Just two miles away is the picture-perfect village of Warkworth with its hillside castle, pubs, shops and scenic walks along the banks of the river. Young witches and wizards are drawn to Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter films. You can also visit the impressive water gardens and the world’s largest treehouse-turned restaurant whilst you’re there.
Characterised by vast golden stretches, pristine bays and rolling sand dunes, it’s little wonder why the coastline north of Amble was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Heritage Coastline offers plenty of cycle and footpaths for outdoorsy types of holidaymakers. Truly, Island View is a great location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt county with all necessary amenities right on your doorstep.
