This is a beautifully restored four bedroom single home. It is 3 miles (10 minutes) from the French Quarter in the safest neighborhood in the city. The house has 12 foot ceilings. There are 3 full baths. This house has all of the character of an old New Orleans home. I have Wifi, a complete kitchen and a large yard that has newly built pergola with a patio set. From the house, it is nice to watch cruise ships, river boats and other vessels traveling on the Mississippi River. Also, there is off street parking. This is the safest area in the city! This quaint property has quirks but lives up to its expectations and was a nice place for our families stay while visiting New Orleans. The neighborhood is quiet, we were probably the loudest there. The home itself is cozy and the pool was a life saver on those hot hot hot days!

A week before our stay, The bride-to-be suffered a brain bleed and was airlifted to a hospital, where she underwent surgery to repair an aneurysm and was found to have an AVM, resulting in a forever changed life. The bridesmaids intended to use the trip money for medical costs, but the host, who owns MULTIPLE properties in Nola, not only refused to refund the money but also refused to offer any condolences. This lack of empathy and morality is UNACCEPTABLE, and I strongly advise against supporting such an individual by booking with them.

We are a group of adults in our 50s and 60s. We stayed 4 days before our cruise. I highly recommend this house. Very clean and a very nice community. The property owner was very responsive. We enjoyed the house and the pool. We took walks on the levee and around the neighborhood. The only thing we would ask is the property owner provide more paper products. There was not enough toilet paper or paper towels. We bought some and ended up leaving the extra behind. Also, the property owner asks that you start a load of towels but they don't leave laundry soap. We used what we brought with us. It would be nice if these items were provided. Would definitely stay again.

The house was nice and in a good neighborhood. They didn’t supply you with to many extras. We had to buy paper towels and ran out of toilet paper and asked us to start a load of laundry before we left but there was no detergent. Other than that it was a nice stay for us.

Worked well for our family. They just put in a brand new pool, unfortunately we did not have time to use it .

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious and clean. We took walks around the neighborhood and felt completely safe. The river is just steps away. Arabi has a market and antique shops just around the corner that we enjoyed. It was roughly a 15 min Uber ride to the French Quarter. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. There is a pool construction/demolition job in process in the yard which is a bit of an eyesore in the yard, but didn’t detract from the charm of the inside of the home. There is also space to park inside the gate and off the road which was a plus!

We celebrated our friend's 30th birthday and New Years in New Orleans and stayed at this property for the occasion. We loved the vibe/antique aspects of the house. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and it was fun to see families out on New Year's Eve having fun with small fireworks.
There was a grocery store that was close enough for us to walk (about 1/2 mile) and we were also close to the water. We definitely heard the boats & stuff all the time which was comforting to us since we are from the Oregon Coast.
Uber rides added up fast to get to things but I don't know if I would want to drive a rental car on those roads so it was probably the best option for us.
Overall, we were very comfortable and loved the experiences we had.

This rental was perfect. The owner was super friendly, accommodating, and easy to reach. We were just a very short walk from the edge of the Mississippi river where we had the most amazing views! This was definitely a perfect place for our little getaway. It was quiet and safe and the house had so much charm. We would definitely rent this property again!

Great space for friends to gather.
Lots of space for friends to gather. Host was very accommodating and responsive. Only drawback was lack of closet space.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews., it is not safe and is falling apart.
The good: owner is very accommodating with check-in and checkout times. Space is big enough for 8 adults. Bathrooms and kitchens were pretty modern and clean. Neighborhood was quite.
The bad: every door and window is at least 100 years old. One inch gaps under under and on the sides of the doors. Old locks, that looks like a good kick can open the doors. Multiple water bugs found (dead and alive) throughout our stay. Floors have several holes and gaps throughout the house, which allows you to see outside. I was putting shoes on top of as many holes as I can to prevent bugs from crawling in. A clump of hair was found in one of the beds, which ensures us sheets weren't changed between stays. Water damage, throughout the house, even stains on curtains. One bed was broken and instead of getting a new one he is holding it up with a brick.
All in all, I can't believe this place is able to be rented. It is literally falling apart. As you walk thru the house, you feel like one wrong step and you will fall thru the floor to the outside.
Would never recommend this property. It should be shut down and repaired.

Beautiful traditional NOLA home
I came to NOLA for my wedding and this home was a perfect accommodation for my entire stay and friends. It is a beautiful home in a safe, cute and quiet neighborhood. I had one little issue and the host quickly solved it. I'll come back again to stay here most definitely especially because of how spacious it was.

Safe & Excellent Location
Spacious, Historical Home in an incredibly safe neighborhood. Sleeps 8 very comfortably. Plenty of bathroom space. 1 block from Mississippi River. We rented bikes and enjoyed the cute houses around town. Neighbors were friendly. Coffee down the street. So close to everything touristy that we did. We WILL stay here again, no question. Turns out my family from Chalmette knows host and his family and my relatives confirmed that this family is well known in the community and are good folks.

Location is everything
This was my first time coming back to New Orleans since 2005. The location allowed us to quiet we were looking for with the ability to get anywhere we needed in 30 mins or less. Beautiful house and owners were quick to respond if we had any questions.

Good Stay / Nice Area
There was five of us that stayed at this property for five days. Plenty of room for all of us the rooms were clean, spacious, and well taken care of. We did notice water stains on the ceilings in a couple of the rooms. We do know that Larry was taking care of that because we spoke to the person working on the roof. Overall it was a good experience and a nice place to stay. I would recommend this house to others.

Amazing
Larry’s home was clean and very inviting. The neighbors were nice. The neighborhood was also great it had a local bar a few blocks down. If you need a spacious and nice home you should rent this place. Oh and it’s convenient to all the attractions.

Spacious and great location
7 of us travelled for a conference and this home was perfect. Lots of space and a really cool little bar at the end of the street. Plenty of dishes to cook for our group and laundry machines are a great bonus feature. Only suggestion is the king master with the bathroom the bed is sloped to one side so made that couple sleep a bit tricky, not sure if it was the floor or bed that was the issue. Overall a great stay and we would recommend this house for both business or families.

Great Place in Great Area
We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is comfortable and quiet. A number of close small community bars and places to eat. The owner was very attentive and great to deal with. When we arrived the A/C was not working. Messaged the owner and had a reply in less than 5 minutes. Repair man was there early the next morning and got it fixed. This is an old home in and old community. We loved the charm while enjoying the upgrades that made the stay very enjoyable. We'd definitely stay here again. Plenty of space for the 6 adults in our group.

Just like home
We were born and raised in this area. This property was everything we needed to feel right at home. It is walking distance to the river so you can go experience the view or go for a run along the levee. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious. The yard was great and our daughter could play and ride her scooter. We had a good time visiting for the holidays and would definitely stay again. Thanks again Mr. Larry for the quick response on our questions and for helping.

NOLA Arabi
The house worked well for our family. The neighborhood was safe. 25 minutes to Bourbon Street. However, there were numerous businesses much closer. As with most people, we ran out of time....so we may have to come back
