Bailey Company billiards table and kitchenette with bar sink and full-sized refrigerator perfect for serving drinks and refreshments. The theater room is equipped with a 9ft. projection screen and three rows of tiered seating for an audience of up to eighteen people. French doors lead from the rec room to the backyard with private pool, covered cabana with tiki bar, and grilling area with two charcoal grills. The sound system in the rec room is also wired to poolside outdoor speakers. The bubbling hot tub is located conveniently next to the pool.

We had stayed in this home in 2020. Came back because it we enjoyed the location, the pool, dog friendly, spacious shared spaced, on the ocean and had a pool. Had been dissatisfied maintenance at that time but were hoping it had improved. It was worse. Really neglected. We will not be renting this one again.

We had a great time in Kill Devil Hills. The weather was beautiful almost every day. Our house was ready on time!The location was great with a gradual walkway to the beach. The house had some great aspects and some disappointing ones. First the good. It had lots of room, the two refrigerators, 2 dishwashers and pantry closet were great! There were two large tables and enough chairs that our large family group of 16 all had a seat at one of the tables for meals. The rooms bedrooms were nice and the mattresses comfortable. The house was clean. The pool was nice and big and a wonderful place to relax after coming back from the beach. Plenty of parking. The not so good: The advertised theater room was not usuable. The projector needed a bulb. Even if it had one the technology was subpar. There were no directions, lots of remotes. As far as we could tell the only thing you could play were dvds. There were none provided and since we didn’t know we couldn’t steam we didn’t bring any. The tv in the main family room was tiny - maybe a 32 inch at best, in a space that could have accommodated a much larger one. There were many burned out light bulbs and although we reported it to the property management company and were assured it would be rectified it never was. All in all a nice house but for the money we paid I would have expected a little more.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Going to Carolina beach house. We had 16 family members from 5 family units, and we were able to find the right bedroom and bathroom combinations for all. We loved being able to all eat together in the large dining area, and the pool plus proximity to the beach were taken advantage of by all. Our kids and grandkids loved the movie theater as well. Some of the appliances are aging, but other than that the house is in good general condition. We definitely would recommend this for large family gatherings.

Sixteen of us (aged 23-89) stayed in this house for a week in late Oct. Overall, it's a big, beautiful house with plenty of space and amenities for all to enjoy. It was clean when we arrived. There were, however, many small-ish items that need fixing or replacing. When I texted the rental company about some of these things, they did indeed send repair people who did take care of some things, such as repairing a dryer and getting some outlets to work. Other things, however, will take a larger effort and more time to fix, such as the staircase from the pool deck up to the third-floor balcony. It's wobbly and much of the hardware is rusty or missing. Also, an electrician came to fix some of the outside lights, since zero of them worked when we arrived. When the electrician left, some of the lights flicked on for a second but then went out so we were still left with zero functioning outside lights. Some of the windows didn't lock. Some doors didn't lock. Some of the bedroom dressers had drawers that fell out onto the floor if you opened them and I don't think any of the TVs in the bedrooms worked (though I'm not sure all of us even tried to turn them on). The kitchen tables were great for all 16 of us to gather for food and games but the chairs were super uncomfortable and several were wobbly with loose parts. None of these things hindered our enjoyment and we still loved the house, the pool, the beach, the theater room etc but some things definitely do need to be fixed.

We had a lovely family vacation with plenty of room for everyone. The property was clean aside from the windows. There is a lot that needs to be repaired in this property. The hot tub is continuously leaking, the outside stairs are leaning and will be an issue in the near future, many of the tvs were not hooked up properly, one of the dishwashers isn't working, and several of the sinks stoppers are lodged in the drains so the sink does not drain. In general everything was clean and generally usable, however this property needs a big overhaul with the handy man.

We stayed here 4 years ago for a family reunion and loved it so much we decided to rent it a again, and we were very disappointed. It has not been taken care of and was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. Upon check in several of the bathrooms hadn't been clean, the kitchen counter was dirty, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, the floors were sandy, the bedrooms were not cleaned and probably hadn't been vacuumed properly in months. We found a millipede graveyard under a bed, an old soda can under the dresser, an open bag of cheetos in a bathroom, a fly strip with dead flies attached was hanging from the ceiling fan in the main room and SO much more. There was a large bag of trash inside the front door, and the elevator didn't work. The elevator WAS fixed right away, but calls later in the week to fix a broken dishwasher and dryer were ignored. Two days before we left the second floor shower was leaking down stairs into one of the lower bedrooms, and you could tell it wasn't the first time. We will NOT ever stay here again!

The home was the most easily accessible beachfront house we have ever rented. Since it was a private boardwalk we felt safe having the kids walk back and forth to the beach as needed and it was so convenient for bathroom trips and food and drink instead of lugging so much stuff down with us. We would go down to the beach for sunrises, sunsets and late moon walks. The pool was outstanding to go back to when it got to hot or to windy down on the beach.

Going to Carolina
The property location is excellent and convenient to shopping and other activities. Beach access is excellent as is the view.
A large property that accommodated four families very nicely, providing ample room for large family dining and privacy when needed. However, there are issues that need immediate attention: The property manager, Tiffany Grier is not responsive to problems and did not return phone calls or emails. The pool while great for kids, developed a problem on Sunday, day two, that was not corrected until Tuesday : The pool light came loose from the wall exposing electrical wiring.
The spa is not properly maintained and two persons developed rashes one requiring a visit to the ER for antibiotic and steroid treatment. There were three doctors in our group who believe the spa was the most likely source of bacteria.
While we would consider staying in this property again, it needs considerable attention, including deep cleaning and a more responsive and professional management team

Hello, I don't know how to say this but this house is the worst house I have ever stayed at. We book house like this two times a year for the past 7 years now. It was dirty and nasty. There is no way it was cleaned before my family and I got there. There was beer caps all over the place that my children or anyone for that matter could have stepped on the steps on the outside deck from 2nd floor to the top floor does not seem to be safe the steps at the front entrance does not look so safe either . Not sure who does your inspection but had they come there they would have seen what looks to be blood on the wall , dust and bugs on the stove vent , dead bugs on the walls , trash , dirty countertops bathroom, and the BLACK MOLD in the closet was the worst spot I seen in the house. I can keep on going is the sad part.

The house was very comfortable for 12 of us. The 2 refrigerators and dish washers were perfect. But the house is showing it's age and there is a lot of wear in the carpets, windows, furniture and outdoor stair cases. Several outside steps were loose, several windows no longer had the cranks to open and close them, the house needs to be painted inside and out. Where the house was patched inside it was done in different colors. Rotten wood outside and the house is just dirty. Plus, the hot tub leaked so there was always water in the area underneath. We also found a dirty sock in one of the upstairs bedrooms (it was not even hidden - it was in plain sight).

Although this rental was by far the most expensive we've ever rented, it was definitely not worth the extra money. The pool heater caught on fire, one of the bed frames fell apart (someone had repaired it previously with drywall screws! We fixed it correctly), dressers were missing knobs leaving sharp screws exposed, chunks of carpet were missing and extremely dirty, the pantry had Doritos all over the floor, one of the beds had been slept in, curtains were falling down, and just generally not the home you would expect for the amount of money paid.

For the price we paid the carpets were so stained and smelled, pool lounge chairs were broken, Theatre had a sign that it didn't work-we called the first day as we had little kids for that purpose and no one ever showed up. Huge bummer! House also wasn't ready in time - we had to call and couldn't get in until after 8pm.

The property is strategically located and the pool area was great. Overall the property is dated and worn looking and in need of updating. Does not look cared for. Additionally small worm like “critters” invaded the lower level. This was reported and pest control was out timely to spray -which did not seem to take care of them . Me & my family have vacationed in this area for over 20 yrs, but this was our first stay at this particular rental. The location and services from the rental office were "excellent". Moreover, there are many good internal amenities of the rental property; for example, the theater room, three refrigerators, spacious bedrooms,and two ovens. On the other hand, the condition and cleanliness of the property were not that good in some areas. For example, the toilet in one of the bathrooms(on the top floor) was not working properly; while a service provider came out, he could not correct the problem, and said it just needed replacing(but never replaced it). The hot tub was not completely operational(jets not working). I place a call in for it but no one came out. The carpet in some areas was soiled and in need of cleaning and/or replacement. A 1st flr bedroom had mold growing in the closet. Dead bugs were on the floor in a 2nd flr bedroom. Ice maker in main kitchen was frozen solid to the top(so had to buy ice until it all thawed out and removed). 4 empty lighter fluid containers were on the ground by the grill. And coffee grinds were in the coffee maker. Finally, a better variety of cooking and serving utensils would be useful. If improvements were made, me and my family would definitely rent this proper again for years to come(and recommend it to other family and friends).

We stayed at this house beginning the end of July into first few days of August. Love the location and beach experience. My first vacation in OBX was in the late 50s doing the tent camping type with immediate family and sometimes friends and have been coming back intermittently for the between years. I love it there.

Shockingly Terrible
This property is RUN DOWN. I will start with the good things. House is large and pool (not pool area, just pool) is nice. Everything else is awful. Outside is rotting and falling apart. No gas grill, only charcoal. Chairs are cheap and uncomfortable. There is no umbrella or shade on the upper deck. Inside, walls and rugs are filthy, furniture is all scratched, stained and old. The bathrooms were actually not too bad. The kitchen...don't get me started. My sister and I spent the first hour washing all the caked on, dried up food on the cabinets. All the supplies in the kitchen were old and worn. Stove knobs were all broken. The counter top was also all cracked by the sink. There is no disposal.
Every year we stay in homes that are in the same price range. They have all been lovely well kept homes. The owner should be embarrassed to present this house for rent. Beach Realty misrepresented this home. They delete the reviews from their website. I have proof of this. I have pictures if anyone is interested.
