About this house rental
Enjoy relaxed living on a bluff above Lake Tahoe. Nestled in a hollow out of the prevailing wind, every room in this home looks out over the lake, with views across Crystal Bay Point and along the beautiful east shore. Be amazed by every mood the lake has to show, from the sun line rising on the Eastern Sierra to spectacular full moon nights which can be enjoyed from the private hot tub on the deck. Each room is tastefully decorated and the beds have high thread count linens, down comforters, and lots of soft pillows. Our open floor plan has a master suite with queen bed upstairs off the living room/great room. The remaining bedrooms (second master suite with queen bed, and two queen bedrooms) are downstairs off the family room. We have a wonderful wood stove in the family room that heats the whole house and firewood is provided. The attached apartment has 1 queen bed in the bedroom with interior access to the apartment from the main house, as well as from the garage. With 3500 sq. ft. of total living space there is room for everyone. There's a two car garage and plenty of off street parking. Enjoy High Speed Internet/Wi-Fi and Cable TV through out the home. We are located just one block from the lake, close to ski areas and casinos, Garwoods and 7-Eleven are just down the road. Keywords: Lakeview Home w/Apartment

We loved staying in this spacious, beautiful, clean home in Carnelian Bay. One of the best VrBO homes I’ve stayed in to date. The view of Lake Tahoe was so peaceful and we had some fresh snow at night, which made it even more picturesque.
The hot tub was a big hit and our furry friends enjoyed being with us in Tahoe. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of bathrooms for everyone. We would definitely come back! Thank you for a lovely stay.

There were 11 of us and the house was roomy and ultra comfortable. The beds were wonderful, the kitchen was supplied with everything we could need, and it was a wonderful experience for all of us. The view of the lake was the icing on the cake. Our kids had fun sledding down the side slope of the house and we all loved the hot tub overlooking the lake.

Seven friends came in for a weekend to celebrate the life of a good friend who had passed. The home left us a place to relax and heal from the emotional stress.

This is a perfect home with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our annual girls trip (group of 6). The lake view is spectacular and it’s conveniently located in between Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Highly recommend, we plan to come back again! P.S. The bedding on every bed was exceptionally nice, warm and cozy!

I can't say enough good things about our stay. We had 8 adults fly into Reno and made the 45 minute drive to north tahoe. The location was 10 minutes from great restaurants and everything you need. The house was amazing with views from a movie. House was equipped with everything you need once you make a quick stop at the grocery store. Emerald Bay was a 30 minute drive and a must see. Thank you for allowing us to visit your house.

A group of 8 adults celebrated a 60th birthday. The view of the lake was spectacular! We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor seating area. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. Everyone was able to spread out. Lake Tahoe is beautiful and I would highly recommend staying here!

Our family stayed for a week at this beautiful property. The views from most rooms in the house as well as the back porch area are unbelievable! This is our second time staying in the Lake Tahoe area and it is hard to believe that it could get much better. The layout of the home allowed our family their individual space which was greatly appreciated throughout the stay. The check in process and communication with the owner was excellent. We had a terrific stay and would highly recommend this location!

If you're looking for the quieter side of Tahoe, a beautiful lake view, and a house that functions well for a large group, this is the place for you. Very close to Tahoe City and some nice restaurants there; not far from Incline Village (check out the Lone Eagle Grill). We were a group of 10 family/friends. The layout of the house was perfect, and it is very well-equipped. We cooked all breakfasts and a few lunches/dinners there and the kitchen was fully up to it. But the crown jewel was the lake view from the window wall in the great room, several of the bedrooms, and from the deck which included multiple seating areas and a large hot tub. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. We made a great choice with this house!

This was a great house. We were 3 families, 9 people, not including a 6-week-old baby. The apartment was perfect for the couple with the newborn. Sleeping accommodations worked great for the rest of us. The large great room & kitchen was the perfect setup for us at the end of the day. The home was within reasonable drives of all venues we chose to visit. The neighborhood was safe and quiet.

We had a great time with family staying at Dave & Janna's house. It's perfect for large groups...plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. They were very communicative and check in was a breeze. The views are hard to beat and there's a great lawn and hot tub to enjoy too. Would definitely be back!

Our group of 10 meets in a different location in the US every year. This was our sixth year getting together and this home was by far the best we have stayed in...and we have stayed in some pretty epic homes.
The view is absolutely breathtaking as is the home itself. This home was equipped with everything we needed included a Keurig with coffee and a regular coffee pot. We loved watching the lake from the hot tub and we enjoyed our coffee on the deck watching the sunrise. The communication was great, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless.
We HIGHLY recommend this home!

We had the most wonderful time staying in this home which overlooks Lake Tahoe. The home was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had such a wonderful stay!! The house is even nicer than the pictures convey, and there is so much space for a large group like ours. We had kids and adults and everyone had a great time. There is everything you need, it all works, and it’s all very clean. And the view- WOW. Communication with the owner was fantastic, Dave responds quickly for anything you could need to ask. Some of us even used the hot tub while it was snowing a little, what a cool experience. We brought our well behaved dog and he loved it too! We would absolutely stay here again!

Watching icicles melt is my new favorite vacation activity—especially from the master bedroom of this lovely property while overlooking breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. The first time we stayed at this home, we didn’t have fresh snow. This year, we were happy to enjoy it, and even better, before I could even get shovels ready, the driveway was plowed. We had a group going to Reno to bowl Nationals and didn't want to stay in town. I had been to Lake Tahoe several times but this was the 1st for my friends. I chose a house that would fit our needs and boy did this one!! 5 bedrooms and the separate apartment was more than expected. We went snowmobiling and the hot tub was perfect when we got back. The house had plenty of room to spread out. Host was quick to respond to our needs. We went in March and they were having record snowfall roads in town were good.The road to the house was iffy due to private road. The driveway at the house we had to clean as the property owner said his company was having equipment issues. Other than that everything was Great!!! Will definitely stay again.

Booked this cabin for my wife’s birthday and it delivered in every way. We were 8 adults and had plenty of room. Right when you walk in, you are impressed by the large windows that you can see the lake and mountains. The cabin has all the amenities you can ask for. Beds are VERY comfortable and cozy! Kitchen is well stocked with anything you need for cooking. Safeway is only a few miles away. We had a winter storm during our stay which made the experience even more terrific. Watching the snow fall and cover everything was a sight to see. Dave and Janna were very responsive and attentive to all my questions. They ensured we were okay and had a private company snowplow the driveway several times a day. The hot tub was a great perk with views of the lake which takes your breath away. Great cabin, Great owners and Perfect Location!

My extended family had a wonderful time at Dave and Janna’s carnelian bay property. Lots of room for everyone. Spot the bald eagle nest out of the living room window - amazing. We timed it perfectly and missed a huge storm. Perfectly situated close to Garwoods for drinks and CB’s Pizza.

I really enjoyed sitting in the living room drinking my coffee and eating my breakfast every morning. We we’re only here for three days so we only took one hike down into Emerald Bay. What a beautiful site that was.

We had the most amazing stay with our family. The views are the most incredible I have seen! The layout of the house was perfect for 3 couples with kids. We used all the outdoor spaces and got in quite a few rounds of cornhole with the lake as a perfect backdrop.

The house is perfect for groups. We had plenty of room to spread out. With so much to do when the sun is shining we were on the move daily, but we enjoyed the deck at night and the hot tub helped with any aches from hikes or other activities. We did not see the bear, but saw plenty of other wildlife around.
If you are looking for a cabin / lodge feel with stunning views, this is the house for you. Thanks to the owners for assisting us before and during our stay. We had a great time all around!

We stayed for a family vacation including 11 adults and a toddler. We initially were planning on only 8 adults but when additional family members were able to join the hosts were super accommodating and no major changes were required. The hosts were quick to respond to all questions and we had no issues with check in or check out! The living area and three of the five bedrooms had amazing views of the lake. All amenities listed were found and easily accessible, we had plenty of dinnerware/flatware/cookware for 11 adults. The main house does not have air conditioning which as I understand is not typically an issue, we just happened to be staying during one of the hotter weeks of the year. Even with hot days, the nights were mostly cool and we were quite comfortable with windows open and strategic fan set up. Overall a great experience and would we would absolutely stay here again!
