About this cabin rental
My cabin is located in the heart of Mountain Home Arkansas, although it is in the city it has a country feel due to the very large yard. The cabin is great for business travelers and families on vacation. Many of our guest are coming to visit their family and want a home rather than a hotel. It is just a great place to relax.
Mountain Home is located between two lakes, Norfork Lake and Bull Shoals Lake. It is only a short drive from three rivers, the Buffalo National River, White River and North Fork River. You can enjoy all kinds of water sports like boating, canoeing and swimming. If you love fishing this is the place to come, we are well known for great fishing of all kinds all year long, as well has a variety of fishing styles such as fly fishing. The area has fabulous hiking trails, such as the well known Indian Rock House Nature Trail on the Buffalo River, the Whitaker Point Trail on the upper Buffalo Wilderness area, many trails near Blanchard Springs Caverns, as well as local trails such as David’s Trail. We have some great places to enjoy horseback riding and if you love to play golf, Mountain Home has two beautiful golf courses.
We are less than an hour’s drive from Mountain View, which is well know for folk music and crafts. The Ozark Folk Center and the famous Blanchard Springs Caverns are located near Mountain View.

The cabin was wonderful. So much work gone into the decor. I like the fact that you were close to everything in town but when you sat on the porches or back room, you felt like you were out in the woods. It was furnished with everything we needed. It was a good time. I would stay again, but I will say it needs at least one comfortable chair. The seating was beautifully made, but not very comfortable. That wasn’t a big deal but just wanted to mention that thank you so much for your hospitality.

It is a beautiful, relaxing place to be with family or to just unwind. Kitchen was stocked with everything, lots of towels, very comfortable bed. My mom and aunt live close by there and they had no idea this place was even there. It was like no one was even around, but you are close by to places. I would recommend this place to people. I would come again. Two thumbs up 👍👍

The woodwork made the place feel special and it was very clean. Close to town with a beautiful expansive yard. I would have been concerned to have a child or toddler in the loft area.

This property was wonderful for our trip to see family in Mountain Home! The interior was stunning and clearly created by a master woodworker, with much attention to details. The home was clean, accessible to the college, parks, and restaurants. You are in town, but you feel like you are in the country. We will definitely stay again when visiting our relatives.

When pulling up, I wasn’t convinced that it would be very quiet or private to be honest. The way it’s set up, once you are in the cabin, it’s like a transformation. You don’t hear any cars. All you see is grass and trees. From the front it seems like other houses are quite close..but you’d never know it. It was so peaceful. It’s like this hidden gem of a secret garden that you’d never know exists. I am 100% staying here for my next trip. I know it’s a weird thing to say but the water pressure was amazing. Cabins a lot of times have crappy pressure. This place was better pressure than back home! Makes for a lovely shower! Even a washer dryer to use if needed. It truly has everything and feels very state of the art with cool lighting and a stocked kitchen with everything you could need and then some. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

I’ve booked the property two years in a row for my son’s golf tournament. The location is convenient to the course and also downtown. The nearby neighbors are very friendly and the house is beautiful. We’ve enjoyed our stay for two consecutive years.

Our stay was very pleasant and convenient. Mountain Home has a variety of places to eat out and the cabin was equiped for eating in and entertaining on a small scale. Beautiful cozy cabin. Nicely secluded from the main road. Beautiful scenery! Our cabin owners were very helpful and informative.
I would stay here again in a heart beat!!

We stayed last year. Dog hair everywhere, muddy dog prints on bed. Understand that things happen. We did book again this year. Very clean. All good until Friday, November 25th when I am with friends. I get a phone call that we were supposed to be checked out by 11 am and a cleaning person is in our rental. I have to walk 2 miles to find my information. We paid through the 26th. It was not a good experience.

This is our 2nd time renting this property, it’s a beautiful gem in downtown Mountain Home! Our first time renting was a long weekend in Oct 2020, this time it was for a week September 2022. Our stay was perfect once again! The owner and property Mgr are always great!

My wife and I rented this house for our anniversary trip. It was a reasonable distance to Caulfield, Missouri where we kayaked and Mountain View, Arkansas where we went to see all the artisan shops. The house was very clean and included nice woodwork and real stone walls. We enjoyed the screen porch and the sunroom just to relax. There are a couple other houses sharing the same driveway, but we had no trouble parking and the neighbors were friendly and quiet. The checkout process was as trouble free as we have experienced and we’ve stayed in quite a few VRBOs. As usual, there was a cleaning fee with the rental, but there was not a long list of “take out the trash, strip the beds, start the dishes, etc”. It felt like we actually were receiving a service for the cleaning fee as we packed up our stuff and left with no detailed to-do list left by the owner. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent cabin/cottage!
Great place to stay in Mountain Home. Quiet street with a huge yard. Enjoyed all aspects - interior was clean and well appointed - bedrooms awesome with super comply mattresses - deck and screened in porch totally cool - yard was private. Great amenities - towels, pots and pans, spices, coffee. Really charming place to stay. P.S. if you’re a TV watcher, there’s a nice smart TV. Best to have a laptop to connect for channels with your provider.

Nice but could do better
Here are the complaints. If you're staying by yourself (or +1) you'll probably sleep in the loft king bed. There is no fan up there, the full bath is downstairs, there is a VERY small half bath upstairs but you may hit your head on the ceiling or on the sink when you sit on the toilet. If you're looking for a hangout spot book somewhere else. There's a picnic table, a breakfast table, and some pretty uncomfortable seating in a sunroom area. Looks cool, not super comfortable for long periods of time. Location is solid. It was a good spot for us as a couple but anymore than that and it just wouldn't work.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. It’s hidden and you’d never expect, from the outside, that it’d be so artistic and beautifully crafted. We plan to return for another visit.

Mountain Home VRBO
Although I was a little skeptical at first, this property was absolutely stunning! The furniture, the amenities, location all perfect for our 3-day stay. The wifi door was a little difficult but we eventually figured it out. The price was great as well. This would accommodate 4 - 6 people comfortable. A thumbs up all the way around for sure! We will look forward to another stay here in the future.
