We liked the cafe at the Surf Lifesaving Club - excellent coffee and cakes. Also liked being so close to the beach and being able to see and hear the beach from our cabin.
The cabin was smaller that we expected. We used the 2nd bedroom as our wardrobe. I would hate to share the cabin with kids. The bathroom was basically too small for just the 2 of us.,

Good location right on the beach, grass areas around the cabins to sit were lovely and the caravan park wasn't packed in with too many cabins and vans. There was a lovely view looking over the beach. Right next to the golf course, handy if you enjoy a game. The cabins are newly renovated.
The cabin was too small for 5 people although it sleeps 6 there really isn't any space to put luggage. it would be fine for a family with 2 small kids but not 5 adults, there was only one bbq area working. The cabin also seemed a little dusty, the fly screens need a good clean, There also wasn't enough kitchen equipment, salad bowls etc. The front veranda was nice to sit at with a nice out look although only 2 outdoor chairs and a small table, so again not accommodating 5 or 6 people to sit at. If accommodation is advertised to sleep 6, then it should accommodate 6 people in every extent.

We were in one of the ‘Paradise Luxury’ cabins on the hill. Roomy, clean and very comfortable. Abundance of storage. Very good kitchen. Comfortable lounge. Deck and main room looking out to the beach. Perfect place to relax.
The bed was very comfortable.
Location was fantastic as were the views. Surf club coffee shop and beach a short walk.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Wifi was good.
Nothing.

Location of the second cabin we stayed in as had a view.
Asked for an upgrade as that’s the cabin I thought I’d booked.
No privacy in initial cabin given.
No views, could have been better if shrubs cut back a bit.
Very hot in bedrooms as no fans.
Was given one upright fan when asked.
Main bbq not working..
Very tight parking between cabins.
Horrible uncomfortable chairs on verandah.
Hence sitting on the floor was more comfortable…
Main sitting area no blockout blind only a cane one.
Very glared and no privacy.
Toilet leaking.

Location was superb at the beach front cabin. The bathroom facilities were great and the shower had great water pressure with a powerful ceiling fan. The kitchen was well stocked with items you would need.
A privacy screen on one side of the deck would have been good so you weren’t looking in on the neighbours or them on you.

Fast alles
Esstisch war nicht abgewischt.

Great location, relaxed and not too busy.
Not enough bbq facilities (one was out of order) - cabins quite small with a lounge that was too small for a family. Would definitely upgrade to bigger cabin next time.

Nice and clean cabin with cooking facilities
I paid extra for the oceanfront cabin.
it was on the end so didn't really have any view of the ocean, but was still nice to sit on the little balcony.
not sure I'd pay the extra fee next time.

The views from the villa were amazing. The villa was very clean, the bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated. The main bed was comfortable.
The shower rail and curtain were on the floor of the shower when we arrived, we tried to fix it but it fell down during the night causing some concern as to what was the noise. The microwave gave a funny burning smell during use on Friday night and could not be used again. The see through, fake plastic bamboo blinds in the bedroom were useless at giving one privacy when dressing or undressing this was done in the dark as there were people in villa next to this bedroom window. Roll down block out blinds need to be used in ALL bedrooms, it is not dark enough and when lying in bed you can easily see the nearly villas, plus lights etc. Very uncomfortable feeling. The bunk mattresses need to be thicker so you dont feel you are lying on the slats. The air conditioner was an old "in the wall" type and was horrendously noisy when turned on, it drowned out the TV, so the choice was freeze or turn the TV up loud enough to hear it - thus risk disturbing other campers.

Very close to the beach, friendly staff, good value and the nearby cafe is excellent. 2nd time we've stayed and we'll come again.

The location is fantastic.
The on-site manager assisted with moving our accommodation as it was different to images provided with no privacy nor blackout windows coverings.
The windows coverings were see-through blinds and offered no privacy. Different to those pictured.

The location is superb.
Can see into bedroom (because of matchstick blinds0 at night. No hairdryer. Shower curtain fell down twice - pressure fitting too loose. toilet paper role holder tinny metal - nearly broke it twice.

Couldn't beat this location! it was so close to the beach and a bonus that there is a cafe steps away for an early morning coffee.

There are a lot of negative reviews about this park. It is under new ownership being Merivale and money is slowly being tipped into the the place to tidy it up and bring basic cabins up to scratch as they are very dated and tired - but some have been and they are in the process of updating the fixtures. The one next to us looked great where ours was very tired. We were there to sleep at night and be out in the day so we were not overly fussed. Easy Walk to town to the Pubs and Clubs. Beach access very easy and the Beach Cafe right in front of the park for a nice morning coffee.
I looked under the couch to see where my phone was and it was evident it hadn't been pulled out to be cleaned in a long long time. Having read reviews prior to the trip I took some cleaning gear which I used to clean the shelves in the cupboards which were filthy.

The condition of the cabin

the cabin had a nice view of the beach to the left.
The cabin was dirty, very dated, dirty spa, broken tv, cockroach on the sink, someone else’s ice cream in our freezer. cannot close the bedroom door without physically moving the bed out of the way, no clothing storage in second bedroom. the pot drawers under the stove contained ONE LID, not even a saucepan, just a lid. Very disappointed and not worth the money. I booked the cabin for my niece as her husband has not long passed away. I thought it would be a treat for her but it wasn’t. she stayed one night so I stayed the second night. I was embarrassed about the cabin not being as nice as I expected for $640 (I booked the cabin on free booking / free cancellation but that also turned out to be untrue)
