About this house rental
Executive living at an affordable price... and this location couldn't be better! Blocks from the park and campus, a quick hop onto highway 36. The home was completely taken down to the studs and rebuilt in 2014, so everything is practically brand new--including the landscaping and garage. Enjoy this classic, quiet and mature neighborhood, while living in brand new surroundings.
The home is open and inviting, with high ceilings in the main area (kitchen, dining room, living room). Beautiful hardwood runs throughout the house and master bedroom; only the guest bedroom has carpet. Pantries, rooms, and closets all feature beautiful hardwood doors.
The kitchen features a wine cooler, granite countertops, and top-end appliances. Enjoy the gas stove as you cook fantastic meals, and you will find the pantry fully stocked with spices, cookbooks, and more. You will also find all of the pots, pans, dishes you will need to enjoy dining at home, including an Instant and vacuum sealer!
Sit at the glass dining room table (expands to six, or contracts to seat just four) with black leather and chrome chairs, or enjoy a more casual dining experience at the granite counter top on black leather barstools. You will love entertaining (even yourself!) in the beautiful kitchen, and work at the kitchen island to cook or entertain.
You will find a pocket office tucked behind closed doors, with highspeed internet/WiFi and a printer. Enjoy natural light streaming in from the window as you work.
The living room features a beautiful gas fireplace, which you can enjoy on the comfortable leather sofa and chairs (splashed with colorful pillows, of course). Watch cable on the large flatscreen TV or pop in a DVD to the DVD player. If you would rather listen to music, you can access your entire music collection via the Sonos app and stereo system.
Two bathrooms feature beautiful tile on the floor and in the shower/tub areas. The master bathroom has a huge shower, featuring a rain forest shower head as well as a regular shower head. Walk through the bathroom to the walk-in closet, featuring skylights for beautiful natural daylight. Another skylight shines above the two sinks and heated floors. The toilet is separated by a beautiful wooden pocket door.
The guest bath has a tub, with beautiful detailed tiles. Both bathrooms are fully stocked with gray and sea-blue towels, complementing the tiles.
Two people will sleep very comfortably on the new, high-end queen mattress in the master bedroom. Step outside the master bedroom to your own small deck and enjoy the backyard and light. Two night stands, and a Sonos speaker will help you enjoy reading and music in bed.
One or two additional guests will sleep well in the second bedroom, on the trundle day-bed. The trundle pops up to make the daybed king-sized, or just sleep comfortably on the twin mattress. Enjoy loads of natural light through the south-facing windows in this room.
If you would rather be outside, the backyard will make for a great second space. Grill on the charcoal Weber grill, and enjoy sitting and eating on the beautiful stone deck, where you will find table and chairs (4) as well as a chaise lounge. If you have a green thumb, enjoy the gardening beds.
The extra long garage leaves you room for your bikes and sporting equipment, or will provide a bit of extra storage for your belongings. An extra off-street parking pad is available next to the garage. If you have an electric car, we have have the plug to charge you up in the garage!
Location, Location, Location!! This home is perfectly situated—easy access to everything you need: nature, shopping, restaurants, highway 36. Walk to Chautauqua park and enjoy hiking in the hills. Or walk to Campus to enjoy the vibe of learning and energy. Starbucks is four blocks away, or you can walk to the Hill. Jump on 28th and head up to the shopping center, or head North on Broadway to get to Pearl Street. Highway 36 is easy to access, if you need to head to downtown Denver or the airport. You won’t spend time commuting from North Boulder to get out of town when you need to. Columbine is a very quiet road; there is no access to Broadway, so only neighborhood traffic moves through the street.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house had all the amenities and comforts of home and is very conveniently located to all, especially to Chautauqua park and trails. The host was extremely gracious and very easy to communicate with. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Wonderful Experience and Great Property.....
This property was fantastic. Everything was handled so smoothly and the property itself was great. It is well provisioned and super comfortable. We were there for several months and there was never a problem or issue. The location is very convenient to CU and to Downtown Boulder as well as South Boulder and the Baseline corridor. The hosts are wonderful and easy to work with. We highly recommend this property for either short or long term.

Joel and I adored this sweet little house in Boulder. We are avid hikers, so the location was perfect for us. On many days we walked from the house up to the Chatauqua area where we hiked a variety of trails near the Flatirons. We were also able to explore the Nederland area, which is only 30 minutes away. Finally, we did some amazing hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park, about 90 minutes away.
We also enjoyed a variety of bicycle trails that were not far from the house. And each day when we returned to this house, we benefited from cooking wonderful meals in the beautiful kitchen. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed, and then some. We were extremely comfortable during our one month stay, and only wished we could have stayed longer.

Cute home filled with luxuries, in a fantastic quiet neighborhood
We had an extended stay here for 4 months this summer, and enjoyed it all! From the beginning, Kathleen was very communicative and friendly, and immediately helpful if we had questions or any issues.
The home has a great sense of space, with open concept, large kitchen and good lighting. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, vinegars and oil, and some basic pantry items like sugar and flour. We used some staples and also left some staples, to share with future guests. The cookware is the best I've seen in any VRBO, with non-stick pots and pans and a cast iron skillet for those times when you don't go out to eat or get take out, and there are lots of fun coffee mugs and even margarita glasses. There's a blender too! We rarely ate at the dining table, because we were usually enjoying the great backyard patio, where we grilled frequently. The garage came in very handy to store some of our "play things" like bikes, fishing gear, and hiking gear. You can either park in the garage or along side it on the parking pad. Returning back inside the home, the living space is comfortable with a great gas fireplace to add ambiance and warmth for those chilly days! The master bed is VERY comfortable, and the master bath and shower are FABULOUS! You basically just want to stand under the waterfall forever, especially after a long hike or day of fishing. It wasn't cold enough during our stay to think of using the heated floors in the master bath, but I'm sure it's amazing! The neighborhood is definitely safe, easily walkable, and just a few short blocks to get up to Chautauqua trailheads for a hike or to eat at their great restaurant. The location is the best in Boulder! I would highly recommend this home for any of your vacation needs. You will love it! Hopefully we'll be able to return again soon!

Perfect cozy and super well kept house near hiking and university!
This house is perfect. Tucked away in a walking neighborhood, with easy access to Flat Iron hiking and the university. The house is located on a quiet street, hardly any traffic, the kitchen is beautifully appointed, everything you could need for cooking, a large living room with fireplace, and a private sunny backyard. Good sized garage too! The master bedroom is private and comfortable and the master bathroom and shower are to die for. We are academics and stayed there for our sabbatical. It was the best. We walked to the university and took hikes every afternoon in the hills out the backdoor! What more could you ask for?! Can't say enough positive things about the property and the house. It is kept clean and in mint condition. Kathleen is on top of everything and so very welcoming.

My Chautauqua Stay
From beginning to end this was an ideal experience! The charming home was exactly as advertised in every way and more. It was impeccably clean, well appointed with every convenience. The location was perfectly situated between the Flatirons and the CU campus. My communications with the owner, Kathleen, were timely and wonderfully accommodating. I definitely plan to stay here again!

Beautiful bungalow in a quiet neighborhood
Our family had a wonderful summer (June-Aug) living at Kathleen's house in Boulder. The home is beautiful, clean, and well designed. The private backyard and stand-alone garage were a huge plus for us. We walked to the Kohler Mesa Trail and to Chautauqua for hikes and trail runs. The SKIP bus is about a 7 minute walk down the street and I took it regularly to work in South Boulder and to downtown Pearl Street/Boulder Creek Trail. The kitchen is very well-stocked with utensils, cookware, and place settings and the pantry had a number of staples already available. The master bed is very comfortable, and the trundle bed in the guest room came in handy when guests came to visit one weekend. The tree-lined neighborhood is very quiet and safe and every neighbor we met was super friendly.
I highly recommend Kathleen's place for extended stays in Boulder, it's truly like a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again!

A peaceful retreat in a beautiful location - I will miss this house!
The listing describes this house as a gem, and it is! I stayed here for several months on a business trip, and from the minute I stepped through the door, I felt like I was home. The house is so thoughtfully designed, and well laid out - it's small on square footage but in its way, it is bigger than many other houses, because it flows so nicely.
The kitchen is extremely well appointed, and you can find any tool you need here. The living area is comfortable and pretty. The master bedroom - it is VERY special. Comfortable, pretty, quiet and with extremely lovely appointments. The bathroom off of the master is luxurious. I could go on and on and on. But, if you are looking for an elegant, thoughtful, comfortable place to stay, look no further. You cannot beat this location, and you will love staying at the gorgeous home. Everything the owner claims about it is true. I would have stayed here forever if circumstances allowed - if you are lucky enough to be able to book this place, grab it!

Clean, Modern, Beautiful
We loved our stay here! The location is great! We loved walking to the Chautauqua for hikes, concerts and dining. Kathleen was an excellent host. She was very quick to respond through the entire process. The house had everything we needed and more... we even found an outlet in the garage for our electric car! The wifi was very strong and the office nook was perfect for all of our work needs. The outdoor space was wonderful as well. I would love to stay here again and will recommend this property.

A GEM IT WAS !
This was not my first VRBO. experience, but it was the BEST!
My husband and I wanted to rent a home in Boulder to be with family and friends. When I came upon the listing of this charming home in Lower Chautauqua I knew it would be perfect for us in terms of location to Chautauqua, the University, and Pearl St. ( Be sure to check out the beautiful , historic, and restored Dining Hall in Chautauqua serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
From my first inquiry to our final thank you, I could not have been more pleased. Kathleen, the owner, was very responsive and friendly. There happened to be a heavy spring snow the day before we arrived. She made certain debris was cleared and walked shoveled.... so very much appreciated! It is often said " if it looks to good to be true, it probably is"... Not the case here.
Everything about the home is perfect. The finishes are beautiful. The kitchen, the heart of the home, is gorgeous! Loved the gas fireplace ,activated with a flip of a switch , and the Sonos Sound System which even this grandma was able to figure out.
The office space is such an added bonus, as well. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and has a very pretty backyard with a wonderful garage and an extra parking space at the back..(great idea!)
Kathleen has thought of everything, making our stay feel as if we were at home.
Thank you for sharing your darling home with us.
We will be back!

Great house in a great location!
This house had everything we needed to get us started on our relocation to Boulder. It is a beautiful property conveniently situated in the Chatauqua area with easy access to trails and shopping amenities. The house is newly renovated so is modern and clean, and is well equipped with kitchen, laundry and entertainment facilities. The small home office is also well equipped and an additional bonus. We stayed in summer and the beautiful outdoor area was a great place to hang out. The owner was very helpful and friendly and always replied promptly to all of our enquiries. We had a fantastic time here and highly recommend it!
