Great place to stay. Accommodations were clean and well kept. Very quiet and private. Owners were on site and very respectful of our privacy. Across the water from the site is a wildlife sanctuary and you see lots of the wildlife it was very enjoyable. Also the location was centrally located to everything on Lake Leelanau and the northeastern side of Lake Michigan.

The cottage was in the perfect location for our trip to Leelanau. It had everything we needed for a delightful stay. We loved waking up to the water view and ending our day by the fire!

My family of four (plus one small dog) loved this place! The location was ideal for us traveling to the Dunes, Glen Arbor, Traverse City and more! The place was big enough for the four of us and very clean. The town was super cute and you could walk to various restaurants to eat, coffee shop and grocery store. My kids loved that there was an ice cream place literally next door. We had a great time!

The property owner and staff were all very friendly and kind and very helpful. The little town was wonderful. All the people were so friendly and the food was good and all the little restaurants around great experience… mostly we got the rest and peacefulness we need it.♥️ Thank you, Hilary

Stayed in the loft for a week. Plenty of room for my husband and myself. Loft was very clean and had everything we needed. There is no oven but has a microwave and a two burner stove. This was fine for us. Pretty scenery from our deck and was able to sit and watch the boats go by in the narrows. The staff at the little marina was very helpful and answered all our questions. Rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and was able to fish and enjoy the lake. The village of Leelanau is small and quiet but centrally located between Sleeping Bear Dunes Park and Traverse City. Never drove more than 30 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. Did lots of hiking and some bike riding at Sleeping Bears Dune Park very beautiful. Bike trails are in good condition and mostly paved. Hilary the owner was very nice and easy to work with. He met us when we got there and explained everything to us. We usually saw him at least once a day out by the marina. Would stay in the loft again.

Cute cottage right on the Narrows! Great location with walkability to stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. Added bonus, water toy rental located on the premises. Thanks Hilary for an enjoyable stay!

We loved our stay - the property was right now the narrows with a large yard for the kids to run around. A lot of great places within walking distance for when you are not on the water. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We traveled as grandparents with three children 9 and under. The location was perfect. The kids loved having the large property to run around and play. Their favorite was fishing off the dock and walking to get ice cream every day. Sleeping was sufficient for the five of us. We did not need to try out the AC as it was a little chilly. One thing we missed was a washer and dryer. A small suggestion would be for somewhere to hang out wet towels to dry. Thank you Hilary!

Hillary is a great host! My family and I stayed for the weekend of the Bayshore Marathon. My cousin was training for that marathon when she was hit and killed while running and we all came to partake in the marathon in her memory. Hillary was so compassionate to my family and knew my cousin. Our stay was emotional but having the ease of two homes together right by the water was wonderful. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit and told stories and ate s’mores. It was so healing for us all to be together. We enjoyed time out on the water on the pontoon boat and the shallows we unbelievable! Thank you Hillary for being so kind to our family during this difficult time. It was EXACTLY what we all needed.

An absolutely wonderful place to rest before or after a day of touring. The property is updated inside and out.
The beds were comfy and clean, the kitchen was well stocked and clean, and the bathroom was also clean. There is new beautiful decking, nice outdoor waterside seating, and a great firepit we cooked over. The small town of Lake Leelanau was having a festival while we were there and their small eateries were very tasty. You will not regret a stay here!

The check in and checkout were so easy and the cabin quaint! Close to everything we wanted to do! Just what we needed!

It was a good experience. Property owner makes sure you have what you need to experience what the area has to offer. Really enjoyed using the fire pit and the nighttime skies. (Musty smell but lighting candle that was provided helped)

We stayed in The Cottage. It was as described. Well stocked with towels, bedding, paper products, and kitchen stuff. Adirondack chairs around the shared firepit and beautiful yard. Wicker furniture on deck. We brought bikes and paddle boards. There was plenty of room to unload them & we had no worries about them being bothered. Host was friendly, accomodating, and welcoming to our dog. Nice place to stay!

Lots to look at on the Narrows! The cottage is fairly simple, but nice and the beds had been upgraded, which we appreciated. Use of the kayaks was appreciated and all in all, this is a good place to stay to explore the area.

Nice, but not for those with pet allergies
We had a great and comfortable stay at this cottage. But upon arrival we were immediately hit with the smell of an animal house and my husband and I suffered from allergies the whole time we were in the cottage (the symptoms would get better as soon as we left). We knew this was a dog friendly property but the listing says “non shedding only” so we didn’t expect it to smell like wet Labrador and make us feel so sick. Just a word of caution for those who have allergies! Otherwise, it was a nice place.

Perfect location
We loved our stay here. My two kids had a blast running around the huge, beautiful yard, and we enjoyed family bonfires and sitting out by the water. The property was very clean, and it was so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go - Suttons Bay, Leland, and Glen Arbor. The town of Lake Leelanau is absolutely wonderful. It was easy to walk to Boathouse Vineyards, Pedaling Beans coffee, NJ’s grocery, and Fiddleheads. Highly recommend!

We immediately felt at home upon arrival. The cottage was adorable and super clean. We both loved the backyard in the morning and evening. Other guests were friendly and fun to chat with. Hilary was accessible and helpful with some booking questions! We are hoping to book the entire property in the future with my parents and sister's family. This was a GREAT experience with VRBO!

Cottage needs a little TLC but in very nice area
This cottage was in a nice area and centrally located to some great northern Michigan towns. Nice lawn with firepit and boat rentals. The cottage could use a little TLC to really make it great. Even though the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were clean, there were stains and a few small holes in them. The inside of the oven was dirty and the pot holders were stained/burnt and could be easily replaced. There was a broken lamp in the bedroom, again, can be easily replaced. Even though there were blinds on the windows, there were none on either of the doors. It was chilly one night and we couldn't find any blankets. Just to have some available would of been nice, along with a few other items stocked like paper towels. There was a little bit of a musty/dog smell also, but it was rainy so that might have been a factor. Again, it just needs a little TLC to make it great.

My husband and I rented the cottage for a little memorial day weekend trip. The location of the cottage could not have been better. Boathouse Vineyards is right up the road. It was nice being able to walk up there and not have to worry about who was driving home. Every morning we walked the dogs a couple blocks to a little coffee shop. The cottage was clean and easy to find. The fire pit in the backyard was nice to have at night.

Nice small cottage. The only thing is the bathroom door needs to be replaced and it needs a little updating for the price. Hillary hooked us up with a pontoon for the day. The sunset was nice on the boat.
