What a great stay! Pro’s were it was super clean, great location, easy access to public transportation or walking, safe and mostly quiet. Con’s when people are upstairs it can be loud especially if they’re night owls and are stomp walkers. Otherwise, just a perfect spot for what we needed this trip!

We loved this place! Spent rainy summer weekend for a wedding with 4 of us here. It is a beautifully remodeled basement apartment so even though it is on a busy street, the apartment was very quiet. Literally steps away are two major transit lines, so you can bus to the breweries in Ballard, or hop a bus to downtown if you don't want to hassle with parking. You are also a 10 minute walk away from one of the best breakfast places in Seattle, and a really good grocery store. Highly recommend!!

We came back after a trip to BC.
Perfect place to explore Seattle.
Friendly and helpful communication with owner.
We highly recommend this place.

This is a nice and cozy place with everything you need for a stay away from home. The express bus is just a little walk away and you are very fast downtown Seattle and close to all sights.
Thanks Teresa and family for providing this apartment to travelers!

We were in Seattle to attend a wedding. The apartment was perfect. Enough room for my daughter, husband and I. Loved bus stop close by to visit downtown. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by as well within walking distance. Also enjoyed chairs on patio for reading. We are continuing our travels with a west coast road trip so nice to be able to do laundry before leaving. Thanks again!

The basement apartment was super clean and had everything I needed and more. Teresa was very communicative throughout the process. The apartment is literally steps away from the "E" line, which takes a tourist to the major attractions in downtown Seattle. It was fun to stay in a residential area, and I would definitely come back to this location.

We loved this location and the property had everything we needed including a parking space. We came at the perfect time of year for sure. WiFi worked well, and we had no noise or dirtiness issues. Kitchen is small but worked fine for us. If it’s super hot, there is not ac, but each room had a fan to use if needed, which came in handy!! Great place to stay, responsive host, and I will definitely go back when I’m in Seattle next!

We stayed for 3 days during our summer road trip. This little apartment was very clean, thoughtfully renovated, and well maintained. Having a laundry room was perfect for getting our suitcases refreshed for the second part of our trip. If ever in Seattle again, we will definitely stay here if it’s available!

Low ceilings were navigable by my 6’1” husband and totally worth it for the peaceful, clean and friendly stay.
Though located on a fairly busy street, inside was very quiet, though you may hear your upstairs neighbors if they have heavy feet. The decor lends itself to a calm, relaxing space.
Our hosts were welcoming and responded right away with a pound of coffee when they heard the coffee canister was found empty.
This is a fun and quirky neighborhood, one of my favorite in Seattle b
We’d definitely stay again!

This is a cute basement apartment with everything you need for a brief stay. The beds are comfortable and the manager welcoming and attentive. Thank goodness there is assigned private parking! Seattle neighborhood parking is challenging and the cars lining the streets make driving the narrowed streets a driving adventure. Easy access to downtown and many local sites.

Teresa was very easy to talk to and responded right away to all my questions. She’s a delight and the humor she added in her “things to know” book was amazing 😂. The place was fairly hard to find but Teresa can give you good directions if you get confused. It could have been cleaner in some areas - for example, the fans provided were both unusable because they were so filthy. A little better attention to the small areas would help. Otherwise, a great place to stay with amazingly comfortable beds and plenty of room!

Nice place to stay in a safe part of town, not too far from the city

Unit worked well for us. It is short as described and my friend had to duck under doorways. Host was very helpful and responsive.

Teresa was great. She was in communication via text. We were welcomed, a minor issue was addressed, and she made sure we had what we need. The place is super cute and comfortable. It’s in great location. Would definitely stay again if in Seattle. Thank you Teresa and family.

Property was clean and check in/check out instructions were clear. Parking can be a little tight if other cars are in the driveway. Otherwise, perfect place to drop your bags then head out to explore Seattle!

Lovely basement suite with excellent transit access. Location was very convenient for enjoying Fremont, Ballard and Wallingford, with downtown Seattle a short express bus ride away. The hosts were very helpful and insuite laundry was a bonus.

We stayed here last year with a slightly larger family group and really liked it. This year was no different.
The house was spotlessly clean, and everything worked fine. Beds were comfy. We cooked a few simple meals and it had all of the kitchen gear needed.
The location is just a block from Aurora Ave (St Rd 99), so our destinations were always close. Plus nearby Fremont Ave has tons of great restaurants.
We plan to return on our next Seattle stay.

We visited the Seattle area in April, 2024 and had a great experience during our stay. The unit was very clean, nicely decorated. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is convenient and in a very walkable area. We walked to dinner and took a short walk to the Woodland Park, which is about 4 blks away. We highly recommend this property if you are in the Seattle area.

Great location, walking distance to the Zoo, Greenlake, great restaurants and a short drive into downtown. Very clean and comfortable. Maximum height might be 6'3" is only piece to be aware of.

Great location in Fremont! Easily walkable
Small space but functional
It is a basement apartment so ceilings are short (didn’t bother us short people but might be troublesome for tall folks)

Came here on a trip with my sisters and we could not have found a better place to stay. The unit is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown Seattle and other outlying areas. The unit was comfortable for the three of us and well appointed and cared for. Communication with the owner was exceptional. She was very responsive and helpful when needed. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Seattle.

My friend and I had the best time in Seattle while staying here! So many shops, restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores near by. Everything was very walkable. To get downtown, we utilized the super close bus stop. Teresa was wonderful and tried to accommodate our (very late) ask of checking in early. She also checked in with us the next day and made sure everything was alright and we had everything we needed. Can’t recommend this place enough and hope I can stay here next time I’m in Seattle! Also I recommend you read the entire binder Teresa wrote — it is hilarious yet informative!

The host was easy to communicate with. Convenient location to lots of tourist attractions and restaurants. Everything was in working condition and easily accessible. Great parking spot, but might be an issue for larger vehicles. 10/10 would recommend anyone visiting to stay.

City Haven III was absolutely perfect for my husband and I’s anniversary trip. It’s only a few miles from the Seattle Waterfront, Pike Place Market, Seattle Space Needle and the Zoo. It was very clean and all the essentials were there for us. There was a grocery store not too far either. Highly recommend this location.

We brought my Mom to visit Seattle for the first time and we all loved this place(and she is super picky lol:) It was quiet and tucked away; perfect after a busy day out and about. My only comment, and it isn't negative at all, is that parking is pretty tight. We came in my van and it was fun getting in and out. I'm not sure we would have been able to park in the lot if there had been a guest staying in the upper unit. And if we would have been in our larger vehicle, there would have been no way we would have fit. But there did seem to be plenty of street parking so as long as you know that ahead of time, you should be good to go. I also really enjoyed the story of how the owners met:)

Central location , well appointed , all necessities provided . Clean & everything is decorated in white , so this farm family feels quite posh !
Not recommended for any person over 6’3”. We have had a lot of laughs about the 6 ft 2 guy & the best advice he’s ever got . Which is duck !

The house is cute & warm. Our teen enjoyed having his own space & said “this is the kind of place I want to live in when I move out”. The owner was kind and attentive. Highly recommend.

Third time visiting family in Seattle, stayed here for 5 nights with my wife while visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a very nice spot to stay though it is a little quirky.
The neighborhood is really great, plenty of things are within walking distance - multiple restaurants, a lovely market, a little bakery, a musical instrument store, and a zoo. We took advantage of everything nearby while we were there.
The property was very clean with plenty of parking nearby. Rooms were warm and quiet. Washing machine and dryer were easy to use.
The owners had great communication and were awesome to deal with.
The quirk of the property is the ceilings are low. It wasn't a problem for me and my wife, but if you are 6'4" or taller this is probably not the place for you to stay.
The one thing I wished was better was the kitchen. I enjoy cooking and like to sample the local offerings wherever I go on vacation. The burners on the electric stove top were not level which made them difficult to use, my guess is the stove was disassembled for cleaning and not put back together correctly.
My humble suggestion to the owners would be to add a 9x9 baking pan, replace the mishmash of stove top pots and pans with a full set of pots and pans with lids, and get some better kitchen scissors, but this isn't a deal breaker.
None of the quirks or wishes would keep me from booking this property again next year. I usually make my famous pumpkin cheesecake at my brothers house anyway.
