About this house rental

Our two-story 4-bedroom home in Tahoe Donner is perfect for a family or two families vacationing together. It has a master bedroom upstairs and three bedrooms downstairs, a separate family room where the kids can watch TV, and a hot tub on the back deck.

Upstairs, the main living area has vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a stone fireplace. The kitchen has a solid-surface cooktop, and is well-equipped with everything from stainless steel pots & pans to a tortilla press. We keep our knives sharp, and have an easy-to-use electric sharpener on hand if needed.

Downstairs, you'll find a family room with a fireplace, cable TV, and a cabinet stocked with games and puzzles.

• Master (upstairs): California King bed. Adjoining bath with shower and two sinks.
• Guest 2 (downstairs): Queen bed
• Guest 3 (downstairs): Queen bed
• Guest 4 (downstairs): Twin-over-queen bunk bed.

The downstairs family room also has a sleeper-sofa with a pull-out double bed. All downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with two sinks and a tub/shower.

Guests have access (for a fee) to the Tahoe Donner Recreation Center: pool, fitness center, tennis, 18-hole golf course, equestrian center, family movie nights, and more.

The house is beautiful and spacious. There are lovely views of the sunrise off the rear deck. It was also a breezy spot for hanging out. The owner communicated promptly before and during our stay. The kitchen was stocked better than the majority of homes I’ve stayed in. The bathroom amenities were a nice touch. And since we like to travel with Otis we appreciate a pet friendly location. We also appreciated access to The TroutCreek recreation facilities. Our only negative, keeping in mind that there was a record heat wave, was the lack of an AC.

4 adults, 2 kids under 5 and a dog! Awesome!!!! Property was well stocked so we only needed to pick up a few essentials. Everyone loved the hot tub! Roasted marshmallows and s’mores all around. Bentley, the mascot, participated in several activities. Very apparent that the owner, Jack and his family, wanted his guests to feel at home and enjoy their stay. Thank you, Jack and family (and Bentley)!

We just returned from a wonderful four night stay at this truly relaxing and beautiful vacation home. It has to be one of my absolute favorite homes I’ve ever stayed in with my family. The house had four nice size bedrooms, a very large media room, a well stocked bright kichen, a very comfortable living room, and a gorgeous back deck with lovely views of pine trees and the mountain tops. The owner was prompt with checking in with us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and to ask if we had any questions about the property. We really appreciated his hospitality and open communication during our stay. My family and I will definitely like to return to this house for future trips to Donner Lake. The house is very close proximity to the lake, shops, and many of our favorite restaurants in downtown Truckee. Lastly we enjoyed the very clean hot tub located on the bottom deck. It was set to a comfortable temperature and has been well maintained. Overall, I would give this home an exceptional rating and can’t wait to stay there again!

We stayed as a group of 4 couples and had an amazing time. The place is perfect for group hanging out. The kitchen is open and easy to cook in, the hot tub is delightful, and the bedrooms are comfortable. No complaints! Would rent again!

Awesome house in an awesome spot. To be in Donner, up high but also so close to the highway and Truckee was ideal. House is fantastic - perfect set up. Killer deck. We’ll def rebook this spot next time we head to Tahoe.

I have never had a more perfect vacation rental experience. From beginning to end, this was a breeze to book, communication was exceptional, the house is absolutely breathtaking, no details were lost, and everything was fully stocked. We came as a party of nine to go snowboarding for the last time this season and had beautiful, fluffy snow around us. In April, we played wonderful games, enjoyed amazing food, and got a chance to reconnect which we don’t always get to do. This property is perfection.

We and our three adult kids and 2 spouses had a wonderful Tahoe Donner weekend at this lovely home. Great location, great layout, fully equipped for two eat-in dinners. We’ve rented a few other nearby homes with hot tubs and, more often than not, they either don’t work or are on the cool side. This hot tub was great, nice and hot and a spectacular view. Would definitely rent again !

We had a wonderful time at this cabin and would love to be back again! The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The hot tub was very clean, and my family really enjoyed it especially after a long day on the slope! There are plenty of space for everyone and a big plus for the downstairs family room where kids can play while the adults are upstairs to enjoy a glass of wine in some peace & quiet :)

The cabin was fantastic! My family came for ski week and had a great time. The cabin was well provisioned and well kept. The check-in process was seamless and the owner checked in to make sure everything was good. Will definitely stay here again. I usually don’t write reviews but the owner was such a pleasure to deal with so I figured I would.

The house is well kept and in a great location. We enjoyed being on one of the quieter streets with a great view of the Donner area. The cabin is very comfortable and the hot tub was very popular after skiing. The hosts are easy to communicate with and very helpful

Our ski group has been staying at vacation rental homes in the Lake Tahoe area since the year 2000 and this is, hands down, one of the best ones that we have ever rented. Living Space - Excellent Cleanliness - Excellent Furnishings - Excellent Kitchen - Excellent Bathrooms - Excellent Beds - Excellent Fireplaces - Excellent TV's and gaming equip - Excellent Hot Tub - Excellent Owners - Excellent Just one comment that is not a negative but something to keep in mind. This is a beautiful mountain home set at a high elevation which means that in the winter you must have a vehicle with adequate winter traction to access the house.

We had a great stay and we’re lucky to have a snow storm while there to make a great ski week. The house was great for our family and my sons college friends. The lower level allowed the college kids to do their thing. The hot tub was nice to soothe our sore muscles after a day of skiing. Will stay again.

We spent three nights here in the lead-up to Christmas with 2 kids ages 7 and 10, my husband and I, and my 90-year-old mother-in-law. The house was spacious and very comfortable for us - plenty of room for an additional family had we wanted to invite others. We loved the hot tub on the lower deck and the house’s proximity to Truckee and all of Tahoe’s beauty. Very close to Northstar, the historic Donner Summit, and a short drive over to Incline Village and Sand Harbor, where we enjoyed some time outside. Jack was awesome and available for any questions we had. I hope we can return here again in the coming years.

We stayed here for a weekend with 3 other couples. The cabin was amazing and picturesque. Between morning walks around the area, going to Tahoe City (20 minutes) and the palisades (10-15 minutes) or just lounging in the cabin/hot tub this rental made for the most perfect weekend! We will definitely be back. Already thinking about our next trip with the kids!

Truckee was a new destination for our annual ladies getaway. Skislope house was very spacious with everything we needed and a great location for getting away, but also convenient enough to run into town for shopping and great food. Would definitely stay there again.

This house was amazing!!! Just a gorgeous spot, the views out the windows and from the back deck were amazing! This is a perfect spot for a family get together, there's a comfy upstairs family room, plus a great room downstairs where the kids can hang out. The hot tub was really nice, it's a Hot Springs Spa. Only thing we needed were more ice cube trays, but other than that it was 100% perfect!!!

The home was perfect for our family! The downstairs family room was perfect for our granddaughters. We all enjoyed the hot tub too. The house could have used a thorough deep cleaning. The bathroom window sills had dead bugs on them & the floors in the bathrooms had dirt on them. The gas grill was filthy & there were tongs in the barbeque that hadn’t been cleaned. There was also a small zip lock bag of small tomatoes that had been left on the entry table. The kitchen & laundry room & bathrooms were well stocked with soap, paper towels , spices & towels. The hot tub was clean & ready for use. We would definitely stay there again!

Home was the perfect size for a big family and it you are looking for a neighborhood with close neighbors all around, this location would be great. Very close to town. The garbage was completely full when we arrived so it was difficult to add our garbage inside the bear box. The garbage collectors didn't pick up on the day and a lot of other owners had a "YES" which we didn't know if this was the case for all garbage owners to put out a sign. We did have a visitor, a bear, that wanted inside the house so that was exciting and also scary.

Lovely home perfect for our group of 10. Well-stocked kitchen, tons of games, and towels for hot tub were appreciated. Beware the upstairs room gets quite warm while the heater is on for the cold downstairs. There were quite a few spiderwebs & spider friends (although to be expected in the woods this time of year). Host was extremely accommodating and communicative.

We had an amazing stay! Gorgeous home with a nice layout and plenty of space. We especially loved the tv/game room in close proximity to the hot tub, spacious kitchen/dining area, and comfortable beds. Highly recommend for families!
