Nice place to stay while visiting distilleries in Louisville. We Uber to all places downtown, which is about 2 miles away.

Booked the Barrett House based on location and comments from previous guests. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples or 6 friends as long as you don’t mind walking past one of the beds to get to the bathroom downstairs. Very Clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. It would be helpful to get a few new toasters and a few frying pans, but otherwise well equipped! I would highly recommend the Barrett House.

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is well suited for multiple families. We were in town with some friends for a baseball tournament. Friends took the lower level unit and we took the upper unit. Living room and dining room in upper unit were both big enough for all of us to visit together. Then, at the end of the evening, we had our own space. Communication with the host was excellent. We were a bit concerned about potential noise from the bar across the street but it was not an issue at all (at least on a M/Tu/Wed night) - a very friendly place as well. Breakfast at the nearby BBB was excellent. Street noise in the evening was not an issue. If you are light sleeper and trying to sleep late it could be a challenge. We really enjoyed our stay, the neighborhood was great, parking was easy, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time!! James was a fantastic host and great communicator! There is so much to and explore in Louisville and this property is great location, close to everything. We even did a day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park (1.5hrs)

So much to do in that neighborhood! There’s a friendly neighborhood bar right across the street from the house with great cocktails. And a few blocks down there’s so many restaurants and bars to choose from! James was super easy to communicate with and was very accessible if we ever needed anything. And the home was very clean, the second story living space made for a great hangout during our downtime. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

Rented this house for a long weekend to enjoy bourbon tours and opening night at Churchill downs and this place did not disappoint! Amazing location and even more amazing owners who were very welcoming and checked in on us during the weekend. House is excellent. Great design, updated, and well stocked. The owners even left us snacks and goodies! The location is perfect. Great neighborhood with an adorable bar across the street! We will come back and stay here again when our travels return us to Louisville!

House was just as described and James was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. It was nice to have a small bar across the street for an end of the night cocktail. It can get really noisy at night as mentioned in other reviews but nothing that a sound machine couldn't fix. Location was great as it was only 10 minutes or less to all the places we had on our list to visit. Overall a very nice house and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Louisville area.

I enjoyed the stay but had a few hiccups. The floors in the main hall were warped / spongy One of the bedrooms is open and in he middle of home which is where the floor is warped. Host was nice and responded quickly.

We had a lovely stay here for a few days. James is a communicative and enthusiastic host. The space is clean, spacious, and accommodates a flexible range of needs. As others mention, there is a bit of street noise, but it didn’t really affect us. Beds are comfortable and you’re a short walk from tons of attractions, restaurants, and bars. The architecture throughout the neighborhood is a museum in itself. Highly recommend this place!

Three couples for a quick weekend, great place to stay. Close to downtown and so many cool spots right near the house. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to check those out because we already had so many plans. Property owner supplied all kinds of helpful information and extremely easy to work with. Two kitchens in the unit! Beds comfortable, lots of space. Was concerned about the noise potential given the location and other reviews, but didn’t bother us at all! Would definitely stay again.

We had a party of 4 adults, in town for a bourbon tour weekend. The check in process was seamless, and the house was very clean. The house itself is beautiful and full of character. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was close to everything. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return!

This property was exactly as described. It is in a nice walkable area with lots of food, drinks and shopping options. The road outside is a bit noisy with cars going by. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay there again!

Great place and great location

We really enjoyed this property. It was the perfect set up for my wife and me with our adult children and their girlfriends. It was very clean, and the beds were especially comfortable. Other reviews mentioned street noise, which we did notice, but it did not disturb anyone’s sleep. We enjoyed several of great restaurants within 15 mins or so. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We frequented the laid back bar across the street, which often had food trucks parked outside for a convenient snack. There was also a great breakfast spot within a couple blocks. Despite this convenience, the location felt safe and relatively quiet.

We had a great stay at the Highlands! The hosts were very informative and responsive when we had any questions. We had three adults and five kids in the group - it was the perfect amount of space and sleeping spaces for us. We wanted a place that would meet our needs - ability to make breakfast and other meals if needed and comfortable to lounge after going on long explorations during the day and in the evenings. The kids appreciated having access to their favorite apps on the TV's and the snacks. The adults appreciated the coffee maker and larger dining spaces. The nostalgic hipsters loved being close to the eclectic, retro, and toy shops. The only bummer was that the Shop Bar across the street did not have drinks to go!

This house was perfect! Every aspect from check-in to cleanliness was better than we expected. James and his team even left a case of water in the fridge - amazing since we were in and out exploring daily! James was fantastic to work with and easy to communicate with. Will absolutely recommend this property to anyone we know traveling to Louisville in the future!

Our group of four friends stayed in this two-story condo for a long weekend in Louisville to visit several distilleries. The condo was clean and felt big enough for the four of us. It's in a great location in the Highlands neighborhood, close to many restaurants and bars. This is a much better option than staying directly downtown (and cheaper). It's also a reasonable walk to Nulu distilleries Rabbit Hole (well worth the visit) and Angel's Envy. It's a short drive to downtown. We visited several distilleries south of the city in Bardstown. The owners were very responsive and check-in was easy. One note if you're a light sleeper - the place is an end unit facing the street so you do get car noise overnight. Didn't bother me at all, but worth packing a noise maker if you think that would be an issue.

Me and 2 of my friends were visiting Bourbon Country and we stayed at this house. It was in a great location and we easily could walk to bars and restaurants. The house very clean and everything was just as advertised. We'd definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our time at this property. James was very helpful, and the home was perfect for our group of several friends needing separate spaces. The only complaint was that the street noise could be quite loud - I would recommend a white noise machine or something similar to be added to the other wonderful amenities that were offered. There is a delightful bar and shop right across the street, and the house is within walking distance to several restaurants and bars as well. All in all, an amazing experience!

Ina very up and coming part of the city. Older neighborhood being revitalized by younger families. Close to restaurants and entertainment venues in the city. We absolutely would stay there again if ever in Louisville again.
