About this house rental
Welcome to the fabulous Florida Keys, where the good times await! As you drive south, the world you leave behind fades in the distance, and your tropical island paradise lies just ahead. My goal is to provide you with a secluded and private resort to unwind and build wonderful memories with friends and family.
Pictures refreshed November 2021 - What you see is what you get and pictures are in order from the entrance up. Currently looking to fill April and May, 2022.
The Space:
Enjoy the serene bay with easy ocean access via Tavernier Creek. The 60 foot dock and long-sloping concrete ramp will make boating, fishing and water sports easy. Paddle out in the three sea kayaks to see wildlife, swim with the manatees and spot the occasional dolphin.
Cool off in the sparkling blue salt swimming pool with ample seating and children’s sun-shelf area; then rinse off in the warm outdoor shower.
The home is completely remodeled with high-end furniture and electronics. On the main floor you’ll find plenty of room for entertaining. The screened-in terrace has fans, a day bed for napping and a teak dining table for eight - perfect for brunch! A large, fully equipped chef’s kitchen with gas range and a BBQ, and an additional first floor wet bar helps keep the beer and frozen drinks flowing! There are three large televisions with DirecTV and a surround sound home theatre so you’ll never miss the big game. Four outdoor hifi speakers, table tennis and darts round out the entertainment extras.
Guest Access:
A lush, gated waterfront home with heated saltwater pool, private boat ramp, dock, sandy beach area, room for everyone. It's basically a self-contained private resort, just for you and your guests.
Interaction with Guests:
There is weekly gardening and twice weekly pool service. The house has an electronic key code lock. Depending on timing, the property manager might be there when you arrive. Otherwise, he'll be available by phone and can come to the house if necessary.
The Neighborhood:
Being next to Tavernier Creek means you don't have to choose between ocean side and bayside. Shops and restaurants are also very nearby. Enjoy free access to Founder's Park Beach with marina, kids playground, tennis, etc. Free access to Harry Harris Park as well.
Getting Around:
You'll definitely need a car
Other Things to Note:
As with any Florida vacation be prepared to avoid sunburn, bug bites, jellyfish, and oh yes, the occasional (usually) harmless salt water crocodile.
Pets - allowed

Beautiful shaded property with all the bells and whistles. This home was very family friendly, in a fantastic location! Shopping, grocery store, liquor stores, bait shops, and so many fabulous restaurants all within 5-20 minutes away. Sleeps 12-14 people very comfortable. Nice family split plan house with an in ground pool. The first floor has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom, bartender kitchen (no stove) Second floor has a master bedroom, bathroom, beautiful large screen enclosed porch, and main open floor plan kitchen. Third floor is main master bedroom suite with its own bathroom. The boat ramp is extremely tight but we did get our 23’ center console Hydro Sport in/out of there without any issues. My husband is a Class A driver and he did have to use his expert level driving and trailer backing skills to use it. (If you are not an expert, I wouldn’t recommend using the boat ramp) There are several kayaks/paddle boards on property. The owner was very responsive to my questions/texts/inquiries. Fisherman, this property is on the bay side but has extremely easy ocean side access through Tavernier Creek. It is on a murky canal, but as soon as you clear the canal it is clear and beautiful. We did have manatees and dolphin visit almost daily. There is a outside bait freezer, cleaning table with water, only thing that would make this home a fisherman’s paradise is a commercial ice machine.

Great vacation
We had a excellent time for the month the pool was fantastic. Fishing was good for snapper off the dock with a easy idle out in the boat for bonefish and Mahi. Very convenient for restaurants and shopping

Private Paradise
It has take me a while to write review but my family stayed at this property in Dec 2021/Jan 2022 and they are still talking about how much fun they had. Perfect space for older children/ young adults as they were hang out on first level and have some privacy as well come up stairs and play cards and games with the family out on screened porch. We spent out evenings out on dock waiting for our manatee friends and enjoying the sunset. Also enjoyed kayaks (make sure to have extra patches handy), we encountered multiple types of sharks and fish, neighbors spotted crocodile but we didn’t get to see. Jean Luc was an amazingly responsive host and made us feel right at home.

Fantastic
Absolutely perfect for a fisherman. Short jog out the pass and you are on the Atlantic! Very convenient boat ramp on property, which we managed to get a 22 ft key west in. We will definitely stay again!

Great Getaway HQ
Our group has been making an annual pilgrimage to the Keys for well over a decade now and each year or two we look to upgrade the experience. This year's trip set the new standard and we are already looking forward to returning next year. The house is conveniently located to our favorite fishing and diving spots as well as quick access to groceries and restaurants. All of the home amenities made it easy to enjoy kicking back and relaxing. The house is in great shape, comfortable, clean and well maintained as the pictures depict. The owner is very reasonable in addressing requests and responding to our questions. Its a great place to getaway and we highly recommend it. Thanks to J-L for sharing his piece of paradise, we will be back!

Paradise in the Florida Keys
My husband and I just recently stayed in this home in "paradise" as we refer to it for a month. Our stay was absolutly perfect! The home was represented very well. The interior and exterior of the home are in immaculate conditions with very modern details and is well maintained. The photos do not do this home justice. The home is 10 times better than the pictures lead. There is plenty of space for a family vacation giving everyone privacy. The canal setting is perfect for boaters, sun lovers and manatee fans. We spent much of our time enjoying the very well maintained pool area and lounging on the canal dock. This home is in a great location with many resteraunts near, by boat or by car, Shops and grocery stores are within just a mile or two as well. It is also an easy drive from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami airports. We would recomend this home to all of our family and friends and to anyone interested in an amazing vacation. We are so excited about this house in "paradise" that within a week of returning home we had already booked again for 2012! We have rented homes on VRBO for a number of years and this is our favorite so far!

Amazing house in the keys!!!
My family and friends all stayed at the house. We had kids in ages 10 - 2 who all did not want to leave. The dock is great for fishing off of and the just relaxing. We used the kayaks everyday and even saw a manatee while out. The house is absolutely beautiful with everything you could need. We cooked and grilled every night in the beautiful kitchen. Thank you so very much for a great stay. We cant wait to come back again.

Magical Vacation
We spent a week at the house and loved every moment of our stay. Particularly enjoyable were the kayaks from which we saw many manatees. Also enjoyed relaxing on the screened-in porch. Fixed several memorable dinners in the wonderful kitchen. Our family truly loved spending time in such a beautiful setting.

Great home to get away from it all. An enchanting tree in the back yard will help you ease the time away. Kayak and get up close to the local nature. On our stay we saw (and swam with) manatees, tarpon and a myriad of other fish, and lazy iguanas perched on the mangroves.
The kitchen is fully equiped and you can also BBQ next to the aforementioned tree.
Rooms are comfortable with clean soft sheets.
If you still need to watch TV, there's a nice setup of a huge flatscreen with Directv or play Wii or Playstation!!

Stayed at 107 Pelican in November for a small corporate retreat I coordinated. The entire house, furnishings and amenities are all first rate. My boss, sales team and especially our wives were all very impressed - felt like we stayed at a mini private resort. I trailered my boat down for some fishing and easily lauched out of the house's paved launch ramp. It was great to get to bond with my co-workers as our wives kept themselves busy shopping nearby and relaxing by the water on the beautiful teak loungechairs. One day they paddled off for hours in the kayaks exploring some of the islands on the bayside. Everything we needed was available for us to use and we all had an awesome time! We didnt want to leave! Thanks John, we will return!

As an avid angler and diver I always want to be as close to the water as possible. After staying there twice I havent found a better location for anything you want to do on the water. I can get there from my house in Miami in about 45 minutes.
Located just outside Tavernier Creek on the bayside there is also easy access to the atlantic. Bait and tackle is right on the way out at Tavernier Creek Marina. There are several dive shops in the area if you need air. On our most recent trip, we brought two boats, my 17 ft flats boat and an 23 ft center console. We had the best of both worlds and were able to do some early morning bonefishing in Florida Bay and then switch boats in the afternoon and within minutes we were outside Tavenier Creek for some offshore action and diving. There are several protected dive and snorkeling spots just minutes outside the creek. John, thanks! Hens and Chickens reef was beautiful!
This house accomodated 8 of us and there was still plenty of room. Its just huge and all newly updated with a modern look. Sorry John we ate all the snapper fillets!

The house is perfect for a family getaway. The place offers lots of room, even for 5 adults and 3 small children. The canal and views from the back patio are beautiful. The kitchen is great, and it was a treat to eat on the screened in patio overlooking the canal. We sat out on the deck and had a fire under the stars. We took the kayaks out and visited with the manatee. Great memories were made. Thanks John for everything. We'll be back!

Fabulous! I celebrated my 30th birthday at the house in August and it was fabulous. The house is beautifully remodeled with awesome backyard and trees all around. It’s a really big house! All my family and friends had their separate bedrooms for privacy and comfort. We barbequed, swam in the canal from the dock, used the kayaks to see beautiful sunsets and had a great time sitting under lit tree at nights looking at the stars. We took a day trip to key west which was a very scenic drive from the house. We also went to Morada Bay for their famous full moon party and partied at the Tiki Bar. My favorite part was feeding lettuce to the manatees right off the dock. The only negative I could think of is that I missed the turn to the house from US1 twice since the street was not clearly labeled, but once I knew where to turn, it was easy to remember. Thanks John, we hope to come back in the future.
