This second floor unit; Unit 213; at Sterling Sands Resort has NEW KITCHEN, BATHROOMS AND BEDROOMS. SEE BRAND NEW PHOTOS . You are steps away from the gorgeous white sand.
Sterling Sands is an 8 story, 112 unit complex built in 1995 and is one of the most desired buildings in the Destin area. It is a mid-sized building with all of the amenities and is close to everything that is 'Destin'.
This gorgeous Condo is decorated and equipped with everything you may need! The kitchen is fully equipped and features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops with an extra deep sink and eat-in bar. Our dining area will seat six comfortably and there is also a wet bar in the family room with an under-counter wine & beverage cooler for storing those extra beverages. The beautiful furnishings are brand new as of THIS YEAR as are all of the bedding and window treatments with blackout lining. The den features a leather pull out Queen sofa bed along with 2 comfy chairs, all with a panoramic view of the Gulf. The family room has a 55' flat screen with surround sound that plays all your DVD's, CD's, radio and IPod/MP3's.
The master bedroom has a king size sleigh bed with a new, top of the line mattress, chest, and a huge walk in closet. There is also a 50' flat screen with DVD for your enjoyment. The huge master bath has a jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and extra dressing area just outside the bathroom. The guest bedroom has a brand new King bed & mattress with plenty of room for a portable baby bed if needed. It also has a 42" flat screen TV.

This was our first time to Destin and Ricks condo did not disappoint. Pictures do not do it justice. Perfect location with direct beach access. Property well kept and with amenities. For a family of 5 with small kids this was perfect. We were able to cook breakfast and enjoy beach with included beach services. Then come make lunch and head straight back to the beach. The beach is absolutely beautiful with the clearest water and softest sand. We were also able to enjoy the pool and hot tub which were both also amazing. We hope to be back, this was definitely a family favorite vacation spot.

We enjoyed staying at this property for our Destin vacation. Some of fhe highlights of our stay included:

Rick was so accommodating in letting us get into the condo early. We have a 2 year old and it really helped getting a place for a nap (iykyk)
He had everything you could need. We cooked a few days and didn’t lack any supplies. The beds were very comfortable and views great. Family friendly people were there as well. Extremely clean. Couldn’t recommend enough.
The only thing we didn’t find were any beach towels so remember to bring tour own.
If you have toddlers, I will say the waters here were a little more rough and didn’t have a calm sand bar like we’ve had in other condos. Not a negative to this listing just something to note if you have little ones.

This condo could not have been better for our visit to Destin. From initial contact with the property owner through to the end of our stay, all information was quick, clear, complete and very friendly.
The location was perfect; second floor right on the ocean with two sets of patio doors, with plenty of chairs and tables on the balcony was extra special.
The entire unit was spotless, updated and had all the conveniences we are accustomed to. Access to the condo, the beach, the pool and the fitness center couldn’t be easier. The enhanced security measures are nice, but certainly didn’t feel the need - we were comfortable and at ease day and night.
The location is excellent, close to all the local attractions and within walking distance to many.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Stunning condo, clean and beautifully decorated, tons of storage. The kitchen is so well stocked, literally everything needed to cook for a group. It was so nice to find salt/pepper, spices, cooking spray, etc…
We also had meals on the lovely balcony with comfortable furniture, watching dolphins every morning! We will definitely be staying here again!

We had the most wonderful stay! The condo was clean, bright, updated, and stocked with everything that we needed. Rick was excellent with communication, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of there. Our view…10/10! We watched dolphins every single morning. We loved that this unit was on the second floor and near the stairs with our young children. It was nice not having to wait for an elevator every single time we loved the property or went down to the pool/beach. Our family especially loved that the beach chairs were included! The kids had a blast in the pool and enjoyed shaved ice that was offered on the property. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Rick :)

Summarizing this vacay is going to be hard! We had the best time staying in Rick Elliott's condo at Sterling Sands! This is our 4th season coming to Destin in October, and it was our best! Rick's condo is absolute PERFECTION! It's spacious and beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean. The master bedroom is on the beach side of the condo and we were able to wake up, pull the curtains, and see the ocean first thing in the morning! The beds are really comfortable! I have a bad back and was able to sleep comfortably! Rick is a very attentive host. He checked in with us first thing to make sure we were happy with our accommodations. Having a covered parking spot was a nice plus as well! We have stayed at Sterling Sands for the last 3 seasons and have now found our favorite condo! We will book again with Rick!

There are many objective topics to discuss-all of them positive for us-location, decor, amenities, even the ease of check in. And while we found all of these to be exactly what we wanted and imagined-your mileage will vary so I will stick to the subjective.
Communication with the owner was always prompt and clear-at no point were we confused by directions or expectations. I would go so far as to say the interactions were also friendly, warm, and courteous.
Location of the property is in the central part of town-three miles of either side is all the further you need to travel to access a variety of entertainment places, department stores, groceries, pharmacy, souvenirs, and restaurants. The airport is an easy drive as well.
The linens are fresh and crisp, the kitchen is well appointed for both cooking and dining, and-HUGE bonus for me-the ice machine in the freezer cranks out a ton of ice in a short while!
The balcony is very large and will easily fit 5 adults.
The beach sands and water are as you expect them to be in Destin-this is why you are here, after all. The beach service (umbrellas and chairs, shaved ice, and some water sport rentals) was also timely, friendly, and professional.
Overall, we had an excellent stay in an excellent location provided by an excellent host.
You will be hard pressed to find a better experience.

Smooth check in process, comfortable, well appointed condo which makes it nice for cooking and eating at home if desired, fabulous views (including dolphins) clean beach, warm pool and hot tub for our chilly days, great communication, quiet - all the makings for a perfect vacation! Just add sun!

Chose this property for our anniversary trip. Rick was very accommodating and easy to work with, views and ease of access cannot be beat. Only negative is last day no pool use due to the pool losing a foot of water, but that is out of his control. Do not hesitate to book this property.

Another great stay!
Once again, this condo does not disappoint. Great communication with owner. Some little issues, but nothing that would keep me from booking again. Ceiling lights in second bedroom weren’t working. Maintenance came to check and couldn’t figure it out (no big deal, there were lamps for lighting). Don’t hesitate.

Spacious with a great view.
The condo was exactly as pictured on VRBO which is refreshing. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit which gave all us privacy. We cooked a few nights and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The balcony is large and the view is great. Rick was excellent to communicate with. Which again is refreshing as you don’t always have this. Overall a great vacation.

This condo had THE BEST location for easy, enjoyable relaxation and beach access. Even with the occasional storms, you can still sit on the beautiful porch and watch the waves roll in, have your morning coffee or afternoon toddy and/or sit by the pool. It is close to everything Destin visitors would want; many restaurants and activities within walking distance. The owner was prompt and available at all times and made sure everything was in order for our arrival. Will most definitely put this on our return list! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Almost totally Amazing!
The unit is very nice and the view is absolutely fantastic. The condo wasn’t very thoroughly cleaned when we got there but the owner had the cleaning person back to the unit within the hour. The only problem was that she argued about the cleanliness when she got there. There was a French fry on the floor and and the counter was sticky with food. And there was hair in the master bath tub.
After all that everything went really well. The unit and furniture is all in good condition. The beach service is huge plus and the beach itself is very clean and nice. Watch for dolphins in the mornings.
The fitness center is unremarkable but available. The pool is very nice. There are tons of places to eat nearby and there is plenty of entertainment.
There were not enough pillows but we left some behind.
Overall we would definitely return. The beach and the unit were nice and the owner was easy to get a hold of and very pleasant to deal with.

The condo is exactly how it was described online. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the porch and how large it was. Plenty of room for everybody to sit out there and enjoy the view. The communication with the owner and the property manager was excellent. Keyless entry made checking in a breeze.

Very nice & clean condo off the beach
We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect view and love being close to the beach. The place was very clean. Kitchen had what we needed to cook some meals. Rick was always responsive. Loving having the chair service included. Would book again when we return.

Clean with a great view but adds additional fees
The condo was nice and clean, but I wasn’t pleased that I had to purchase property insurance in order to book this condo. I also had to pay an additional fee per guest for wristbands to access the pool and beach area.

Perfect spot for our family vacation!! The rooms were spacious & wonderful! The large bathrooms were an even bigger bonus! Great kitchen! The beach was absolutely amazing, the chairs everyday made the perfect lounging spot for time at the beach! Family really enjoyed the pool area! Right in the middle of everything without being to busy! Would definitely stay here again in Destin!!

The property was in great condition when my family of 5 arrived, the owner was great and very responsive to any requests I sent his way. The view is amazing, I spent much of my time absorbing it on the beautiful deck overlooking the pool (which was great because I could watch my kids from there). The beach service is so nice to have included, as it keeps a Dad from lugging too much beach gear around. Overall, we had a fun, relaxing, and most of all memorable week that this unit served as the backdrop for!

MUST STAY HERE!!!!!!
First off, I’d like to thank Rick Elliot. He was very prompt about communication, and made sure you were checked in and alright. The condo is clean, spacious, and has an amazing view. The master bath- is like a mini spa. Ocean front, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding- you can not go wrong with renting this humble abode. Also, to throw it in, I left some contacts and Rick helped me retrieved my prescription contacts back. Very friendly host and even better condo. Worth every dime. I’ve always jumped around Destin with condos the last five years, but I found my forever summer at this place.
