This cottage is sat in the middle of the village yet feels private. It is spacious and well equipped. The beds were comfortable as were the sofas downstairs. The kitchen was good and had everything we required. It was nice to have a proper dining table. We had a lovely week in this cottage and would definitely go again.

We had a rally superb week in early October and found Laurel cottage both well equipped and cosy of an evening. Its location is great and the little creek and mill pond just down the hil were a delight to see every day. we enjoyed the two pubs and the two places to eat out too as well as the well stocked village stores where everyone was so friendly and they stocked some very nice gins.
Fantastic walks all around and good local butchers and fishmongers not far away.

Lovely, comfortable cottage in pleasant village location. The cottage is very well equipped. It is very central for visiting many attractions in the South Hams. We had our two dogs with us and there are many good dog walks from the cottage. Would definitely recommend this cottage to others and hope to visit again ourselves.

Laurel Cottage is charming and the interior is well kept, nicely furnished and is fully equipped. Two very nice modern bathrooms and the kitchen is a good size.
The garden requires some attention, but if you have a dog it is secure with a laurel hedge and fencing all around.
The village is nice and the inlet from the River Dart provides an a focus of interest. There is a pub almost opposite with dining and another about 70 yards further down the road.

It's a wonderful cottage so well located near to the Mill Pond and Dart river. We loved our stay there, canoed every day and ate by the pond each morning and evening at the brilliant Shack restaurant. Very recommended. The owner Lynn was also on hand immediately when we needed her.

Lovely cottage full of character.
Lovely cottage full of character. Very well equipped and clean. Village quiet but has the basics and the locals are very friendly and chatty. Went with Pip the Collie who was welcomed into both local pubs and the 'River Shack' down by the Mill Pond. Cottages this nice are never cheap but you get what you pay for. Very customer focussed owners. Totally recommend.
Parking is down at the Mill Pond for which you get a permit. If you have any level of fitness that is not a problem despite others commenting but if anyone in your party has a disability or health issue worth checking out with Ben or Lynn.

Absolutely Fantastic! A lovely cottage in a beautiful location.
Absolutely Fantastic! A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Perfectly positioned between the pub and the peaceful and quiet inlet which is a stroll away. Great crabbing off the Quay and a lovely cafe/coffee shop.
The cottage itself is probably the best equipped we've ever stayed in ( and we've stayed in lots of cottages over the years ) with everything you need in the kitchen and throughout. Everything has been thought of and is supplied. Spotlessly clean, two bath/shower rooms, comfy beds with quality bedding, cosy and warm when you need it to be but light and airy with the stable door in warmer weather.
Great village position for days out. Two pubs in the village, plus a great shop supporting local produce. Fish & Chips in Brixham straight from the fish market, good pubs and eating in Totnes. So much to do we ran out of time, didn't get time to do the 'round robin' trip - steam train - bus - river boat trip. Didn't get a chance to go down to Salcombe. We definitely need to come back! Can't wait, but don't want to tell too many people our secret! Next time we're hiring a boat for the week from Dartmouth!
