We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was roomy and cozy and had beautiful views from every window. We enjoyed the wrap around porch and two balconies that provided great views of the ocean and the best sunsets we’ve ever seen!We found Don to be a great host. He lives in a separate cottage on the large property.Currently the beach in front of the cottage is very rocky due to the hurricane of two years ago.Fortunately Don told us about a few beautiful sandy beaches within a ten minute drive of the cottage. We’ve stayed at many cottages on PEI and this is among our favorites. With the beach just a few minutes walk down the lane from this property, it makes an amazing beach holiday. This is our second year here and it did not disappoint. Swimming the the warm waters, walking forever on a white sand beach. Spectacular sunsets, whether you watch from outside on the deck, in a chair by the ocean or from inside at the kitchen table. A wonderful home with master bedroom on the ocean so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Board games and puzzles for those rainy days. The perfect place to relax by the ocean with family or friends. Don is the perfect host, and is easy to contact and there when needed. We will definitely be back!

Everything was great, had everything we needed.
Don was great and easy to get hold of and very accommodating.
The sunsets are amazing at this place and the ocean front and the beach down the road were awesome .
We celebrated our 25 years here and was amazing and very relaxing by the water .
The seafood shack in Morell to eat was incredible

Don was an excellent host. Beautiful home which was well furnished. The sunsets from the deck were gorgeous. Highly recommend this property.

Went beginning to mid May. A bit chilly, but nice when it was sunny. Still off season, so the island was quiet and peaceful - had most places to myself when out exploring! It was great! Sunsets from this home would never get old. Comfortable and has everything you would need.

Don was a very helpful host and responded quickly to any questions. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms were very clean. The setting is the Pearl in the oyster! Beautiful, quiet and private.

We had a wonderful long weekend holiday at Sunset Suite. As soon as we stepped out of the car and smelled that 'beach smell', tensions of our day to day lives melted away.
Sunset Suite is a beautiful cottage that provided all that we needed, including comfort and peace.
Walks on the beach, watching the sea birds, seals and fishing boats from the front deck, the sound of the waves lulling us to sleep, the wonderful sea breeze wafting through the open windows.
The local fare must be praised as well. During your stay at Sunset Suite be sure to add B&W Café and Bistro in St Peter's Bay, The Golden Dory in Greenwich and The Seafood Shack in Morell to your 'Must Do' list.
During our stay, we hosted a family picnic. All agreed that it was one of the best we have ever had. The cottage was a perfect location for the event.
Thank you, Don and Diane for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful cottage. We hope to be able to return in the near future.

We had an amazing vacation by the ocean at this property! Don and Diane were the perfect hosts, attentive to any needs. The sunsets were incredible to watch from the front porch, front yard and if the mosquitoes got to be too much, we retreated to relax in the screened in deck, fully protected. The house is fantastic with lots of space for relaxing both outside and in, and a cute loft room for some quiet time. You can’t beat the ocean view, after all the house is just a few steps from the water. There is a long sandy beach a short walk down a grass path and over some rocky terrain. We had an amazing time and will return next year!

Don and his pup Honey welcomed us personally when we arrived and Don was always available if we needed something. The house itself is situated in an incredibly peaceful setting right on the ocean. The view at sunset (and sunrise) cannot be beat. The layout of the house is very practical and the kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. The mosquitos and flies were comparable in number to other parts of the island, but bring bug spray. One thing to improve would be to provide a travel crib for babies/toddlers and 1 or 2 pressure baby gates in order to block off the bottom of the stairs and/or bedroom doorway. The pillows and sheets on the beds could also be replaced for optimal comfort. We would love to come back for another stay in future!! Thanks for a great stay!

Description of this property is not perfectly accurate, because it is hard to describe the sound of the ocean, the smells of the sea, and the feeling of beach sand in your toes. But when you want to enjoy PEI, this property is a must. Very clean, uniquely special with its views, location, and accessiblity, and the hosts goes out of their way to make this vacation perfect.
The property is perfectly stocked with everything you need, the hosts are always too willing to help out and make suggestions, and we can't wait to come back.

We had an amazing week at this wonderful house… inside it’s quite spacious & very clean with cozy bedrooms & a fabulous kitchen- outside there is unlimited space with beautiful views & nightly sunsets. There is a provincial park nearby that you won’t want to miss- we highly recommend!

Attentive, courteous host- there with extra flashlights in minutes when the power went out! ( no fault of the property - a hurricane will do that!)
The property is well appointed , kitchen well stocked . Would love to return !

Great, quiet location directly on the water - very comfortable home.
Unfortunately our stay was cut short after just five nights due to Hurricane Fiona. Owners were very accommodating.

We had a great stay at this property. Everything was there that we could have possibly needed. The cute look out space is a bit tricky to get to as it is accessible only through a spiral staircase in the master bedroom. Both full sized bathrooms had great room. Living spaces and bedrooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed the quietness of this property. We loved sitting by the ocean viewing wildlife. Don and Diane often communicated with us to make sure we didn't need anything during our stay. We were very thankful for the wooden pallet steps to the beach. The shoreline is a bit rocky but beautiful. PEI was a three-day drive for us, so I don't think we will be visiting again, but, if we did, I wouldn't hesitate to use this property again.

This is as perfect to paradise as you will find. Private, beach, great house and well appointed. Walk literally for hours on the beach. Short drive to many places. Lovely hosts. Loved everything about it. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise.

The waterfront view is stunning with a nice beach just a fee minutes walk away. We really enjoyed this calm and intimate property. Very close to the Greenwich Dunes park and at reasonable driving distance from grocery stores, restaurants and deep sea fishing charters. The owner is also very responsive.

We had such a wonderful time vacationing here. The location is private and secluded, and you have access to a beautiful private beach with amazing sand and warm water. The cottage appears fairly small from the outside, but it is surprisingly big inside and has plenty of room for everyone to never feel crowded. Don was also quick to respond any questions that we had. We couldn’t have asked for better for our family vacation. We would will definitly be back!

A fabulous family vacation !
We had a whirlwind visit of 4 days after driving for two days with three teens, a grandmum with a walker and two dogs in a van and though hectic was awesome! New to PEI we couldn't believe how lovely the place is. We loved everything - okay almost everything the mosquitos are pesky in the evening - about our time spent at Don's cottage. Amazing, quirky property -very clean and well stocked - everything we needed was available. We really enjoyed the lovely large lawn overlooking the ocean where we played various games from soccer to bocce every evening. The cottage is quite accessible except for the stairs on to the deck but the lawn is flat and mowed and tons of chairs available. Getting down to the beach is a bit tricky but once you are there you can walk for miles. Only people we saw were on the weekend. Our aging dogs turned into puppies again - was so cute. All in all was so worth the drive - we loved it!

PEI is beautiful.
Nice piece of property at the end of a dirt road. Beautiful views. You can walk on the beach for miles and not see another person. House was fully stocked with every amenity. Crowbush cove golf course was by far the best golf course I’ve ever played. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger “I’ll be back.”

Perfect stay
Amazing property at amazing location! The beach house had everything we could ask for, with many thoughtful details like fresh dry wood for the fire pit, baby wash, spices etc. Don was easily accessible for any questions but gave us plenty of privacy to just unwind. We loved the beach all to ourselves, we walked to Greenwich Beach from the beach house and didn't see another person along the way. Look forward to coming back!

A Vacation To Remember
Please consider this vacation home if planning a trip to PEI. The house is spotless, spacious, and equipped with the comforts of home. Very private! I walked along the beach for over an hour and didn't see anyone. Don was a perfect host. We received a call from Don a few days before leaving for our holiday to wish us a safe trip and answer any questions we might have. He contacted us a few times while we were there and answered all questions. We also received a text from Don prior to leaving wishing us a safe trip home. I have never experienced an owner provide such attention throughout a stay. Thank you Don and Diane for sharing your PEI home with us. LOVED IT!

The Perfect Location
Property is steps from the best beach in PEI. We spent hours on the sand just walking, collecting sea glass, and enjoying the view. This is a very quiet location perfect for nighttime bonfires and star gazing. There are also several local foxes who visited regularly in the evening.
The cottage is within 20 minutes of restaurants and grocery stores. If you are looking for some city amenities you are a quick 45 minutes from Charlottetown. World class golf is everywhere on PEI and many of the best courses are a short drive away.
Both the owner and the local property manager were very responsive and checked in several times during our stay. Absolutely the best I’ve dealt with in a VRBO.
The only downside was a few mice who came to visit at the end of our trip. I don’t blame this on the owner. The nights were getting cold and these things happen……
Thanks for sharing your very special property Don and Diane. We would not hesitate to rent it again when we return to lovely PEI.

Positives: lovely, secluded setting; big kitchen; 3 good sized bedrooms; owners offered early check-in; responded quickly to most messages. Our family has rented close to 20 homes through VRBO and other sites, we have 100% good feedback and we’ve never left negative feedback like this. This was a high end rental so we expected more from it than our usual budget places. The owner I know will add comments about trying but it is not enough. Getting a cheese grater the next day, when you are ¾ of the way through making home made pizza for seven, is not helpful. False information in the ad: 1) There are NO stairs going to beach as advertised. You either walk down the road to the sand beach or go over a steep bank and get down on a log that has been propped up against the bank. Huge impact on our mobility impaired son.2) Broke jets in the “jetted tub.” Very disappointing, discovered second last night, too tired of issues to reach out to owners yet again as highly unlikely could be fixed for us anyway. 3) There is NO fourth bedroom. Huge issue for us; we have three teenagers and needed 4 bedrooms. Their f4th bedroom is attached to master with no door, no closet, no dresser, no mirror, no curtains the many windows. My teen girl had to stay there, she was nervous re: lack of window coverings, no privacy for her or us in the master. It’s a nice room, good view- not a bedroomDisappointing amenities and functionality of the house: 4) Using the kitchen was a nightmare: many basic amenities missing or broken: broken can opener, no peeler, no cheese grater to name a few. 5) A few spices but no other kitchen staples that are usually provided in our experience. Stock up before arriving, in Charlottetown as closest store is 25 min away. And expensive. tely no oils or basic kitchen staples so make sure you stock up before arriving—and do this in Charlottetown because the closest store is about 20-25 min away. Owners blamed COVID but two other rentals during COVID not like this. 7) Cabinet organization horrible. Nowhere to store food as every cabinet filled with clutter—way too many dishes, but barely any drinking glasses. Aside from clutter, no sense to where things were: may sound petty but every meal took longer and was way more of a chore because of this. I shared all this with the owners-no response until we checked out-ignored request for discount, providing some missed stuff next day absolutely not enough in this case.

Our vacation to Prince Edward Island was a much-needed getaway and our stay at Sunset Suite did not disappoint. The quaint cottage is set in an idyllic, peaceful location. The sunsets each evening were picturesque and just kept getting better. The cottage was wonderfully kept and had every amenity we needed. We loved looking at the ocean and feeling that ocean breeze. Our six year old son enjoyed walking down to the beach, digging in the soft red sand, and exploring the rocks. Even our dogs enjoyed themselves!Don and Diane are wonderful hosts. They kindly answered all our questions, recommended places to visit on PEI, and made certain we had everything we needed. Don and Diane were truly gracious hosts. We cannot wait to return to Sunset Suite!

This house is advertised as having an immaculate sand beach. According to the property manager that was all wiped out by a storm last winter. The listing and the pictures were not updated. False advertising. Reached out to the owners about this and no reply at this point.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had originally intended to go to Hawaii but, due to Covid, we decided upon this property in PEI instead. We were thoroughly pleased with our stay! The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped. It is at the end of the lane, so very quiet, tranquil and with the most spectacular views of sunsets that I have ever seen. The cottage is placed such you can see both sunrise and sunsets, although the sunrises were a little too early for us..lol. A short walk along a path and across a few rocks and you will be able to walk upon kilometers/miles of sandy beaches. We nearly walked to the Greenwich Beach (approx. 3 kilometers) and back to the cottage and saw, at most, 6 people. You can't do that in Hawaii!! It was great for our dog, Wesley, who loves to retrieve sticks in the water and be able to run off leash. Our last night there, with family visiting, we cooked lobster in a pot of ocean water while watching the sunset by the fire we made in the fire pit. Doesn't get much better than that. Before, during, and after our stay, the hosts Don and Diane were in constant communication to make sure that we were completely happy with everything, and we were.We give this property and its hosts an enthusiastic 5 stars. Would definitely return!!
