Every morning a hot breakfast was provided and it was delicious!'

What a special place to land for a quick getaway from Oakland. Sweet little cottage tucked into the redwoods. Make sure you come for Friday night pizza. The host clearly has a gift for community building. Pizza and music under the redwoods seems to be the thing to do on a Friday night and was a magical touch to the weekend. We loved getting to dip in for music and eats and then retreat to our little cabin nearby. Very sweet and magical garden full of repurposed treasures. Easy access to the coast and Russian river, we hope to return and check out the other cottages. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. He offered many suggestions for local food and fun.

I thought the property was very well decorated very true to that area small but yet had everything I needed. I found that the fresh bakery items in the morning was an added bonus. It’s rarely that you actually get breakfast at B&B these days loved it.

Mark is an amazing host. The property is a wonderful gem in the redwoods to either recharge your batteries or just relax after visiting the coast or local wineries. Perfect place and amazing baked goodies.

We were blown away by Mark's hospitality and delicious pastries! Such a treat.

We were attending a music camp nearby and this was the perfect setup for us. Everything was super comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing - freshly baked bread, pastries and fresh roasted coffee to grind and brew in your own room. There are not really cooking facilities in the room aside from a microwave and toaster; this wasn't a problem for us at all but might be for you if you are planning to cook your meals. Mark (the owner) is great! You should definitely make sure to spend some time talking with him. We are looking forward to going back next year!

We came up to the property on Friday night and enjoyed the pre-ordered pizza and the live music. The property/cottage was cozy and clean, but could use a little improvement inside and outside. Overall, we had a very nice trip and stay.

Just what we needed! A weekend in a beautiful place! Mark is a wonderful host and will spoil you with baked goods and freshly roasted coffee beans! We can’t wait to come back!

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and Mark greeted is right away and showed us around the property. Mark is a fun and gracious host who takes pride in making his guests feel comfortable. We took the goats for a walk with him and explored Austin Creek which is adjacent to the property. Beautiful redwoods and green moss and ferns are abundant around the grounds and some fun enchanted objet d'art sprinkled around the property add a special charm.
Our cottage was cozy and comfy. A huge library of books from every genre, and some vinyl to play on the record player was a fun extra! We watched dvd's in the front room and Netflix in the bedroom. Wifi worked best in the bedroom.
Each morning Mark brought us an amazing plate with freshly baked sourdough, pastries, and a cup of beans to grind in the grinder provided on the coffee cart in our room. This was our favorite perk of our stay!
We did order a pizza on Friday night that was yummy as well!
We will be back soon!

It felt like this place was straight out a movie set. Charming, unique, baked goods delivered every morning, Friday night pizza night and live band. I am so glad we chose to stay here! Mark & his family were, hands down, the most welcoming and kind hosts. My husband and daughter enjoyed looking and listening to records and reading the huge assortment of books. It was the perfect retreat/vacation as we brought my daughter to college. Can’t wait to stay again.

The little cottage was all I needed to sleep in while visiting relatives in the area. As many have commented, the proprietor's baking skills can only be matched by his graciousness.

The cottage was very cute and was a great launching spot for our activities in the Russian River Valley. The morning delivery of pastries is an extra perk! Try going on a Friday so you can participate in the pizza and band night outside the bakery.

Delightful cottage in the Redwoods. A plate of warm freshly baked pastries, a loaf of the most delicious sourdough bread and freshly on-site fair trade roasted coffee beans delivered to the door every morning. Lovely grounds. We couldn't have been more comfortable.

The place was cute very comfortable. There is a lot of clutter of books that can be removed so your guest will be able to use the shelving to organize their personal items during their stay. Mark was an excellent host. His detail to the bake goods was phenomenal. He spoiled us by sending us home with a box of goodies for the road. I would definitely recommend Mark as a host and stay there again. Looking forward in reviewing his Inn for a possible rental in the future. Thank you Mark!

We had one of the BEST short vacation stay at "Elim Grove" Bakery & Cottages. The thing that REALLY STAND OUT is how thoughtful and THOROUGH Mark, the Proprietor, was!!!))) He really takes the time to get to know you and delivers ALWAYS!))) he's quite personable and not pretentious at all! Every morning, there was a plate of fresh baked treats and a generous helping of fresh roasted coffee waiting outside of Our front door! ( He also roasts his own coffee beans!!!)) I recommend this 'Hideaway' to anyone who prefers "Off the Beaten Path" Getaways!... (WELL worth the extra few minutes to get there!!!))👌👍👍👍❤

My wife and I had a lovely stay at Elim Grove Cottage. Being dog friendly, we loved getting to bring our pup along. We arrived on a Wed and found that camp was in session across the street at the performing arts camp. That ment we were given the gift of live orchestra music playing through our windows throughout the day.
Though the bakery is currently closed to the public, each morning we woke up to a plate full of fresh pastries and freshly roasted coffee that Mark had just made.
Cazadero is definitely off the beaten path and reception is spotty at best. But via wifi at the cottage, we were able to find some things to venture out and eat/drink/do in the neighboring towns of Guerneville, Duncan Mills & Jenner.
We really enjoyed our time at Elim Grove and can't recommend it enough!

Disappointed
No one on site..this was an old crowded cabin..surroundings were cluttered and unkempt. We left early.
They did have some interesting country artifacts.

Just Fabulous!
Right from the start, we knew this place would be special. Driving up the road past the beautiful winding river, only to arrive to a full on fest of live music, food and all the fun, our weekend started off perfectly. The cabin is small but oh so sweet. And to cap it off perfectly, Mark made us some treats - fresh from the oven! It had me thinking we were in a small bakery in the French countryside. All in all - just superb! I highly recomment!

Lovely time in the Redwoods!
We had a wonderful time staying at Raymond's! Mark is a great host, very friendly and helpful. The cottage we stayed in was extremely cozy and well equipped. We loved the community pizza night and LOVED the pastries in the morning! Great walks nearby and so much to do in the area. We will definitely come back!

A calm getaway
This cottage is very cute and small, it has a few additions to it on the inside so it a lot less opened space in the living room area. However it had a comfortable bed and a great view of the trees. It was so close to the river were we explored and found so many great treasures. The breakfast was freshly baked every morning and the coffee was amazing. Would like to visit soon!

To grandmother's house we go...
A sweet, rustic cabin loaded with antiques reminiscent of a stay at the grandparent's house. Very comfortable for 2 + our pup. It was cold during our stay and the propane stove kept us cozy. Bathroom is nice and spacious and rooms have plenty of storage for longer stays. Bed in main bedroom is very comfortable and we're picky! Water isn't good for drinking (very chlorinated) so we recommend bringing spring water for your morning coffee. Speaking of, Mark roasts his own beans and hand delivered them to us! Yum! There's a little sitting area just outside the cottage and a grill. We bought fresh fish at the Fishetarian (recommended!) In Bodega Bay after exploring one day and used the grill. The grounds are fun and it was nice having access to an outdoor fire. This cottage is in front - right by the road - but we found it private. Creek access is challenging but you can sit above and enjoy the sounds. The redwood trees on the property are impressive! Last but not least, Mark is an awesome host and the pizza he offers on Friday is worth every penny!! He helped make our anniversary week special - thank you, Mark!

Quaint Rustic Cottage among the Redwoods
Mark is such an accommodating, personable host that goes beyond to ensure his guest enjoy their stay. Celebrating my 51st and it was such a wonderful experience. The cottage we stayed in was adorable and comfortable for our family of 3. Baked goods brought to our door in the morning with fresh coffee grounds for us to brew. I enjoyed sitting on the couch in the morning looking out the front window and the landscape before us. Enjoying the creek just steps away from our cottage, skipping rocks and just breathing in the fresh air. What a wonderful experience and stay. Highly recommend this place. Just a gem!!

Rainy Redwoods Retreat
Elim Cottage was the perfect getaway for a few days in the forest. The cottage itself is cozy, with comfy beds, a warming gas stove, and unique, homey touches. It was the perfect place to read and sip coffee while listening to the rain patter against the windows and skylight.
Mark is a wonderful host. He was so accommodating and friendly. The freshly baked pastries and coffee he served us each morning were a delightful cherry on top of an already exceptional experience!

getaway in the woods
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Absolutely charming in every way from the gas stove, to the LP and music, to the fabulous baked goods in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and the surrounding area. Raymond was the hostess with the mostess! I know that's not grammatically correct but couldn't resist :)

Best Host Ever
Mark is an awesome host. Starting with precise directions to cottage and checking in with you to make sure you have everything you need. The cottage was nice and homey. There is a fire pit and several sitting areas around the garden where we met other guest and exchanged info on area hikes. Our dogs met other friendly dogs and enjoyed themselves too. Mark provided the tastiest homemade pastries and coffee to our door each morning and was always friendly and attentive. Location was excellent - close to the ocean and redwoods. We can’t wait to come back.

Everything was just as described by Raymond & the other reviews. Yes, you want to stay here. Yes, the breakfast pastries are amazing. Yes, so is the fresh roasted coffee.I'll just put some helpful descriptions about the property: The Elim cabin actually has 3 rooms, one of which has a day bed and a kitchen equiped with: coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, microwave, small mini fridge. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel dispensers. There is a small 3 chair seating area with 2 grills outside this cabin. The front is about maybe 8-10 feet from the parking area, but it was never loud to disturb us. There was also a record player, records, and many books in the cabin!Thank you Raymond! Hopefully we can visit you again!

I attended Cazadero Family Music Camp for the week, staying in this cottage and it was wonderful! Quiet! Nice bed! and a nice bathroom! Breakfast was waiting for us every morning outside our door---some yummy baked goods and we could make our own coffee/tea in the cottage. Loved it and would do it again in a flash!!!
