We always love Jamaica Royale. We have been staying in these condos for 10+ years and on Siesta Key for 35 years. Best beach on the key. The unit was perfect for our family and had almost everything we needed. I would recommend a broom for the unit to help with keeping it clean. Until next time, Siesta Key!

This property was beautiful! So close to both the pool and the beach! We had a wonderful stay. The only complaint I would have would be that the apartment smelled funny when we arrived. However, the smell dissipated as the week progresses. All in all, enjoyed our stay greatly!

We loved staying at Jamaica Royale. This condo is in a perfect location!
We had a repair man enter our condo without warning while we were sleeping. If we would have had notice, we would have made sure were were out of the condo.

As mentioned in other reviews, the condo is dated so no surprise. It was clean with a few exceptions. The owner would be wise to make a few simple, inexpensive improvements that would result in much better reviews and consider investing in the property to get it up to realistic standards.
A few simple improvements: Check and organize the closets (very messy, need cleaning), clean underneath the vanity sinks (the master bath vanity interior was unusable), add an outdoor patio umbrella (this was the only unit without an umbrella making it impossible to enjoy the outdoor space which is unshaded), check and maintain the drains (the bathroom sinks and showers drain very slowly). Replace the entry way rug (it is time), add a few new kitchen utensils including a pizza cutter and a few more wine glasses.
OVERALL - the unit was as expected after reading the reviews, HOWEVER, we would not rent it again because the price asked creates an expectation that was not met.
INVEST IN YOUR UNIT: The upholstered furniture is not only dated it is dirty. The beds made noise with the slightest movement. There are no ceiling fans and the lighting is not sufficient.
The location is fantastic (close to beach, 3 pools, great laundry room since there is not one in unit, well maintained grounds). We would stay here again but in a different unit.

Weekend vacation
We enjoyed ourselves but felt the condo was very outdated especially the bathrooms . The exterior door was difficult to latch and it took a couple times to lock on way out. May need a new battery??

Do not stay here.
As a VRBO host I try not to leave bad reviews as I understand the difficulties of renting your house. The code to enter the unit that worked the first day didn’t work the second day. We called all the numbers from the check-in email for hours and nobody picked up. The front desk couldn’t help us and asked as to contact the property management company (again they didn’t pick up the phone). Luckily one of my friends took a picture of a paper and we found a number and she gave us a new code (note: this was not the same phone numbers from welcome email). She didn’t apologize or anything. I was on vacation 3 days and ended up locked out which resulted in me missing a boat ride that I paid for.
On top of this there wasn’t enough toilet paper, towels, or basic supplies. We had to spend time and money (Uber and cost of supply). The unit was dirty and it’s extremely dated. We stayed in the towers or Jamaica Royale last year and had a great experience. These are individually owned and managed. I would recommend finding another unit in Jamaica Royale or elsewhere. This Property Managment company is awful and the unit is not well maintained.

Just Okay
The property was not ocean front. The property was clean but needs updated in general. Furniture and window coverings are old and worn. No beach towels, microwave is cracked. I would not stay here again.

Misleading and outdated
The pictures show two towers looking towards the beach however you will not be staying there but in another apartment close to it. The pictured are misleading, in addion the unit is extremely outdated with poor air conditioning and bathrooms. The office closes at 5 so don't be late if not nobody will answer the phone or provide instructions.

Very tired
The location is great and I would stay within Jamaica Royal but not this property. The furniture creeped us out as it looked very dirty and worn. The master bathroom had several cracks in the counter that ants were crawling out of. The sheets on my sons bed were ripped. It smells like smoke right when you walk in. We have stayed in VRBO’s for the last 8 years and this is my first bad experience.

Short Walk to the Beach
Pros: Great proximity to the beach, place was clean and kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of pots, pans , blender, coffee pot, toaster . There's a beach umbrella, couple beach chairs, etc. Bedrooms are very roomy. Pools are fantastic , air conditioning worked great , great water pressure for showers .
Cons: Every outlet except for GFCI in kitchen needs replacing, cell phone/tablet chargers literally fall out the instant you let go of them, this just borders on dangerous for a shock hazard. They could go to a local hardware and get a box of them for $30.00. Microwave door is severely cracked in at least 4 places.
Badly in need of furniture upgrades. Better furniture at the goodwill then what's in Livingroom. Couch cushions are so flat you literally feel the bars of the couch. The two barrel chairs, again you sit in them and think you're going straight out the bottom. For the price you pay to stay there they could upgrade this stuff often. Paint peeling in hallway on wall, paint peeling off bottom of doors.
Headboard in smaller bedroom for full size bed is not attached to wall or bed so it just falls over . This is all basic maintenance stuff that they need to get a handle on. If housekeeping isn't telling owners this stuff then owners need to come spend a couple weeks at their own property and see what needs to be done. In seeing inside the other condos on both sides and in the same building you could see the pride of ownership in those, fresh paint , beach themed , nice furnishings. My overall rating of the complex and being on the beach is why the rating was at a 4 stars . Beach is fantastic.

Our daughters, my husband and I had an amazing time in this quaint apartment! It was perfect for the beach holiday getaway we wanted and completely walking distance to the magical Siesta Key Beach💗 Will definitely book again!!

Lots of character
The story of this particular condo is what made us love it even more. It’s been in the family for 3 generations and you can tell it’s been loved through them all. Although it’s not directly on the beach it’s a quick and pretty walk to it. Everyone there is friendly and we felt very safe there.

Vintage, compact, charming condo #91
Ignore the lump of regret growing in your throat when you first pull up to Casino Royale. Evoking vibes of a seedy old-timer motel, the sun washes away all fear we were pleased with our stay. The check in process was not great, as we arrived late and the office closes at 4pm, and we were not sent the code to access our parking pass. We were able to get into the condo and were happy with the accommodations. There was plenty of beds for our party, and the kitchen was well stocked. The guest bathroom was a bit tight, but other than that it was very nice.

Amenities in Unit barely adequate
The resort itself was fine. Proximity to beach was great. I was very disappointed in the amenities in the unit itself. There was just 1 bath towel per person and NO beach towels at all. When people come to the beach, they often are flying and cant bring beach towels along, etc. We had to buy toilet paper, as there was just one roll per bathroom, far from enough for 2 week stay. Even hotels provide enough toilet paper for the entire stay. I thought this was petty, based on the cost of the 2 week rental. Also the folks at the check in desk made it very clear to me upon arrival that they were not responsible for and had no connection to the 20+ units that were not owned/rented by them. If you booked through VRBO you were on your own in terms of service. The folks at the desk were helpful when it was time to check out, however. The sheets, bedding, etc seemed old and tired. there were plenty of dishes, glasses, cookware, etc.

We'd definitely stay here again. We had a quaint condo that filled all our needs, and it was just a short walk to the beach. Lovely landscaping. Very enjoyable. Property manager was always available to answer any questions we had.

The condo was in a great location but could have been cleaner. If you walked around barefoot at all the bottom of your feet turned black. The bathroom not in the master bedroom was super cramped. I’d stay at the location again but maybe an updated unit.

Great location, very convenient beach stay
Older unit, could be cleaner (floors)...but cozy and adequate. Short walk to beach which was amazing. Cant beat the location. Wasnt crowded at all. Pools were clean and fun. The keyless entry was a nice convenient feature. Overall, great trip and enjoyed very much.

Favorite beach, not favorite place
I was not happy with the check in process with the owner. I requested an early check in ,which was denied. Arrived at location at 3 pm and called to see if could get access and was denied again even though property was available. Will not rent from this owner or facility again

Property was beautiful and had very well manicured grounds!
The unit we stayed in was a little out of date and not well cleaned. Tfloor turned your feet black! I swept everyday but it seemed like maybe it was mopped with dirty water. I even went out and bought house slippers because my socks would also turn dark brown. The couch seemed dirty and the entire place was very dusty. I did some of my own cleaning on the first day! I liked how the property offered recycling and that the trash was in the sidewalk just outside the door. The overall property was located in the perfect location! I would vacation here again but I’d look for a different unit to stay in.

Location, facility, and beach were great!
It was only the two of us, so we really didn't need the extra bedroom and sleeping included with this unit. Better bang for the buck for a family. Nice kitchen and more private patio area then the center buildings. The unit overall was accommodating, with the wifi an updated kitchen and shower in the main bath . Rest of it very dated feeling, and the bed was most uncomfortable but I'm use to better pillows and a contouring memory foam mattress. All in all, it was a nice facility with a perfect beach and good biking from location to the Siesta Key Village. Looking forward to going back to the area!
