It was OK.

Staff and cabin was so good as expected.

The advertisement and attractions shown online including things we could hire and use for the kids were all not available. Advertisement was false.

Disappointment at Orere

On arrival Reception was pleasant. Unit was clean. Heat pump warmed unit. It was roomy for 4 people. The queen bed was comfortable. Camp was tidy and clean. Great location and facilities for families with children.

We paid for the Deluxe unit and had booked for 3 nights so was expecting a certain level of comfort. The unit was old and on closer inspection you could see the attempts that had been made to 'deluxe' it?? However the sofa pull out bed was very uncomfortable. We ended up taking the mattress off the base and putting it on the floor and one slept on the sofa and one slept on mattress. There wasn't enough cutlery for 4 people. There were only two dining chairs. The sign in room says 'leave the room clean'. In order to do that there must be tools available ie no broom, no brush and pan, no plug for sink, no toilet cleaner. Only one teatowel etc. The water pressure in shower was pitiful. We ended up going across to use the camp showers. Yes we did go to office and they supplied things we needed but it should be already in the 'deluxe' room. So disappointing in a few areas.

the religious aspect of the park was disconcerting. the facilities were basic for a top 10 Park which is more expensive

It’s very good place for family.

The Property is in the nature! The Staffs were amicable. The Lady Sunny was much helpful in all the ways.

It’s a camp. sometimes traveller don’t know that there is no restaurant nearby. it’s a great challenge. if a person can cook, he must take food with him to cook.

Exceptional

Sunny, was an absolute delight. She was very welcoming and I loved her personality to bits. She is the vibes and the kids loved her too 🥰 I loved that the campsite was a Christian based aswell. I can't fault anything about our stay. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be back one day...

Location

I booked a cabin on booking.com and we were given a very old caravan leaking halfway through the night so we all have to move to my sister's caravan too dusty baby and hubby got sick no attention given to the caravan to keep clean ask for a few $'s back but Sharon make up a lot of excuses anyways she needs the money more than we do🙄 never ever go back there 🧐😤sink in caravan was blocked too.

great location on river, near beach, near general store, and close to Auckland city very clean tidy and modern room and facilities

spa and sauna not available due to Covid but did not get this message before we arrived. could have done with another blanket on the bed. heat pump stopped working for awhile but then went fine again.
