The property was perfect. Very clean, very well provisioned. The proximity of the house to the water was our favorite feature. We ate all our meals on the back patio table, watching a heron fish for minnows with the gorgeous sunset as a backdrop. The shore was nice and shallow, and the lake was warm. We barely got out of our bathing suits from sun up til sundown, and then we gathered around the fire pit. Even though we had planned to visit a local winery, we wound up never leaving the house, as it had everything we needed for a lovely reunion weekend.
The only quibble was that one of the bedrooms had a smoke detector with a dead battery that annoyingly chirped. We couldn't find a battery in the junk drawer, and pushing the hush button only temporarily delayed the chirp. The owner was not reachable through neither the app nor on the cell phone provided. He did respond later the morning after we reached out, and apologized.

A group of my girlfriends stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed the outdoors and wineries in the Finger Lakes. The house was perfect - comfortable, clean, had great outdoor activities, and indoor/outdoor spaces to hang out. We had an awesome weekend!!

The little bungalow is immaculate, cozy, and filled with the finest linens, glassware, games, DVD's, and kayaks. Truly, the bungalow is cozy and comfortable.
Our difficulty with this rental was that we had children from 18 mos to 9 yrs of age and safety is always the issue. The home is located just feet from busy East Lake Road; the children could play only on the small patch of grass behind house. The dock surface becomes extremely hot in the summer sun. And, there is not a safe dock ladder. There is a foot long plank missing in the dock that someone can easily hurt themselves if they fell through. One is not able to call our host as he does not pick up the phone and his mailbox is filled. Emailing him through the VRBO website is a bit more successful.

This was our 4th stay, and we can’t say enough about how wonderful this home and its host is. It’s always spotlessly clean and maintained, and the layout works perfectly for our group of four couples. Location on the lake is perfect, and close to some of our favorite winery stops. Top notch all around, thank you Calvin for sharing this gem with us. Already looking forward to stay #5!

Perfect girls weekend
This house is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The outdoor space is also larger than it looks in the pictures and so incredibly beautiful- right on the lake.
The house was fully stocked with adequate linens and everything you could need in the kitchen.
The home is clean and modern, plenty of space for a crowd.
Communication with the owner Calvin was seamless and prompt.
I would definitely recommend this home and working with Calvin for anyone looking in this area.

Great place
This house was great. The back yard set up was better then the on line pictures. We were able to kayak and swim. The kitchen was well stocked. We were pleasantly surprised that the bunk beds were twins instead. Just for your information there is one bathroom upstairs, one in the master downstairs and one by the front door.

Great location
The house was even better in person than the photos. Was a great location and the house itself was bigger then it appears.
The house easily fit the 10 of us.
Would highly recommend. My only note would be to add some shower hooks in the bathrooms

We were lucky enough to enjoy this past week at the Seneca Bungalow! The pictures of the house were accurate! We were able to walk from the back porch to the lake, enjoyed coffee by the lake and had a fabulous time!

GREAT to be back at Seneca Bungalow
Our last stay was in October 2019. We loved it then and we were very happy and grateful that Calvin and VRBO accommodated our request to move our June 2020 reservation to June 2021 due to Covid.
The new improvements (patio, dock) were great !

Beautiful well appointed home
We spent most of a week at the bungalow and found it to be every bit as lovely as described. There were just two of us and a pup, so we only used the main level of the house. The huge windows allow for maximum lake view and sunshine, with blinds when you don't want the sun coming in. We were on a work/vacay combo trip, so the reliable and fast wifi made for a smooth week. The kitchen has literally everything you'd need to prepare meals - more tools and gadgets than we have at home. The lake was shallow in front of the house making it easy in/out, especially with the dog. Shopping and dining were plentiful in Geneva (about a 15 min drive) but capacity restrictions meant carry out only on this trip. The steps in and out of the house were taller than average, so those with short legs or old knees will find them a little challenging. All in all, we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to choose this as home base for another Finger Lakes adventure!

Lake House
The house was as advertised!! Beautiful. We had a great stay! The only thing was all the chairs were wood both in door and outdoor without any cushions which after awhile was uncomfortable.

Great Early Spring
We had a good experience. Away from the glitch on the first night, everything turned out well. The house was true to the app pictures, clean and neat. The proximity to the lake was a definite plus. Our host was responsive and helpful. Thank you.

Amazing!!
We had the BEST time at the finger lakes especially with this rental property. It is so cute and welcoming on the inside! The lake is so close and you can see it from the wall to wall windows in the living room. Such a tranquil spot for your trip. There were so many places to sleep and can fit a decent sized group. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Great place for a girls getaway!
We had a wonderful time at the Seneca Bungalow. It completely blew away our expectations. The house was updated, clean and stocked with all kitchen tools and accessories you’ll need. It’s close to lots of great wineries as well. It was an amazing weekend celebrating our friend that’s getting married and we’d love to come back! Thanks Calvin!

Restful at it's best.
The best possible place to recharge your batteries. Beautifully furnished, comfortable home, with well stocked high end kitchen. Quiet neighborhood, right on the water. Lots of ducks, herons and wrens occupying the martin house. Best part: amazing views from the living room and dining room, fabulous sunsets.

Hidden Gem Bungalow
A group of 6 of us (and a dog) came to the bungalow for a weekend getaway in the Finger Lakes and we all had an amazing experience. The layout of the house was perfect, not too big and not too small - but I'm sure a larger group would be comfortable too. Every room was clean and well equipped with toiletries and linens, and the laundry rooms even had detergent and dryer sheets. The kitchen was also very well equipped with utensils and cooking tools, though you'll need to bring all the basics (sans salt and sugar) if you plan on cooking.
We found ourselves on the porch during the day and the fire pit at night, getting lost watching the serenity of the lake. As far as things to do, the house is in reach of so many good wineries and state parks/trails. We were able to make reservations for 3 different wineries in the area and also visited the Taughannock Water Fall on our way back home (highly recommended!).
Only complaint was the bugs (small lake flies) but they weren't harmful. Just be careful with the doors because they know how to find their way in.
We are definitely coming back to this house in the near future!

Beautiful lakefront stay
The home is even more beautiful in person. The sunset views are amazing and the open floor plan allows you to get the best views of the lake all day long. The electric fireplace provided us warmth and a beautiful atmosphere. There were eight of us, two families with 4 teenagers and a dog Abs we had plenty of room. Each couple had their own king size master suite. I’ve on the 1st floor and the other in the 2nd floor. The girls (all 4y skep comfortably on one bedroom with a queens size beds and pullout sofa bed. The 4tb bedroom had two twin beds which the girls used as their dressing room.
There is a large round dining table where we were all able eat together very comfortably.
The house is located in a quiet area. One hour north of the Corning museum and one hour south the Bristol Mountain ski lodge. We were 10-20 minute away from a lot of vineyards. And Geneva has a lot of great restaurants. Our favorite was the Ports Cafe, wow it was delicious. Best lobster roll sliders I’ve ever had. We hope to come back week it’s warmer to take advantage of the lake activities. Due to Covid you need to make reservations at must if the wineries. Most were not allowing walk-Ins. Abs some restaurants are closed until the Sprint time so make sure to call ahead for reservations

Amazing home
My spouse and I rented this bungalow for a 4 night mini-vacation- we absolutely loved our time spent there. The view is amazing land the home itself is adorable. It was welcoming from the first step into the home. We will definitely return.

Perfect Winter 2021 Getaway - Seneca Bungalow
We (4 of us) loved our stay in Seneca Bungalow during the winter. There were flurries for a few days and we watched ice build-up under the dock. Just beautiful! The visit from a red fox who walked through the yard most every day was a bonus! Our daily morning coffee was enjoyed on the pouch in the white rockers, as we were all wrapped up in blankets. The evening fires at the fire pit were relaxing, too. We spent our time working on puzzles, reading, watching movies and playing board games – which you’ll find a wonderful collection at the house. The large TVs have YouTube service and we could get all of our favorite channels.
The house is very well appointed and stocked. Calvin has thought of everything! If you don’t believe me, be sure to check-in with Calvin before you pack and bring along items that may already be in the house. Parking is at ground level and we were able to park right next to the door which made it very easy to move our items in and out of the house.
The house was warm and cozy. The fireplace adds a nice touch. We cooked all meals at the house, because of COVID. Plenty of cutting boards, bowls, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, etc. If you like big coffee/tea mugs, you may want to bring one along. The mugs are a very nice medium size. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms well equipped with toiletries and nice towels, too.
Calvin was very responsive to all of our questions before and during our stay.
We can’t wait to return to Seneca Bungalow next winter, too! Thanks, Calvin.

Great Autumn Experience!
We are 3 couples and long-time friends. This trip was rescheduled from June due to COVID-19. We enjoyed the house and the view. The leaves were still full of color.
We visited 5 wineries for tastings. The absolute best was Wagner's and our tasting guide was John -- the best! The best dinner restaurant was Ports on the West side of Lake.
Could not have been a better experience. THANK YOU!

Beautiful, Clean Lake House - Owner Responsiveness Disappointing
We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful lake house and thought the property was very clean. We also found the location convenient to many local attractions.
The disappointing issues were the unresponsiveness from the owner when we were trying to plan our trip, problems with the refrigerator (burnt out light; ice machine and water dispenser not working), missing crockpot, and the fourth rocking chair was missing from the back porch.

Fantastic stay lakeside and first time visiting the Finger Lakes
We had a great long weekend with family and friends at this gorgeous lakeside property. Perfect size for the 8 of us - we all had our own bedrooms and bathroom.
Location was perfect (other than the parking was a little precarious and tight and it is right off the main road - but hardly any traffic). Situated right on the lake and close to Three Brothers and Ventosa Vineyards (which we highly recommend) and also not too far from Geneva.
Had a fire every night (love the adirondack chairs around the fire pit) and kayaked every day. There's a local firehouse for firewood for anyone looking for some. House was fully stocked although we brought way more than we needed. We hope to go back again soon and appreciate the hospitality Calvin!

Best View of the Lake
The house was beyond expectations and the little detail such as fabric softer and soaps in the bathroom was added touch! Would stay again! Started to plan my next stay.

Planning our next trip!
This was exactly what our family needed! We had a wonderful stay. The property was exactly as described and immaculately clean. All the comforts of home and it was even stocked with board games and movies. It was windy while we were there so we didn’t venture out on the kayaks but the life jackets provided are new, all linens were bright white, and so fresh. We felt like we were staying at a top notch hotel but with the luxuries of home. The best part is that our chocolate lab was able to make the trip with us. She isn’t a professionally trained therapy dog but she is VERY MUCH a therapy dog for our son. Calvin was absolutely wonderful to work and we can’t wait to go back! The pictures of the dock and one bedroom have not been updated- the dock is new, beautiful trex decking and very wide and the smaller bedrooms upstairs now has two twin beds. The whole house is beautifully decorated and so bright and welcoming. Loved every minute of our trip!!

Fabulous house and location!
This house is fantastic. Totally updated and the open floor plan was gorgeous with total water views. Location was perfect — short ride into Geneva and to the grocery store and really close to some wineries and breweries. Great access to lots of different hikes, too, around Seneca, Cayuga and Keuka! Some of the pictures need updating: the bunk bed is no longer there and instead there are two twin beds, which was a panic for a second, with three kids, but the pull outs in the other two top floor bedrooms saved the day. There is also a great new dock for the house, which wasn’t viewable in the earlier pics and was AWESOME for sitting out on to watch sunset. The house was so well-stocked with towels, kitchen tools, kayaks, everything you need for a great lake vacation. Perfect spot to explore the Finger Lakes from!
