We had an incredible week for our mini moon in Heyope cottage. Diane was a lovely, and very helpful host. The scenery is stunning. We loved sitting outside, listening to nothing but the wildlife around us. There is a good choice of places to eat in the village of Knighton, we enjoyed a very tasty meal at ‘the banc’. There is also a pub within a 40 minute walk but not much else locally which was fine for us as we spent so much time at the property. The log fire and hot tub were a nice treat, particularly with the rubbish weather we had. We hope to return one day

Our stay at Heyope Cottage was absolutely wonderful - it is located in the middle of nowhere and the nearest shop was about about 10-15 minute drive away, but that was exactly what we were looking for. Diane was also kind enough to provide some of the essentials for our arrival - and there is very detailed information about where you can go to get food, etc. We loved the hot tub and our little boy and dog loved the extra garden space. The only thing we struggled with was that the shower wasn't great, but otherwise the stay was spot on.

As is to be expected, there are a lot of narrow and winding single lane roads to get to the cottage but, once there, the location is absolutely stunning. If you want peace, quiet and beautiful scenery this is the place for you. Absolutely fantastic for dog walks too. You need to drive about 10 minutes into Knighton for supermarkets and a selection of eateries/takeaways, but there is a pub in the village just a few minutes' drive down the road from the cottage which sells food to eat in or take out. The cottage itself is the perfect size for a family of four. There was just myself, my husband, our 16-year-old daughter and our Labrador on this break, so there was plenty of room. Comfy sofas in the living room, dining table for four and the covered porch area is nothing short of massive, with plenty of garden furniture, as well as an additional tall fridge freezer. Great sized enclosed garden with lounger chairs, A-frame bench and a goal! Perfect for boys and girls wanting to kick a ball around. The hot tub is under a brick and timber gazebo so you can still use it on those rainy days. The bathroom was spacious (which is unusual for a rental in my experience) with plenty of room in the shower cubicle. The two bedrooms were a good size with a good amount of storage. The only downside for me was the bed. I do suffer with my back and I found the bed to be really uncomfortable. However, when we mentioned this to the owner, she did her best to help by added a quilt to the mattress to act as a topper. Unfortunately it did not really assist, which was a shame. I would suggest that perhaps having a good quality mattress topper to hand to add to a bed for guests would be a good idea. This is the only reason we dropped a point, otherwise this cottage would have definitely received a 10/10 from us. A fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Heyope cottage! The place was lovely and clean! The kitchen was well equipped. The owner Diane left a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Out of all the mill farm cottages we definitely recommend one of the ones with WiFi as neither myself or my partner had signal when in the cottage!
We had such a good time just bare in mind that most of the activities are a drive away!

A lovely but remote cottage. No telephone or internet connection- you need to drive 20 mins for this.
The cottage itself is small but lovely, with fantastic rural views.

The cottage is very rural so perfect to switch off and find some peace and quiet. The welcome pack was the best we have had and there was even one for our dog. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing evenings and the table tennis and pool table down the little path was good for some fun.
For peace and total relaxation the cottage is perfect with views that are stunning no matter what the weather.

This place was exactly what we needed.
This place was exactly what we needed. A lovely break away from everything. The cottage was lovely and spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen. The only “downside” was that it was down some narrow lanes! Overall me and my husband (and dog) would recommend this place and will be back. Spectacular scenery, the quietness was wonderful waking to birdsong, sheep bleating was lovely to hear, Knighton town was quaint, quiet and friendly.

Amazing place.
Amazing place. Exactly as described. The host (Diane) is extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage is spacious and clean(there were 4 of us).The new sofas were great. It is greatly equipped. It is very peaceful and relaxing- exactly what we were looking for.
They give you extra wood for the fireplace, most places only provide the first basket and charges for extras. The hot tub is quite big( needs more lights in it from my point of view)
We had some Easter treats?.
We will most definitely return.

The cottage is in a lovely quiet location and is equipped with everything you need.
The cottage is in a lovely quiet location and is equipped with everything you need. The hottub was fantastic and very welcome after a long day exploring. Lots to see and do within a reasonable drive. Knighton nearby has shops or 30 minutes away is Llandrindod Wells for Tesco. If you want peace and quiet I definitely recommend.
