Excellent location. Well equipped.
This was the ideal cottage for our family. The 3 bedrooms featured comfortable beds with plenty of bedding. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. We especially enjoyed the view from the shore as we watched the sun go down over the dunes each night. We will return.

Peaceful and perfect location
This property was perfect for our family getaway in August. It’s just a short run to the beautiful views and berry picking at Alligator Hill. Glen Arbor is right down the road for groceries at Anderson’s and ice cream at Cherry Republic. There was plenty of room and comfortable beds for our family of five. Our favorite part was being right on the lake and enjoying the shallow water for wading, swimming and kayaking. There were beautiful sunsets!

Hail the Hale Cottage
We rented the Hale Cottage on Little Glen Lake for a week two years in a row. We have had a really wonderful vacation time both times. Of the eight Glen Lake cottages we've rented many times over the last thirty years, this is the best. The four children enjoyed the TV in the family room with the sofa bed. They wouldn't sleep anywhere else! The parents and grandparents enjoyed having a separate living room and two bathrooms. We made use of the kitchen for breakfasts, some lunches, but few dinners. We used the kayaks plus a tube and floats that we brought. We brought our own life vests. The cottage is well furnished for vacationers, and we felt at ease. We had one problem - a plugged toilet - and had to purchase a plunger at Northwoods Hardware - we left it as a contribution, since we didn't leave much food, just a watermelon. One incident - two raccoon visitors spilled a woodpile. Our daughter-in-law saw them. It happened Thursday, so there wasn't any garbage for them.
Our activities included 1) dune climb 2) Alligator Hill and Pyramid Point hikes 3) Pearce Stocking Drive 4) Betsie River canoeing 5) shopping in Glen Arbor, Leland, Suttons Bay, Cedar, and the Iris Farm 6) family dinners at Art's Tavern, Bear Paw Pizza, Boondocks, and Joe's Friendly Tavern 7) separate adult dinners at Funistrada, Good Harbor Grill, and The Cove 8) ice cream for everybody at Cherry Republic.
We made use of the new washer that was put in on Thursday.
All eight of us hope to come back to Hale Cottage and Glen Lake again in 2017.
