About this bed and breakfast

A private setting in a detached home on a wonderful street! The longer the reservation the better, please contact for details.

To answer the most common question, yes, we are 'steps' away: 80 medium sized steps for me! The beach is down a sandy path and is a one of the world's best. We are located near the beach park in Kailua.

The unit is a freestanding, not connected to the main home. It has its own entrance from the street. It is very private!

The main part of the house is an 'L' shaped room with the kitchen at one end and a queen-size bed at the other. The middle of the ‘L’ has a sofa and chair. The separate bedroom has two twin beds. The kitchen and bath have been remodeled and look great! There kitchen is equipped with anything you need for cooking. There is a TV with cable and wireless internet connection. The inside is very nice. There is a new washer and dryer in the garage. There is parking for one car on the street. You can search for more pictures.

There are vendors within walking distance for windsurfing equipment. There are plenty of good restaurants in Kailua we can tell you about when you are here.

No Smoking in the guesthouse or on the premises please.

The pictures and description of the accommodations and surrounding area are spot on. Quick walk down to Kailua beach (and Lanikai beach) and a quick walk into town to the restaurants and grocery stores etc. Bus stop is near by as is the rental shop for kayaks, surf boards etc. Lisa and Mark were quick to respond to any concerns. We would stay here again if we have an opportunity to vacation on Oahu again. Thanks again, Mark & Lisa

We enjoyed being so close to the beach. The guest house was comfortable and quiet with a well stocked kitchen. Mark was very responsive when we had questions. We hope to stay again!

This property is in the perfect location. Literally just steps to the private beach and a short walk to the market. It was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Would stay here again!

It was really wonderful location access to Kailua Beach, and very quiet neighborhood. There is enough space for a couple of people inside and outside. Only missing item is A/C. The fans didn't help to make inside cool, and it was a little difficult to keep sleeping all night long. My wife and I would like to come back here again if it will have A/C at least in bed room.

The property is literally steps from the private beach access. Cute and quaint guesthouse. Only issue with going during the summer is there was no ac and even with the windows open all day/night, the crosswinds didn’t help cool down the inside. However, there’s an abundance of fans at your disposal that we were able to use to help circulate air. But Oahu is phenomenal, snorkeled using the gear provided at the house, did a lot of hiking, kayaking and swimming. The market is a block away to grab sandwiches, snacks and any toiletries we forgot and Buzz’s is a short walk or drive down the road! Great time. Thx Mark!

Everything was great about our stay at this property in Kailua. It is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Oahu. The house was comfortable and provided everything needed for our stay. We had plenty of privacy and the property was extremely quiet.

I was immediately impressed when we first walked in as to how spotlessly clean the unit was. This is the exact location we were looking for in Kailua…a quiet street and just a few steps out the front door to the beach path. Next time we come to Kailua, we plan to stay here again.

This was a fabulous place to stay! It is truly just steps to a beautiful sandy beach. It is also walking distance to restaurants and kayak/snorkeling rentals. Also a nice location to travel to other parts of the island. Loved it! The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable.

This VRBO has an excellent location in Kailua. It truly is steps from the gorgeous beach and the shortest walk to Kalapawai Market and the cute shops and shave ice on Kailua Rd. It is spacious-(plenty of room for 2 and probably great for up to 4), clean and well equiped. A true gem!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property and the location was outstanding…a short 2 min walk to beautiful Kailua Beach and right around the corner for Kalapawai Market. The unit was very clean and larger than expected. Our party of 3 had plenty of room and privacy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals and we enjoyed playing cards at night around the large kitchen table. We appreciated the well stocked linens, paper products and beach gear. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chatting with them a couple times during our visit. They left us plenty of space and privacy throughout our stay. We would definitely choose this property again, the next time we stay in Kailua. The only suggestions we could think of were hanging a mirror in the twin beds bedroom and maybe a couple of new beach chairs. Everything was great - thank you for a wonderful time!

This is a lovely cottage in Kailua just steps from the famous and beautiful Kailua Beach. The cottage has a large one bedroom with two single beds. There is another queen size bed in a nook off the living room TV area which is next to the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher. The bathroom is long with a bathtub/shower on one end and toilet on the other end and a long sink area in the middle. There is no washer/dryer or air condition but there are plenty of fans available. There are also plenty of towels and beach towels and three boogie boards in the back yard. Mark was very nice and accommodating and available to answer any questions or help if needed. I would recommend this cottage especially for the prime location and cleanliness of the cottage almost right on the beach!

The house was spotless. The location was close to the beach, just down a sandy path and a short walk to town, about a mile. The owner was always quick to answer my questions and very friendly. Kailua is our favorite place on Oahu with a beautiful beach. This house was the perfect place to enjoy all that Kailua offers and will definitely plan to stay again at this rental.

The location of this beach rental puts it in a class by itself. The beach is steps away and is the best we have ever seen. Mark was very helpful and flexible and the value offered by this property is incredible.

This was our second attempt at traveling to Hawaii since our first trip had to be cancelled. We lucked out at the last minute and scored this cottage and ended up closer to the beach and in the area we wanted. Plenty of beds and amenities for my wife and two kids. It has a nice little parking spot for a car, but I don’t recommend anything bigger than a Toyota Corolla like we had. The walk to the beach is short as well as the market for treats or a quick lunch. We enjoyed the little backyard area which is good for reading a book or a yoga session. Even though our trip was on the shorter side, it felt like time slowed down. Guys from work said I looked ten years younger once I got there. Definitely recommend a visit. Communication with the host is quick and easy.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The accommodations were comfortable, spacious, and bright! Everything we could ever need was thoughtfully provided. The location cannot be beat- literally steps to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen! We loved our week here and hope to come back sometime!
