This house was located in a great area with lots of amenities. It was clean and very well stocked with most everything you need.

No bbq as advertised! We planned a family dinner and had to find another location to cook, which was very frustrating and not easy to bring all the food to another location. Also, the back yard is not accessible from inside the house in case, another bummer. The house itself was nice for what we needed though (note the carpet in the bedrooms are clearly stained from dogs potty) but the rooms and living room was nice and open.

Overall, the house was perfect!
Neither TV worked. The maintenance person showed the second day and said the main room one is broken, and the one in the bedroom is strictly for gaming/DVD’s; it was not hooked to cable. Unfortunately, my 85 year old mother depends on the TV to fall asleep so that wasn’t an ideal situation.

We enjoyed this place for a couple nights. Was well stocked for what we needed. Left early because we could not rock hound due to weather.

Very very accommodating and clean. Great location. Bed a little firm for the back. Maybe a TV in Master with cable would be a nice addition.

The house was very clean when we arrived and is in a great neighborhood and has beach access within walking distance. Check in and check was a breeze.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Everything was there to make our stay great. Would definitely stay again!

This house was super clean and had everything we needed. Convenient to the beach with a parking lot public access a short drive away. Notes all over with instructions but would have been nice to have a binder with everything in one place instead of all over. Entry keypad was hard to read and there were no instructions we found on how to lock it by putting the code in again when you leave the house. Really advise making this clear to be sure the home is kept safe and locked when no one is there.
Catering to dogs by having special towels and sheets labeled for dogs was a great addition
We managed to log in to our Prime Video and watch our own choices. But with several remotes some instructions would have been helpful.
The large fenced back yard was great but inconvenient that there is no entrance to the yard from inside the house so we had to be sure to be dressed to go out in order to take our dog out. Concern too that there was no second exit from the home in case of emergency. The hose out front to wash off sandy feet was great but there is a hose bid unused in the back yard and it would be good to have a hose there as well to easier hose off our dog’s feet. Surprised there was no seating at all in the back yard but that is our mistake not reading the listing more carefully.

My husband and I enjoyed this stay with our dog. The provided dog sheets were very helpful as well as the fenced back yard. It was very easy to walk right to the beach and had a little park right in front of it.it is a great location with all of the stores near by. Definitely doing this next year! :)

My friends and I loved your place! It was just the right fit too! Loved how it was simple yet with the high ceiling and windows it made the place seem huge! It was a plus that it was only minuets walk to the beach as well! I also loved that it was pet friendly as I brought my fur babies along. They sure enjoyed their stay too! Should I come back to Lincoln, I for sure will be staying there again!

Gorgeous place, with a nice, vaulted ceiling. Made it nice and cool inside without the need of an A/C. Trust me, I know. I turned the "cool" setting to "on" on the thermostat the first night thinking I'd need it. Hahaha, I was so wrong!

We had our friend and her grandson from Colorado come see us in Vancouver WA and we wanted to take her to the Oregon coast. Checking in went well and the place was beautiful and nice. We spent most of our daytime hours visiting nearby towns. We ate all lunches and dinners out so we can’t say much about the kitchen amenities but they appeared good. My suggestion is that you get a non-slip mat for the primary bathroom tub/shower and add a suction grab bar on the wall. I started to slip in the shower but thankfully I caught myself. My friend said the water temperature in the laundry room shower didn’t get very hot. We decided that we would enjoy staying at Captain Bill’s again when we use the house more. Overall, the place was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Everything was as expected. Booking and communication was easy. Place was clean and comfortable. Is a little weird that there is no back door to the back yard, in fact the entire place only has one door. The only downfall, as many others also noted, was getting into the place the first night. After recieving a third code to the lock box, and waiting in the car, in the rain, for an hour, we got in. There is also more than one lock box further complicating things. Not sure why this continues to be an issue with this place.
But not to discouraged anyone, this place was a great getaway and would return.

Location is great, had to call and get the lock box combination, but was taken care of quickly on the phone and no problems from then on. As someone else suggested it would be better to have a queen bed in the spare bedroom, or two twins that could be put together so it would be more convenient with 2 couples. Very clean nice place and we would stay again……Thank you

The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. Even for our pets. The sheets on the king bed were really scratchy. We were never able to find the gas grill. There was no door leading to the back of the house. I would definitely stay there again, but....bring my own sheets!

The house was super clean and comfortable. close to the beach and a reasonable walk to the casino. We would love to rent it again!

Very clean with plenty of bedding and bath supplies. Convenient location.
Negatives:
Had difficulty getting entrance to the home. Code did not work. Called and spent at least 20 minutes on hold. Finally hung up and on second attempt pressed "1" for emergency. (Still placed in a queue for a good 5 minutes.) Answering service was very polite and able to get us in. Frustrating when tired.
Home needs some attention to the electrical outlets. Many throughout are so worn out they will not hold a plug.
Only enough Hot water for two reasonable showers.
Kitchen only had salt and pepper. Maybe state this in your listing to bring anything needed to prepare meals. Any place we've used before had the basic spices and pan spray.

Location, quiet, close to beach and shopping. Very comfortable place.

arrived early on Monday, and the house was ready, rooms and beds were good, the kitchen is not very well stocked and has NO order of where to put things. We visited, played games and enjoyed a couple of beach walks. The door locks need W-D 40 they were very hard to get open. All in All it was a great trip.

This house was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed our time.

This house is just as listed. Very clean and comfortable. My only comment would be that our dog would have had a great time in the backyard had it not been so overgrown and we would have also had an area to sit outside.

Our stay at Captain Bills cabin
Very nice comfortable place. Had a great stay. Alarm went off for about an hour, maintenance guy fixed it right away.

good the bad and the ugly
The house was in a nice area, unfortunately most of the furniture was worn out thrift shop type quality. The beds were terrible, to use the trundle bed we had to prop blankets under the mattress or you felt like you were going to roll off the bed. The master bedroom had a newer mattress on top of old old box springs, all low old profile type. The place did what we needed , thank goodness for the handicap lift for the master bath toilet, it was so small and low could hardly get up or down. The house was very bright and had tons of natural light. if only staying a few days this might work for you, but an extended stay like we had , this property didn't work the best for us.

Great place!
The house was very clean. Convenient location. Close to beach. Great parking. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a queen bed in the second bedroom. The two twin beds dont accommodate adults very well. We had a great visit. No problems what so ever. We definitely will be back!

Description doesn’t match contents
The ad says there is a washer and dryer and a futon. We rented here thinking we could use the futon for sleeping as we brought our 3 grandkids. The Sofa was nice in its place but we had to purchase an air mattress to make it work. We brought our own blankets so that wasn’t an issue. King size bed in Master bedroom has seen better days, very uncomfortable. Overall great location, quiet and clean. I think if they update the description so people can be prepared all good..

It was a very nice house, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Close to the beach and shopping.

Nine o’clock at night standing in the rain and wind trying to unlock the electronic door to no avail. Called support. They sent a new code but that didn’t work. Fortunately there was a key lockbox and after some research the service tech found that code. After about 20 minutes we were in a warm, dry house.
The house is adequately supplied and comfortably furnished. The yard is overgrown and ugly but does afford privacy.
I’m not sure I want to go back—depends on what else is available. The fiasco of entry was very off-putting.

Birthday weekend
Over all this place is located in a very nice spot close to the beach. We had to contact the property manager about the futon braking. They were very responsive. Lots of towels which is very nice. In the bathroom located in the bedroom the shower curtain was tied up and most of it was ripped and falling apart. A small thing but something that could have been easily fixed before we got there. Also the plugs are the worst. Only 2 of them hold in the charger. Some of the ports don't even have a charge at all.. All in all it's a cute place with some minor things that need to get fixed.

Dated but clean
So I am the type that reads others feedback when deciding on where to stay but going into it knowing that there are some people you can never please. You can usually tell the complainers by the way they word their feedback. Nothing constructive, only complaints. That being said, here is what my honest opinion is of Captain Bill's Beachhouse. First off let me start by saying it's in a super location, not right on the beach, but so very close. Also it being a dog friendly home, it did not smell at all so kudos to the cleaning crew. I will agree with previous reviews, it's very dated. I so bad wanted to use my decorating skills to put up new pictures, light fixtures and furniture. It truly wouldn't be a huge investment to just do a few upgrades like this. The T.V. would be better suited mounted above the fireplace not only to free up floorspace but to make it more visible all around. The dated futon and blue chair need to go. A sectional would be wonderful and they make them with hide a beds. Just saying. The fireplace only worked intermittently, the repair guy was out and said it was a loose wire and messed with it a bit, but it never did work correctly. So that was a little disappointing. The outlets in the living room are pretty stretched out. Anything plugged in just fell out. The silverware is a little mishmashy and could definitely use updating because, well it's what people put in their mouths. I agree that the listing should note that pets are not allowed on the furniture so people are aware BEFORE they arrive. The lock code given didn't work and we had to call, they were very pleasant and responsive but even her resetting the code didn't work so we had to use the manual key and lockbox which honestly wasn't a big deal. Also good to know that there is no hairdryer provided so make sure you pack one. Even with everything I said, would I stay there again? Absolutely. It was clean, inexpensive, I could take my dog and it's within walking distance to the beach. With a few updates this house would get rave reviews from just about anyone who stayed there. Hey, I'd even come back and decorate it for some free nights. lol

Nice to relax and take the dog for a walk on the beach.

Not dog friendly
The house was clean and it’s in a great location. The neighborhood is nice. But not letting the dog up on the couch and bed should be known in advance. The backyard was not dog friendly either with the partial fence. The master bath shower curtain liner needs to be replaced. This is not a house for dogs.

Super clean house & short walk to the beach
Super clean house and nice short walk to the beach. Didn’t have a BBQ and the fire place didn’t work like the listing indicated. Couldn’t find a number for the property manager. We love to cook and wish we would’ve brought a sharp knife and non stick pan. Other than those small details we loved it and would book again.

Captain's Bills had everything we needed! Comfy beds, plenty of appliances, all the streaming services to log in to, a block from the beach with easy access, close to shops and restaurants, and very comfortable. Would totally come back!
