THE SPACE: Our Guest House is a beautifully designed, new construction 2BR/2ba home, with spacious double height common area and lots of natural light from 3 skylights. Comfortably furnished rooms with beautifully crafted winding maple staircase, natural finish wood doors & cabinets. A lovely full kitchen with maple cabinets, stone counters dishwasher, water filtration, refrigerator, dishes & cooking equipment, ample cabinet storage, electric range/oven and microwave oven. Washer/dryer in first floor bathroom, wifi, flat screen cable TV, mini-split heat pump & AC unit for total comfort, 2 tiled shower bathrooms with quiet vent fans. This is a fully furnished home and opens out to a lovely side yard.
Owners Rich and Patsy live in the front house on the property and are available as needed. Towels and linens are provided as well as toiletries, well equipped kitchen, coffee and tea. City permit # 16-108608.

We enjoyed staying in the lovely guest house. It is in a beautiful walkable neighborhood that is a short drive from the sites in Portland. If you walk one way along the street you run into shops and restaurants. Walking the other way takes you to the Willamette River. There was great communication with the on-site hosts. The house is clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Had a very pleasant stay at this wonderful little spot. Located in an amazing neighborhood, close to many shops, restaurants, and bars. The property is very clean with new appliances. The owners responded to texts and messages very promptly. My family and I Will definitely use this property again.

This beautiful guest house is well appointed and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed for our family (2 adults, 1 teen). We were in town for an event at Reed College and the location was perfect. Quick drive to Reed and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in Sellwood. There is a very good bakery less than 2 blocks away and similar distance to local restaurants (we enjoyed Gino’s) and a nice wine bar. Easy drive into downtown Portland - about 15 minutes. Easy check in and good communication from owners. We will definitely stay here again.

Adorable cottage was great space for the 4 of us and just a 3 block walk to little town of Sellwood for great bread, pastries and cool restaurants and shops.
Convenient parking right in front of house and easy to get to sightseeing at mt hood and Columbia River!
Everything needed was in the house including great coffee! We would def return when we go back to Portland!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Sellwood neighborhood house. The house was beautiful and we loved the area. We enjoyed the open floor plan and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals at home. The beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting out on the patio. It was a perfect spot for our family for a 4 day trip to the Portland area. We enjoyed walking to the neighborhood coffee shops and food trucks. We also had a wonderful meal at A Cena Ristorante which was a short walk away. Rich and Patsy were terrific hosts. The check in and check out process was easy. While this house is on the same property, the hosts were very respectful of our privacy. While some reviews mentioned the recycling/compost/trash process, we appreciated the environmentally conscious approach to our waste stream and have already implemented changes at home. We would definitely be interested in staying at this property again!

This rental is part of the same property as the owners so they were very integrated into the check in/out process. The house is a 15 minute drive from downtown Portland but there are unique shops within walking distance if you need anything.

By far the best Vrbo we have stayed at. The hosts were generous and the accommodations were top notch. Very clean and accessible to downtown restaurants and bars.

The apartment was in a great neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The place was comfortable and had a pretty area out back to sit and relax after a busy day.
Rich was readily available and gave me an independent overview of everything about the apartment and how everything worked.

We had a wonderful time. The trip was to drop my daughter off at college close by and due to a hiccup on the school's part she needed to spend one night with me and she really enjoyed it. Later in the stay I needed to leave earlier than intended and left my mother and sister for the final day and Rich was fine with that hand off. There were several types of trash / recycling and in spite of a lengthy explanation of what can was for what it was stressful to know where to put different types of trash; but I appreciate the environmental approach. We enjoyed walking up the couple blocks to the restaurants and shops and especially the bakery!

CHARMING HOME IN SELLWOOD!
MY FAMILY OF FOUR DECIDED TO DO A SHORT ROAD TRIP TO OREGON. WE SPENT 3 NIGHTS IN PORTLAND AND THIS HOME WAS PERFECT. IT IS IN SUCH A CHARMING NEIGHBORHOOD OF SELLWOOD AND IS ABOUT A 10 MINUTE WALK FROM A LAKE.
THE HOME HAD ALL THE IMMENTIES WE NEEDED TO MAKE OUR STAY COMFORTABLE
THE ONLY FEEDBACK I HAVE IS IF THERE IS MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY, THERE IS A FEE OF $20.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT ADDITIONALLY. I FOUND THAT TO BE OFF-PUTTING BECAUSE IN THE PAST WHEN I HAVE RENTED FROM VRBO I HAVE NEVER HAD TO PAY FOR ADDITIONAL PEOPLE BEFORE.
