We were looking for a house that would work for our family that consisted for 4 adult couples. So many were geared towards families with multiple children and had a lot of bunk beds. This house provided 4 separate bedrooms with good sized beds so we didn't have to share rooms. Kitchen well stocked. Pantry items meant coffee, filters, spices even cooking spray which was nice as we made breakfast every day. No ice maker, but ice trays provided. Plenty of pillows and linens for 4 couples. Nice and roomy. The new sectional meant, as a family, we did have to pull over a couple of dining room chairs to all sit in the living room at the same time. Ceiling fans helped keep the house cool enough. Kitchen and dining table nice to gather around. We were able to park on the street. Once we got right in front of the house. Even on the most challenging night when they were street cleaning on Monday, we only had to park at the end of the block. Universal was quite a drive with traffic, but Disneyland was not bad at all. Check in process super easy. House information binder very useful. House worked very well for us and we enjoyed our stay.

First impression- WOW! House is very spacious and clean. Stocked with every need, down to 1st aid kit & flashlights. Church across the street with beautiful gardens. Park with playground 2 blocks west. Walking distance to downtown events, such as Wednesday night food truck festival and Friday morning farmers market. All the conveniences of city life, yet the house was very quiet inside. Owner was very helpful with local recommendations and accommodating a special request. Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to.

Just what we wanted

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Bill and Carrie’s lovely home. It was very clean and exactly as the pictures shown. A huge plus is the wheelchair accessibility walk way leading to the front door entrance. It was perfect to wheel my dad up to the front door. Bill and Carried were very responsive and stayed in communication with me when I had any questions leading up to the time of our stay. They were also very kind and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location near to stores, restaurants and downtown.

We had a great experience with staying at Bills place. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had great pressure. The house was clean. The house was very close to our conference as walking distance. The parking was street parking which was fine but had to play shuffle with the car on Monday for the street sweeping. It worked out just fine. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils. Plenty of towels for the bathrooms. There is a very cute patio to hang outside if u want your morning coffee. The washing machine and dryer worked great. Bill was very accommodating to us and very communicative. We will seeing you again in June. Thanks so much for accommodating our group.

This was our 4th time staying in this absolutely perfect house. We brought my dad home to his birthplace of Whittier one last time and it was wonderful having a home where all his nieces and nephews could come have a visit. EXCELLENT location, walking distance to everything in uptown, easy parking, wonderful house, and Bill is a great host. The thermostat was acting up when we first got there and he came right away and REPLACED it with one that works great. I am quite certain we will be staying again.

The house was beautiful and provided us a safe place to rest for my older brother's funeral. The only problem was the heater did not go up beyond 68 degrees. This made the home extremely cold. Besides this, we had a great experience at William's home.

Perfect property for our family of 7 to stay

Everything was super smooth from communication - check out. We loved the chalk board w suggestions for local places to go. The only notable thing we noticed were that the beds were quite uncomfortable- still manageable for a weekend though. Good little place to stay!

Overall this house exceeded our expectations. The house is a great size for large families and it has everything you might need. The neighborhood was very quiet and parking was perfect.

The house was nice and well kept up. We were very comfortable there. We did not completely understand that there was only street parking available at the location, but had a reasonably easy time finding parking when needed. Enjoyed being close to a city park and coffee store.

This home was in a great, fun location for a family of all ages. We will stay here again

Easy check in/out. Great location for my sons’ basketball camp. Very spacious, clean and close to restaurants, cute local coffee shops. Would stay again next summer if my sons return to Basketball camp at Whittier College. Host Bill was great. Texted to check in with us when power was out, even offer to run flashlights over!

Property is huge. You could fit a lot of people in the house. Owner makes stay easy and simple check in and out. There’s a lot to do nearby and within walking distance of the hotspots. Biggest recommendation is get your parking early as this is the place to be in Whittier. Look forward to staying here again in the future!

We arrived at the property, the check in was very easy, home is spacious. 3 of us, each had their own space. Table in the dining room & the kitchen, which allowed all of us to work in their own space. This is where it went wrong.......the room I selected had the bed made up but the sheets were not fresh. There were hairs all over the bed, which made me Leary. I chose the only other open room and the sheets were fresh. Next day, we realize that the place had not been cleaned properly. We literally had to sweep and clean. We went to Walmart and bought our own supplies. We are not above this BUT one does not expect to do this on VACAY! We reached out to the host to let him know & that he may want to speak with his cleaning company. We were not asking for any money back or anything, this was more of informative text to him. He called us a short time later on DEFENSE about how the home was clean. He said he he personally got on his knees & inspected the floors in the home. Ok, NOT TRUE cause if he would have, he would have known that the floors had not been swept . As well as the sheets had not been changed from the last renter. He kept saying he could not service and meet our needs. We kept saying we are not asking you to do anything (because we already have), we were just letting him know. Instead of him apologizing & asking how he could make the situation right he asked us to leave. He said he would REFUND US our money. This was totally uncalled for because we didn't do anything to warrant him wanting us out. But it is his home & we certainly didn't want to stay where we were not wanted. In the process of trying to get our things together and look for another place to stay, we get an email from VRBO saying the owner wants us out by 12PM & he will refund us our money. By now we are scrambling trying to find another place to go. We even called him back to further let him know that we were just letting him know his cleaning company did not do a good job. He was stubborn & was adamant that he wanted us out. He took the criticism about the cleaning company as if we were personally speaking about him. We were left with having to spend a lot more money & get 2 Hotel rooms. We have not been refunded and reached out VRBO. We were told that the HOST had to refund our money. VRBO sent email to HOST and said he would be removed if he does not pay. However, that does not benefit us. We need to be REFUNDED our money. We also have photos and videos............

We were in town for six days for my mom's Celebration of Life and this home was perfect. There were five of us with a mix of family and friends and the spaciousness gave us all plenty of privacy and room to gather as well.. The home was spotless and the kitchen was very well equipped as were the bedrooms and bathrooms. The blackboard with dining and local event suggestions was much appreciated and we really enjoyed Brickhouse Pizza and the Friday farmers' market. Bill was quick to respond to any inquiries and was very accommodating at this emotional time. We absolutely recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.
