Great visit! The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. The house had plenty of room for my family and was comfortable. It was stocked with all the things we needed.

The cabin is clean and attractive. The host is very friendly and easy to work with. The house is arranged so the lower level can accommodate children and the adults can enjoy conversation upstairs. We will definitely be coming back.

Great experience!!! Wonderful time!

We had a blast. Easy to find, close to enough to town but still traditional cabin vibes. We enjoyed the views of the forest from the front deck. Plenty of beds for the family, we'll be back for sure. Thanks for having us.

The owners of this property were very easy to contact and very pleasant to deal with.
The property is very well-maintained and beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and cooking ware that we needed. The best part about this property is the view from the outdoor patio. The view is completely unobstructed by buildings or homes. All you can see is trees mountains and sky. The mornings we were there we had Elk walking all around the property. They were exciting to see.
I will recommend this property to anyone I can.
I will definitely return!
3.0
The property is located up on a hill, and the views from the front deck are simply amazing. That certainly is the highlight of the property. Unfortunately, the deck is badly in need of restoration and the patio benches on the deck are literally falling apart. The owners or property management have put towels down on some of the benches, presumably so that guests do not get splinters. It is a shame that the views that are so beautiful come from a deck that is in desperate need of restoration.
Overall, the cleanliness of the house was good. Stay, we could not find a corkscrew/wine opener, nor could we find a cutting board, and the utensils were of a complete mishmash, with the majority of the state/cutting knives badly dulled.
The Wi-Fi was top-notch .The downstairs is a good set up for kids so they can have .their area. I only showered in the upstairs master bath shower, but the showerhead was absurdly bad. There was no stream of water instead showerhead kindness spit out the water and traveled about 10 inches.
There is no dumpster on site, so you actually have to take your trash into town and to have it thrown away. You pay $5 per bag regardless of the size so if you go that route take very large outdoor trash bags to stuff your kitchen trash bags into to you don't have as many trash bags – the other option is to take your trash with you.
The owner/property managers recommend you take your trash to "Uncle Tom's" – really ?!? This is 2022, but it also tells you a lot about attitudes in this region of the state, unfortunately sad but true commentary. At least the business next door has the decency to have a big sign out front advising to "BOYCOTT UNCLE TOM'S"
There is only one bathroom on the main floor to serve two-bedrooms and all of the guests who are spending time in the living room, dining area, or kitchen.
The owners did provide us some extra time to check out which was. Unfortunately, we forgot to pack up our Amazon fire stick, and as I write this review 3 weeks from when we checked in, I have neither received my Amazon fire stick nor received any communication that it has actually been sent. Did receive a text message saying something about an emergency, which I understand happened but, come on it has been almost 3 weeks since we left.
Pine Arizona is not as high up as Flagstaff, so the temperatures were approaching 100°. Flagstaff was 10° cooler and you don't have to worry about encountering a business called Uncle Tom's.

Easter Family Vacation
Our family had an enjoyable Easter at this property. There were 17 of us that came in six different cars. The driveway is a little steep and it first we wondered if we would all fit but it opened up very wide at the top and all six cars fit.
The sleeping arrangements were split between the three levels. We slept four in the very top level, four in the middle or main level, and nine in the basement area. Everyone had a bed and it was adequate with a restroom on each floor.
The home was extremely clean when we arrived and we tried very hard to leave it as we found it. My compliments to the owners and their workers for keeping it in such good shape. The backyard was perhaps our favorite area as we made use of the fire pit and many assorted chairs to sit around in the evening while roasting marshmallows. The terraced area in the backyard made for a perfect Easter egg hiding spots as well as relaxing.
The large dining room table made for a great place to play games and gather while others enjoy the nearby couches in the comfortable living room while watching a show or chatting. That was a bonus that all 17 of us could be in the same area relaxing and doing what we liked best.
Thank you for a very memorable weekend!

Christmas in the Pines
We spent Christmas at this wonderful cabin! It was warm and cozy, gave all the Christmas feels! Felt like I was in a Hallmark movie! The fireplace was an absolute wonderful addition! We had many families among our family in this cabin, we had plenty of room and felt so at home. The cabin is in pristine condition and very clean. The views from the balcony are absolutely gorgeous! We definitely want to return again. We will remember this Christmas forever and how it would have not been as unforgettable without this Cabin and all the memories it brought! Thank you for hosting us!

Lovely cabin!
We do an annual family northern AZ trip and this time was great! The cabin is spacious and accommodating. Elk and Javelina walked right by us! Cool to see nature so close. We were lucky enough to go right after a winter storm and had tons of snow fun right in the backyard! Comfy beds and plenty of room to relax.

Cabin looked amazing on pictures so we immediately payed in full (October for our December stay) and we were excited for our annual family trip. We received an email from the owners 1 WEEK before with pdf pages full of rules for the cabin stay that we had never seen in all 10 years of going to different cabins. -No visitors for more than 15 min or you will pay $200 and will get evicted immediately if you don’t notify them- you have to throw away your own trash from the trip at a store that was not nearby where you will be charged $5 a bag or take it home with you. Their excuse was animals but we noticed every house in the neighborhood with their trash cans out. -Owners will not provide pillows or blankets but yet, they charge a cleaning fee which includes a fee for a company that cleans their bed covers. (They claim it’s covid related but they send the covers? Why wouldn’t they send pillows or blankets?)-There are only 3 rooms in the house, the rest are beds scattered around the house. -Kitchen was small and furniture looked very run down. Table had scratches, countertops were damaged. The worst part was that we notified owner that 3 people were not going to be able to make it PRIOR TO ARRIVING. Owner charges an additional daily fee per person. I mentioned it several times during and after the stay and his response was that he would not return the money but offer us a portion of the money we overpaid, through zelle and just credit toward a future stay only if we paid outside of Vrbo. Vrbo was notified and has received pictures of all communications and photos verifying all of our issues. Vrbo contacted us and said owner has been reported and violated their policy. We had high expectations and were disappointed. Pine has many beautiful places to stay….this is not one we recommend. Extremely dissatisfied. *owner is still unresponsive to any communication and no money has been refunded for overpayment as of 2 months after stay.

A great experience
We had 12 people stay; 8 of which were children. This was such a fantastic property, it was clean spacious, and beautiful. The owners are amazing, accommodating and very easy to work with and get ahold of! My 6 year old son forgot his favorite blanket after our stay and they let me know as soon as they found it and are sending it back to us. We can’t thank them enough for their hospitality! We will definitely be renting from them again!

Nice Place to Relax & Unwind
Our family stayed at the Pine Chalet & had a great time. Jeri was very helpful with any questions we had & responded quickly. There was more than enough room for our large family & our grandkids loved having the basement rec room/bedrooms where they could hang out away from the adults. We would definetly stay here again.

Needs Maintenance
We were 5 families (10 adults and 10 kids) and stayed in the property for 2 nights and 3 days.
Here are the pros and cons of our stay:
Pros - The view from the deck is beautiful, the owner was always quick to communicate and the multiple elk sightings in and around the property was a pleasant surprise.
Cons - Unlike what the listing says, the property has only 4 bedrooms (to me a bedroom should have a door. A tiny loft or large basement with single beds don't count as bedrooms). It is ideal only for 3 families or 6 - 12 guests and no more.
The cabin has some safety hazards. The creaky deck and unstable wood rail on the deck were a concern. Three kids got hurt because of metal bed frames in the basement. Shower heads in bathrooms need replacement as water slowly trickles out of them and water in general drains slow. The home furnishings are old and probably need an upgrade.

Excellent Property for Vacation, and Rest
We enjoyed every moment at this property. We rented this property for the second time, and we found that owner upgraded a lot of things. Two new ac units were installed to cover few rooms which are NOT properly covered by central ac. Huge living space, and a lot of beds, ideal for big groups like us. We are around 20 people, even after 20 people, we felt that we had a lot of rooms. The best part of this property is the location, it is located at the top of the hill, so we had beautiful scenic views around us. It is also located very near to the wood, so very quiet. We were there for 3 nights, we found elks just at the frontyard almost every days. Very nice experience. Kudos to the owner to keep the property nice and clean. Thanks...

Septic Tank/Sewage Issue
About an hour after checking in, a "fountain" of septic water sprayed up in the yard approximately 4 feet in the air. Following was an extremely pungent odor of sewage in the cabin. This happened a second time on the second day. I called the owner and was told that it is "normal". It is not normal to have a sewage fountain in the back yard. The septic tank is obviously not maintained properly. Also, the decking around the cabin is in desperate need of repair, as the wood planks are coming up and the rusty nails are laying on the deck.
The cabin was very clean on the inside and has a beautiful view with very comfortable furnishings. Other then the septic tank issue and the condition of the deck, I would highly recommend this property.
Before booking, request the owners policy on "charging for additional guests". The price that is listed is for TWO people, even though the property listing is for a 20 person capacity.

A Wonderful Stay
This was an amazing stay for my family and I. Jeri is wonderful and personable. She communicated with me and left the lights on for us since we were coming in after dark. The cabin was lovely and the pictures do not give it justice. It’s a lovely area with breathtaking views. We had a wonderful stay!!

Very Spacious and Cozy
Enough room for a big group. Plenty of space for everyone to be together but not crowded. The view towards the Pines was amazing. We even got a glimpse of some wildlife!

Nice get away
Three generations stayed here for a mini family vacation. Overall we had a really great time. The owners were extremely accommodating and great to work with. The pictures really don’t do the house justice and we were all pleased with how nice it was in person. The kids enjoyed having their own space in the basement and the giant windows in the living room were great for watching the snowfall on the hills around us. The rooms were plenty warm enough at night without extra blankets on the beds. There are a few restrictions unique to this rental that I haven’t seen in others (nothing extreme, just unexpected) so I would suggest you read everything carefully in order to be prepared. I didn’t read all the fine print and was caught off guard by a few things. Again nothing crazy, just stuff I hadn’t come across before. Really my only complaint would be with the trash. I completely understand the logic for not providing outdoor trash containers due to wildlife making a mess of things but it was a pain to have to haul our trash to the gas station to take it out, especially with a baby in diapers. Thank goodness for gallon size ziplock baggies! That being said, I would definitely stay here again.
