great time at. The main living area was quite roomy and comfortable for our whole family. There were lots of ceiling fans but on the warmer days it got kind of warm inside and needed the extra box fans that were provided. If sensitive to heat may be difficult without air conditioning. Overall a great place to stay and we had a wonderful time.

Fantastic location on a beautiful spot. We stayed here for Ironman, and this place provided plenty for older kids and adults to do. The pond is very pretty and calm. The house is not very infant friendly, as we have a 1 year old, but we knew this before arriving after emailing with the owner about what infant stuff we needed to bring. Terry did communicate well. Our 1 year old also enjoyed picking and eating the fresh, ripe raspberries.
Only a couple minor complaints:
The window blinds are paper thin, so we ended up using towels to block out the morning sun.
Also, there were no bathing washcloths, which is strange to me.
Finally, this is more of an FYI, but there is a portable A/C unit available that is loud, but gets the job done. It reached 93° one day, so we were thankful the A/C was there to use.
I wanted to give this house a higher review, because it is a great location on a beautiful spot, but the house is in need of some TLC (one of the windows fell in when my wife opened it because it's off its track, and the back door is very hard to open, close, and lock), minor updating (better window coverings in the bedrooms, and additional lamps), and a deep cleaning (look under the furniture).

Perfect walk to Lake Placid village, our older kids really enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. They had a great time with the nerf guns as well! Would stay here again.

The house was immaculate. The amenities were wonderful. As advertised the walk to town only takes about 10 minutes and the pond was great for many hours of relaxing on the dock, kayaking, and swimming. The water is shallow near the dock which is great for swimming kids.

We had a wonderful time staying here. We came for a lacrosse tournament and added on a few extra days to enjoy the area. The location is perfect. It only took us a few minutes to drive anywhere we wanted to go and it was about a 20 minute walk to downtown. We mostly drove and parked since we had a little one, which was never an issue. The house had everything we needed and we loved having the SUP and kayaks. We were on the pond everyday! Each morning we would see the groundhogs munching flowers in the yard, ducklings with their parents floating in the pond and lots of birds flying around. We even saw a deer walking through the yard one morning. Some of the restaurants we recommend are Lisa G’s (walking distance), Big Mountain Deli & Creperie, Soulshine Bagel Shop, Origin Coffee and The Cottage Restaurant. Thank you for a great week!!

We had a really great weekend with beautiful weather to enjoy the autumn foliage in LP! The house and property are an absolute gem, perfect location...so much to see and do. We enjoyed a camp fire, kayaking on the pond and having coffee on the deck while relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Very clean and comfortable and a sauna which we tried out of course!

There was no firewood for the fireplace and you pay a lot of money for a cleaning fee and they make you take the sheets off of all the beds.

My husband and I and our 2 friends had a beautiful time staying at this home belonging to Terry and Bridget... It's a very comfortable place and was just so relaxing resting on the deck or in the living room, staring out at the pond and listening to the birds sing! Communication was awesome and we truly had everything we needed for for a comfortable stay! I love the Lake Placid region and hope to stay in this cozy home again in the future!
