Lovely stay at the lake house. Beautiful views, and activities for the whole family. The house is perfect for a family vacation. The home is just adorable. internet is not great, but that didn't really matter, since being outside with family was the goal, and you can't ask for a nicer spot!
The property manager was attentive and so helpful. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our one week stay. We had lots of family time enjoying the lake. We swam, we used the kayaks and enjoyed coffee in the morning on the lakeside deck.

House was not not clean. Spide web all over the place. Had issues with no internet. By the the time they get internet was by thurday, with really bad hot spot, was bad faith, cable box was disconnect and hiden behind the tv, and now trying to charge me with some extra charges.

It was a beautiful cottage on the lake with access to the water. It had a canoe and kayaks. There was a bbq to grill. Inside the cottage was quaint and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no water pressure to have a good shower, and there were only a few unknown channels to watch tv at night.

A nice nostalgic property. I stayed with my brother and his two adult kids (18 and 21), and a friend of one of the kids. I think my brother and I enjoyed more than the young people. It is a family rental, as there are 4 twin beds and two are in the bunk house and two are in a loft accessed by a ladder. I think a trundle day bed on the porch would be a great addition for another adult wanting to be in the vicinity of the one bathroom. We kayaked and swam and enjoyed a long weekend

The house was exactly as advertised, and very clean. The issue was the dock area. The photos show a nice long dock to launch the provided canoe and kayaks and a safe way to enter the water. Unfortunately for our stay in mid-August, peak water time on a lake, 90% of the pictured dock was out of the water and laying along the side of the house. The single short section that was there had a ladder hanging off the end of it, hanging by plastic zip ties only. To get the canoe or kayaks in the water you had to slide them through the overgrowth and off the side of the single section dock and over the slimy rocks to get them into the water. Getting ourselves into the kayaks or canoe using the zip tied ladder was treacherous at best and very unsafe. The canoe was longer than the dock and due to the zip tied ladder, it couldn't be slid off the end of the dock. The provided oars for the canoe were broken in half upon arrival, something the Manager or cleaning staff should have noticed prior to our arrival. The caretaker did arrive unannounced on Monday bringing supplies that should have already been there. She said she was leaving the next day for an Alaskan trip so she wasn't around if anything was needed. We contacted the Manger that the caretaker advised us to do. She was away on a cruise and replied over a day later regarding the dock and that it may have not been put in due to high water, however the caretaker when she arrived said she couldn't believe how low the water was. So, it couldn't be a high water issue and we've been in some form of drought condition here for the last year. Water height had nothing to do with it. All the dock sections in the yard are height adjustable. She said they would order oars (I guess for the next renter). I sent a follow up message to her during our stay and now a week after the vacation is over still no reply, no apology, nothing. Just ignored. So both the caretaker and Manager weren't around. The whole selling point of the lakefront rental is the water and the access to it. The access to the water during this stay was almost impossible. A 5-foot dock through the overgrowth with the zip tied ladder dangling off the end. Not as advertised in the photos and should have been disclosed prior to our stay that the dock was almost useless. There are many houses on both side of this one and they all had their full length docks in the water. We simply wanted what was advertised in the photo's, that's what we paid for.

What we were impressed with the most was the privacy and solitude! Also, the central A/C was truly unexpected and appreciated during our recent heatwave. Great cottage!

We enjoyed staying at this lovely property with access to a charming lake. The landing/ deck overlooking the lake was perfect for watching the beautiful sunrise and sunset each day. Cabin is comfortable and has AC for the hot days. We used 3 of the kayaks daily. Wonderful stay!!

The location of the property is perfect. The teenagers spent their days on the water and the adults relaxed. There is very good hiking a short drive away. It is always a pleasure to stay at this cottage.

We stayed in May before docks were in so there was no access to the water but the decks are wonderful! The house is very comfortable. The sleeping arrangements outside of the bedrooms are rustic but the young adults enjoyed them. Can’t say enough about the setting, beautiful!

Arriving beautiful home very antiquated decorated it felt like you can have a scavenger hunt, the loft area small but overall beautiful view took it all away. Suggestions(not complaints)1. Curtains would be nice for windows it would keep heat inside house longer. 2. Shower rod and shower curtain for privacy. Beside that it was beautiful ,peaceful and clean. Most of all the owner was very quick responder. Hope to go for the summer.1000% worth renting

The property was as advertised and it a quiet little area. There are neighbors close by but they were respectful. The cottage had a rustic feel with some new appliances and comforts and was well maintained. The only issue was the bed. My wife and I woke up after night one and decided that we would not be able to stay the second night and ended up going home. With new beds I would definitely recommend the property.

This was our first vacation rental experience. It was a great experience. The property is exactly as shown. The location is beautiful and very relaxing. You need to walk down a few steep steps to get to the property. This was a bit challenging for my parents. We did have to communicate with the property manager a few time during our stay. She was responsive.

My partner and I needed a little break from every day life and found it perfectly at this cottage on the lake. With open windows, you could hear the water hitting the rocks just beyond the house. Upon entering, we were taken in by the charm. Everything was so clean- you can smell the clean- ( I mean that in the best way- I love it when a place smells freshly cleaned!!) everything was just right. We loved swimming off our own dock- we loved meals at the table by the water- all of it. I hope to return!

This was our first time at this Cottage. It is a lovely vintage home with so much to explore inside and out. It is located in a residential community and not a tourist town. I think I discovered a new thing every day in the house. Although the pictures showed the steps down to the cabin, they were much deeper and uneven than we had expected and without handrails, we used each other to go up and down the steps. T
he home is well kept and had an ample amount of dishes , glassware and utensils. It was nice to see nice quality (All-Clad) pots and pans. It would have been nice to have a flat griddle pan . All the appliances looked recently upgraded but the stove was a little quirky to get it to light. It was nice to have a stove with a flame, you dont see that very often.
We enjoyed sitting out on the deck by the lake, but you definately need to bring your own chair unless you plan on sitting on the picnic bench. The Barbecue was in excellent shape with extra tank of gas. We used it many nights, but did not use the outside furniture as we found it very uncomfortable without any cushions .
One of our favorite spots was the sun room, We ate all our meals there overlooking the lake. It was so peaceful watching the boating and wildlife activity.
On most days we would open all the windows that had screens in them to let the nice breezes fill the house rather than keep the air conditioning on all day.
The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have dark shades that kept the early morning sun out. Having the washer/dreyer with a supply of detergent and dryer sheets is truly a plus.
We swam in the lake every day and the water was very clear. You definately need water shoes, but there is a comfortable bottom with small stones to navigate. We also fished of the deck.
At night we relaxed watching TV. It has very basic cable. I was happy that I travel with my firestick so we were able to get additional programing over the wifi which has decent speed . There is a TV in the master bedroom, but it is not connected to the cable, just the dvd player below it.
The property manager was very attentive and addressed all our questions and needs.
We found the house to be in an ideal location with an easy drive time to Newport RI and the Cape. We look forward to coming back to this gem of a house.

We were looking for a lake retreat without the travel. We found just what we were looking for with this property. We only live 25 min away but when we arrived we felt like we were a world away. The cottage was spotless, the location was perfect...right on the lake and the property manager was a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend renting this property

The property was absolutely adorable. The look is very vintage but you have all the necessities. It felt like home as soon as we arrived. The lake was so beautiful and peaceful. We loved the swans that would come to visit as well as the wonderful sunsets. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was as seen in photos .
It was very peaceful and loved waking up to the birds every morning . The canoe and kayak we’re in great shape and took them out a few times .
We bought chairs to be able to sit on the dock and deck comfortably. The tables and chairs available are well worn .
The beds were very comfortable .
We had an amazing week and the location was ideal for day trips to Newport and cape cod .
We would happily stay there again !
Overall was amazing !!

We were in the area for a hockey tournament so didn’t get to spend too much time at the house but we enjoyed our stay very much. Would love updated deck furniture!!

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend in the spring to celebrate our anniversary.
The property was stunning - the views alone were incredible, but the cabin was also adorable. We went kayaking, had coffee on the deck most mornings, grilled dinner, and just enjoyed being in nature. We would definitely love to return at some point.
The only thing I’d like to point out for others considering renting, and I’d like to be clear this is NOT a complaint, is that the only shower is in one of the bedrooms. If you are staying with a group of people, just keep that in mind. The shower itself is actually adorable, and it was perfect for just my partner and I.

Our little family really enjoyed a relaxing getaway at this cozy cabin on the lake.

I was there in the winter, so things may be different in the summer. The property was clean, quiet, old school camp/cottage style. The bed was comfortable. The views were amazing and the property is right on the water. Great for winter down time. We will try to book as a family in the summer to enjoy the lake as well.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at the property. We were looking for a cozy winter getaway and this was a great spot. The property is right on the lake and in a pretty secluded/quiet street. There are some neighbors, but we didn't see anyone else the whole time we were there. The house is comfortable and cozy. the kitchen was well stocked and great for some ambitious cooking and the views of the lake were beautiful and made the whole stay feel special. Only potential downsides - the only shower is IN the master bedroom, the bathroom just has a tub. Not an issue for us, but if you're staying with a bigger group it could get tricky. Also, it uses well water so water pressure in some areas (kitchen in particular) can be hit or miss, again not a huge problem but an FYI. Last, again not a complaint but its a handful of steps to even get to the house so just be careful if you have older/disabled guests. Overall had a great stay!!

We had a great time staying in this charming, spacious yet cozy little cottage with vintage decor. We spent time gazing up at the stars, watching the birds and sunset on the lake, or cooking in the modern kitchen. We will definitely return!
